Spicy Chicken Bun: Bunbelievable Soft and Fluffy.

  • Hello Foodies!! Welcome to Relish Dish 2050. Let's watch beginner friendly easy and satisfying recipes. All the ingredients in this channel are halal.
    Ingredients for Dough Preparation:
    Flour 4 cups
    Warm Water ½ cup
    Warm Milk 1 cup
    Salt ½ tsp
    Active Yeast 2 Tsp
    Butter 2 tbsp (dough)
    Oil 1 Tbsp
    Sugar 1 tsp
    Egg (dough) 1
    Spicy Chicken
    Chicken breast 2 lb
    Oil 1 tsp
    Butter 1 tbsp
    Salt 1 tsp (max)
    Onion ½ cup
    Garlic 4-5 cloves
    Tomato Ketchup 1.5 tbsp
    Peri Peri Sauce(med) 1.5 tbsp.
    Garam Masala (optional) 1 tsp.(Homemade)
    Egg wash : 1 egg + 2 tsp milk
    Preparing Yeast:
    Combine yeast sugar and warm water
    ( you can easily dip your finger) together.
    Wait for 10 minutes to rise.
    Add milk
    Mix well. Leave it for another 5 minutes.
    Preparing Stuffing:
    Heat vegetable oil and butter in a large skillet over
    medium heat. Add minced garlic saute for a couple
    of seconds to be aromatic but not burnt.
    Add chopped onions and sauté until they
    turn translucent.Add thinly sliced chicken breast
    And salt to the skillet. Cook until
    the chicken is lightly browned and cooked through
    Add Ketchup ( or tomato sauce ) and peri peri sauce.
    Add garam masala (store bought is fine).Stir well to coat
    the chicken evenly with the spices. Cook for another
    2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and
    Reduce the water quantity. You don’t need to add extra water
    for this. Cook time 8-10 minutes
    Preparing Dough:
    For better liquid control, add yeast mixture gradually.
    Otherwise dough will become too soft to shape
    If you knead by hand, then keep kneading for 7-8 minutes
    to warm the dough temperature.
    Add butter and keep kneading for a couple of minutes.
    resulting in a smoother and more homogeneous dough.
    Let it rest for an hour at least( 1st proof).
    Dividing the Dough:
    Place the dough on the floured surface and use a knife or
    bench scraper to divide it into 3 main equal portions. Then
    divide 4 equal parts from each portion. You will get
    12 equal parts. Then shape each portion into a ball.
    Cover them with damp cloth. (taking care of each portion at a
    Time will allow the dough moist throughout the process)
    Allow some space among them to rise evenly. Rest for 15 minutes
    (2nd proof)
    Making the Final Shape:
    Roll and flatten each ball. Place chicken stuffing in the middle.
    Make sure to press the edges.
    Smooth the bottom.
    Before placing the buns place a parchment sheet
    or grease the baking pan. Add egg wash and
    sesame seeds(optional)rest
    them for the last 10 minutes.
    Preheating and Baking:
    Preheat your 375F. Baking mode is on. Place them
    into the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until golden
    brown. If possible broil (low) for 1 minute to darken
    The top.
    Now you should take out the bun from the oven,
    brush the butter on the top, let it cool off and it
    is ready to be served.
