This house should be made a historical landmark.
100%
AMEN!
Agreed 💯
Why
"retains much of it's original detail".....in other words, not a dime has gone into maintenance
_"retains much of it's original _*_charm_*_ "_ ...in other words, it's a *dump*
The house has been fully restored and is back on the market as of 7/20/22!
dig around that house and you might find a valuable baseball memorabilia.
Almost bought this gem. Veto by wife. Red Sox fan. She said me or Lou. In the end, I chose her. Divorced her. Still regret it.
A piece of history right here
I would buy it, if it came with Gehrig's ghost.
Does that guy really think, that the New York Yankees took their uniforms home for their mother's to wash?
Who knows. I just learned that the players back then took the rain tarp on and off. Makes sense when you consider how cheap the owners were back then.
I am sure some of them did...this was in an era before the athletes got waited on hand and foot.
He lived at home. Why not?
The Chicago White Sox didn't become known as the Black Sox because of the WS scandal. The owner, Charles Comisky, was a cheap bastard who refused to have the unis washed. They played in dirty unis.
Back then? Absolutely.
great video
It's was pa and ma Gehrig's house . Not Lou's . A gift for them .
Yes, but he did live there for about 5 yrs till he got married.
Nice place but needs indeed a LOT of money to fix it up.
How I wish I could have this home.
Ill buy it
Purple paint for the trim?! Surely someone else did that. I don't think Lou or ma Gehrig would have chose that color.
'..would have _chosen_ that..'
Whole lot of cash to fix that up.
Gorgeous house. I hope someone does go and ruin it by 'modernising' it.
0:30 yeah, right... we got an architectural masterpiece over here.
It has now lost all of its historic appeal and charm. It should have been restored, not renovated.
Is Lou Gehrig's Disease Contagious?
Pickled eels? Are they eating at the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom dinner table?
The Gehrigs being GERMAN yes ate pickled eels.....
I bet that fried chicken and pickled eels gave him ALS probably
I would give you 10 grand, really murikans? awful
wtf are you talking about?
House needs work: looks like it has ALS.
