Thank you for this video. Not a lot of people tell us what you have and what you’re doing and how you do it. You’re very descriptive and as someone with a visual impairment I greatly appreciate that.

Great job! Just a tip when you ‘scrub the hub’ for 15 seconds, after that you need to let it dry for 30 as is it during the drying time that the swab kills all the bacteria 😀

💜 Wow, Hannah you did a great job setting everything up. You don't need a home nurse you doing great on your own. It's better to setup and prep everything yourself that way you know everything is done correctly. Nice tutorial video and thanks for sharing. Bye!!!👍🙂💜💛💜

I think you’re such a strong woman. This isn’t easy... my 10 month old baby girl had an ileostomy done and because of something that happened, she got more than half of her small intestines removed... I still cry about it till this day. This happened about 2 months and and rn I’m learning how to set up her tpn and lipids. What I wouldn’t do for my little world. But they said she may need it for a couple years but will still be able to eat food. I have so much faith that everything’s gonna be okay.. you inspire me so much.. please don’t ever give up. 💘

She was also born with a heart condition and because of that, I guess she was at higher risk of other health conditions and we found out 2 months ago that she was also born with malrotation.. that’s why this all happened.. but like I said.. you’re not alone. Even when you think you can’t anymore, you can. You got this.

My cousin has a heart disease and she feeds through a tube. The tube goes from the machine to a hole in her stomach. She is so sweet and incredibly smart. She also has 3 nurses that work at her home since she is only about 1 years old. Even though she is very sick she has her mom, her 5 siblings, and all her cousins.

I have a hickman line and on TPN at home for 15/16 hours everyday. And due to my other health problem i am unable to do it myself so nurses come everyday twice to connect my tpn. Is nice to know that there is someone out there with TPN. I have the yellow glucose bag aswell as the white bag which is called the Lipid bag. and I am on TPN because I can't eat because my intestines have pretty much stopped functioning due to my complex autonomicz and sensory neuropathy which is nerve damage. So eating is always difficult due to extreme stomach swelling and pain and severe vomiting.

Stupid questions. But I hope that you answer.
I've been diagnosed year's ago and have suffered mild to severe malabsorption. They put in a PEG but they couldn't figure out why I could only take a small amount and would then be sick. I have an Achalasia type condition too, so I think that they put it down to that.
I have oesophageal dilatations done every 3 months and I once ended up with aspiration pneumonia. Now when I have to have a full GA just to get it done. And even though I DON'T eat or drink after midnight, and that's a tiny amount, my stomach is still full.
Recently I threw up something that had been in my gut for over 26 hours. This isn't unusual for me.
I'm so tired, my bloods are all over the place, low in iron, B12, other essential nutrients and vitamins. Although my B12 is so low that I have to give myself intramuscular injections. My regular doctor just tells me that it's okay or to take a multivitamin. But I'm over this.
I have a really great Gastroentorologist, I'm going to discuss this with him, but how did/do you find TPN? Has it helped you immensely, as you appear so outgoing?
I'm also a nurse and back at uni studying law, but I'm warn down.
My whole days food and that's just my tea, was just a few mouthfuls and now I'm really full.
I mainly wanted to outline my case and find out how much TPN was helpful for you before I finally ask that it's started after 17 year's of this.
I should have mentioned too that because I've had so many IV's for fluids, GA's, blood draws and so on, my veins are so wrecked that even with ultrasound, they can't find a decent vein and then it's gone so quickly.
    Thanks.

You have been diagnosed with gastroparesis based on your descriptions of not being able to tolerate much volume of food and find it doesn't leave your stomach, especially if it waits so long you throw it up?
