- We embark on a new journey with an old friend (I got my license driving a Honda!). Super excited to be tuning these cars as they are right up our alley (Turbo, Direct Injection).
In this video we show you how easy it is to install and tune the car using the COBB Accessport. We then go through the gains to be had on pump gas and ethanol blends (E30) and we compare a couple of the popular intakes on the market (PRL and Eventuri).

Looking good Alex! Hopefully the factory MAF table is large enough that larger MAF housings don’t neuter the resolution too much. And hopefully Cobb has enabled fast flash for your sake!
The MAF table is looking good and I am looking forward to playing around with bigger housings and different sensors. The car is sensitive to airflow measurements through the intake and we will be exploring more of that.

We work with most of our customers remotely. No need for a remote shop.
you mentioned addition map upload to the accessport by you if we purchase from you. what mods are required for your map?
We always build our maps based on your mods and fuel you are using. So our custom tunes will match your car.
question, with a hks intercooler, eventuri intake & pipe with stock exhaust how much hp would it pull with the Cobb map file tune on pump 93?
Cobb is just a way of flashing the car. The results you see here are from custom tuning done by us. I estimate the intercooler to be worth 5-10hp and intake doesn’t add much as we show.
I'm considering purchasing the cobb AP for my 21 but wondering if it would be okay to go with the 93 octane map that it currently has..car is currently stock. I used 93 fuel here... (premium that's required)

I'm just wondering if it would it require a custom tune afterwards if I was to get the PRL intake down the line along with downpipe etc.. or would the OTS tune still work and benefit with those upgrades?
The custom tuning is a big benefit of the Cobb AP as every car is a bit different and fuel quality changes from area to area even through it may be rated the same. This is the great power of the Cobb AP.
We found both OTS tunes from the AP and Hondata to have room for improvement in terms of power and driveability.
@@stratifiedauto ok so, going forward, would the car need a retune if I was to add a new intake & exhaust down the line? I know if downpipe added, it will need a custom tune, or would the 93 octane one still be good? With the other upgrades, would it still increase power with the preset tunes on the AP? Meaning it would still run good, not too lean or rich, the MAF sensors adjusts that but is it adding any stress to other components?
My recommendation is to adjust the tune when changing exhaust or intake flow parts. They affect the turbo response and this car is quite sensitive to this. The intake itself does affect the MAF calibration and should be tuned for. Both the Cobb and Hondata tunes we tested did not run optimally on our test car until we dialed them in.
just curious, after unlocking the engine, will the warranty still work for this car? is it revertible for the unlocking step?

After unlocking if you uninstall the AP it will lock it back up.
To unlock the ECU, did you just plug the Accessport in and unlock it that way? Or was there another plug in that you used to unlock the ECU first, then plug in the Accessport?
For up to 2019 cars this is all you need to do. For 2020-21 cars you need another plug that is included with every AP.
@@stratifiedauto Cool, thanks for clarifying. I bought my 2021 FK8 used with a catback exhaust and a PRL intake already installed. No other signs that it has been tuned but I don't know for sure. I'm really interested in the AP but don't want to brick the ECU if there is a tune already on it. Any advice on what I can do?
With the AP it will recognize the ECU and guide you through the process. We haven’t seen issues if you follow the steps and make sure to have a charger on the battery.
Can you change settings similar to Hondata, like start in r mode?
Currently no. Great suggestion, I will pass it onto the dev team.
In your opinion is it worth going e85 ?
Absolutely. Easiest way to add power to a turbo car when tuned for it.
does this work on 2024 integra type S?
No, I just saw them replying on their own channel to these questions. They're working on it though.
