The goat has spoken. Although I’m not surprised by Nexon’s refusal to properly compensate their players on the forefront, I can’t see how anyone can defend their actions by saying we should blame ourselves. Absolute nonsense.
there are other pet skill buffs still in the game LOL if you dig around you can find which pets its from ;) (no longer available obviously aka legacy pet skill buffs in reboot)
They have a strong track record of giving nothing back. Just look at recently deleted itsms or buffs they gave out. Buff dreezer, they deleted all of them without any compensation. Broid, they deleted the skill and kept it in the cycle of marvel. If you go deeper into the mechanics of money you will even see tyrant gear still in the mix as a viable gear item to win in marvel, which in reg is a dead item to even consider. Nexon is a cash cow and I'm here paying a guy to milk it while only getting drops...
Imagine if blizzard or EA did something similar, they would be under fire. If someone bought a candy bar only to find out it gave them food poisoning, the manufacturer is liable. The manufacturer most certainly didn’t intend for that to happen, but just because the manufacturer didn’t intent for it to happen doesn’t make it okay or solve the issue. They need to be held accountable regardless of consumer awareness. Not every Maplestory customer has played the game for dozens if not hundreds in of hours to understand Nexon’s predatory reputation/Management. Most people don’t even bother to look into and ingest Industry censuses and just buy the things they want to enjoy themselves. To hold that fundamental part of the industry against them is unrealistic.
I saw that update because my afk was logged out and I was like I wondered what unintentional pet buff could be reserved not for grubby reboot hands. Honestly, I say fair mistake, even though theyve been doing pets like these for a long time now so youd think theyd have people overlooking that small detail. I think the full refund to the players SHOULD be the right thing to do, even if its only a reset to those players who actually purchased boxes during that time, as much as they are trying to limit reboot now since what I can only assume was that event months ago where a high amount of korean players went to reboot because a KN streamer went and advertised it, they have been bending over reboot left and right. Nexon is honestly a disgusting company, I had an account banned for being in henesys at the wrong time as a hacker and was also banned, when trying to appeal it for what grounds I was banned, they wouldnt give evidence and said it was reviewed by a GM and not for debate and further open tickets would be seen as abuse of support.
Disagree with your opinion. While nexon is at fault, it's also the players' fault for not knowing better. It should be very obvious that that was not an intended effect for reboot. It's the same concept for players who abuse exploits. Sure they threw lots of money at it, but once again you should know better. If you want to play like a whale, then go fund nexon in the reg server.

@@seanlee408 I didn't disagree with that. But the consumer had their own responsibility of handling their money. Using your candy bar analogy, is the candy bars are ripped open and moldy, while it is the retailers/manufacturers primarily at fault, if consumers buy and eat those obviously contaminated candy bars, then there should be some accountability here on in the consumers end as well. Which is the problem I have with the video.
@@ProlificPianist Obviously, but that’s not the problem here. No one would buy a “ripped open and moldy candy bar”. The problem here is that people did buy ‘candy bars’ but they were rotten/moldy on the inside. Again. Regardless of external consumer awareness .
A brand new player wouldn’t know not to purchase these loot crates without being explicitly told not to by a fellow player - not a representative from the company - at the time of release. And they would not be compensated fairly either.
@@seanlee408 You're missing my point. If people are active players in reboot, they know the idea and point of reboot for how things work. To those active players, they know this is a very odd addition for reboot and caution is warranted, hence why you see all of the megaphones of people asking about the buffs and if they work. People KNOW this is fishy, and so it's up to them to avoid harm, especially when that harm comes in the form of a$1200 gamble. Also, new players aren't going to be spending over a grand in reboot for those permanent pets to begin with.
I feel like Nexon p2w is non-existent compared to other mmos and even mobile mmos like Genshin where you have to spend $$$$$$ to progress. if you're like me and like cute things and have a budget the spare than I don't think NEXON is at fault. they still need to make profit/revenue somehow to keep the game going.
I mean if you want to play the relativity game a single end game item costs a gaming console or multiple brand new triple A titles, a car payment, groceries for the month, the list goes on… There are also MMO’s that have well designed games without glaring issues every week and somehow monetize without this type of monetization surrounding every single mechanic.

Msea got the pumpkin pets for free a few years back from the mileage points exchange…. 😂😂😂😂
I was going to buy Odette Peeps but decided not to based on your advice. Thanks so much and keep it up!
Really good video, well said in every way. Nice one brother
W take
They need to be sued. In kms they did it. I love this game but it sickens me when they exploit their playbase in every server possible. Same for msea

You can complete all of genshin content with characters they give you it’s been proven before
well I guess the few months spent on trying to save up in game currency and getting no 5 star upgrades is just my bad luck eh. LOL
