Kevin, sharing your life's experience & knowledge to the world is priceless. Brian Barczyk lead me to learning about NERD/this channel. Your insights & opinions are appreciated by many. We trust you. Thank you for doing what you do. We're happy to learn as long as you're happy to share. I'm about to begin a journey in streaming on Twitch, and I'll be happy to send folks this way if I ever get views. ✌️
What gorgeous animals! Not a frivolous video at all. Your concern about the heavy parasite load of wild-caught animals and how to treat it is important, as is your care advice. Good luck on breeding new generations. And thank you for this video.
I've loved every bubble gum video you've done! Always interesting and educational. Thank you! Especially since we know you're not always in the headspace to make them. ❤
That Sunbeam snake - what a doll. Yep I absolutely love these videos, really enjoying all of your new content and listening to how your beautiful, wonderful brain works. Thankyou so much x
You're right. Those are gorgeous snakes. I believe that the piebald is my favorite. I think that's what you called it. The first snake that you showed us. It was mostly white with black rings and blotches on it. It's a stunning 🐍 snake. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Wow, I had never seen an albino or pied sunbeam before. Beautiful! Another species I would like to learn more about would be pink tongue skinks...in case you're looking for more topics to cover
A Sunbeam snake is on my list of snakes I want to own. But my husband and I only want to have one burrowing snake in the collection at a time. Right now we have a Kenyan sand boa. So he's our burrowing baby for now.
I am intrigued to see other snakes which little is known about. I appreciate you taking the time to teach us what you know. Don't ever be ashamed of these so called bubble gum videos. They are serving a needed purpose.
Wow Kevin, I never seen that snake before that thing is beautiful. I like what you call the wild type more than the pied. It is just oh my God so iridescent and the albino. Oh my God I’m going to try to get some of these in the future, but I only buy them from you if I know they’ve been taking care of and dewormed. I don’t have the finances or the space right now, but I would like to get these in the future. Looking forward to the next strange Snake video as you call them love the bubblegum.
@NewEnglandReptile I have always enjoyed these type of videos so much when you put them out. You have so much to offer and even with the bubblegum videos also known as real and raw personal style those who find and stay will be here for good! No matter what! I am truly enjoying this. 😉 I am trying to start a rescue and it's so hard because I can't afford to save all I want to but watching you do these videos is making me feel confident that one animal at a time my impact will grow as big as my passion some day!
i once had the pleasure of handling a sunbeam snake at my first ever reptile show, and I’ve been in love with the species ever since. Thank you for working with these beautiful creatures!
I love them but not great pets since they spend most of their time underground where you can't see them anyway and get stressed pretty easily and captivity. Still in the hands of somebody who's really knows what they're doing it's pretty cool animal. If I didn't live in the desert I would consider keeping one.
Thank you Kevin for educating about these snakes i got to touch and feel a normal black sunbeam snake at my local reptile expo last year. I was gonna buy it for 100.00, But have no room from expanding my ball pythons and making new morphs. Keeping tight lipped about it but i will say this i have 3 genes that are neat! 1 new gene i found it in one of my dad's males and dinkering proving it out. Hatched out 6 and they are badass and 2 from the U.K. I got!!!
I love seeing the sunbeam snakes! ❤ My favorite is the normal, since the iridescence shows up so well- you did a fantastic job capturing it! I’m easily distracted, so now I’ll go back and watch it again a couple times… definitely missed info you gave the first two times I watched. 😂
What a beautiful delicate looking snake. It is so nice to see the potential of different species to become lovely pets. You bring out the best in them! On a side note...poor geckos are getting bad press here in Ontario for a Salmonella outbreak. Any reassurance or thoughts for those of us who are trying to convince our friends to own reptiles and be Reptile Lovers like us? As always greatest appreciation ❤
As always, nice looking examples of the sunbeam and mangrove snakes there Kevin. I'm Pete Locke from Mass herp society and Back Bay Aquarium on Newbury St, Troy used to deliver your juvenile tricolors etc to the store back in the late 80s. Glad to see how well you've done, it's been a long time but you made good use of it, that's for sure. I'm just starting to work with dart frogs but would love to get a pair of jungle carpet pythons from you at some point, I'll keep an eye out. Missed the CBB Bufo alvarius you guys had because I waited for the weather to warm up a little, next time I'll know better and will plan a road trip. Back at the Newbury St store I had a few Mexican burrowing pythons, Loxocemus bicolor and they are cool, somewhat similar to the sunbeams, but the wild type not as pretty as the piebald sunbeam you showed us in the video. Worked at a place on the west coast and a coworker had mangrove snakes, I love them but not worked with them yet. Spilotes pullatus the tropical chicken snake with the yellow and black I was able to raise a clutch of eggs from one, they're a nice looking animal too. Thanks again.
You have so many interesting animals. While this isn’t a species that I would want it is very interesting. Your passion for all your animals makes me want to look at so many other species.
I’ve never seen a sunbeam snake before. Very sweet and not so bitey. I like seeing some of the less popular snakes, the ones that are not on every other channel. Although I do like the popular ones as well
I first saw these beauties I was blown away by the rainbow. When I researched the care there was so little info out there. Lots of talk about them being hard to care for in captivity and the WC having a high mortality rate. I must admit I favor the reptiles that are not as popular. Really appreciate you giving to the community your knowledge on this beautiful animal. One day I hope to see them CB on the regular. Bring on the bubble gums!!! All that extra editing is fluff :/ the hobby needs more meat and potatoes like this Kevin.
Man you just keep popping up with surprises ppl don’t see much of sunbeams and boom you have not one but two different morphs crazy man I have been keeping and breeding reptiles for 30+ years and I love the stuff ppl don’t see often and you have a ton of em. That’s awesome man. I am new to keeping mangroves and this is my first attempt at breeding this yr we will see how it goes I can’t wait till Crowley baby’s are available bec I want one so bad lol I am also looking into redtailed green rat snakes I have always loved them and wish they were ore readily available as captive bred
I can almost taste that rainbow 🌈. They're beautiful. They have that same adorable fossorial look as my little sand boa too! If you haven't already, could you do a bubble gum on those at some point? I'd love to further dial in my husbandry 🙏
Thank you for your existance. I know your impact is significant. Keep showing the world the beauty of these misunderstood animals. I pray people remember snakes especially are older and will out live the human race if we don't get our shit together. peace and love my friend
Always appreciate your content time and educational information on the many different species etc. All My Friends are Cold Blooded NERD 🤓 ❤! So Grateful to have Kevin back with informative relaxed an always si much to see learn an take in Amazing 👏
Snakes in leaf litter. Yeah! Caught a worm snake once. Small a little fatter than a pencil. Had two eyes a little mouth. Brownish red color like a worm. Do you have any of those?
I have been thinking of adding a Kenyan Sand Boa to my snake family. After seeing the Sunbeam snakes, they are a consideration, if I can find them Captive Bred. They are beautiful. What about their diet? I would like to know more about them.
Thanks for doing a video on this Kevin. I haven't gotten to see a example of the male versus female for a size comparison. This helped. Do you believe the male will get much bigger than what he is in this video? Thanks again for sharing your wisdom
❤ I would listen to you all day no matter what you're talking about LOL Clint from clints reptiles do the video on these once and he said do not buy them because they will not live and that you cannot handle them and just don't get one just get a jar of alcohol because that's where they will end up?? Can you do another video about them and discuss some of that stuff? ❤😊
Most of us could watch and listen to you all day
My voice is a mess from meeting many people last weekend and I started losing my voice. Thank you. K
Glaze
The iridescence on those sunbeam snakes is crazy!! They’re beautiful.
Oh man, you should definitely make this a series, maybe call it 'species spotlight' or something.
Good idea!!!

The Sunbeam snake is a definite WOW! The natural, albino and mini-Moo are all gorgeous.
What gorgeous animals! Not a frivolous video at all. Your concern about the heavy parasite load of wild-caught animals and how to treat it is important, as is your care advice. Good luck on breeding new generations. And thank you for this video.

Yes piebald.
Wow, I had never seen an albino or pied sunbeam before. Beautiful!

Ahhh the not common mini pink tongues.
Definitely would love cb sunbeams. They are a dream species for me. Thanks again for the info.
You bet!
I enjoy listening to you no matter what you’re talking about
You are kind. Appreciated.
A Sunbeam snake is on my list of snakes I want to own. But my husband and I only want to have one burrowing snake in the collection at a time. Right now we have a Kenyan sand boa. So he's our burrowing baby for now.
Ah, husband is replaceable lol
@@katiekane5247 nah I'll keep him lol. We're pretty much on the same page. We're at the limit of what is still responsible
Would love to see more oddball stuff.
I am intrigued to see other snakes which little is known about. I appreciate you taking the time to teach us what you know. Don't ever be ashamed of these so called bubble gum videos. They are serving a needed purpose.
Thank you.
Your snake collection and collection of reptiles is prolly a top 3 in the USA!!! Hands down!!!
Love sunbeam snakes, love NERD and these bubblegum videos! Keep it up Kevin
Please do more videos like this one! They are great!! Greetings from Switzerland🇨🇭
Thank you! Will do! K

Sunbeam snakes are cute and so pretty! They are really cool snakes.
Interesting species of snake, thanks for sharing Kevin 👍love these videos!!
Glad you like them!
I had one, they are lovely. So sweet
Yes they are!
aww it so cute ! just like a Kenya sand boa it has an adorable face. 🤗
Interested in what the babies were like. Can't recall ever seeing one or learning about getting them started. Really interesting snakes.
Yesssss. I think I will be breeding mine soon.
It's good to see raw uncut videos from the heart. Better than polished by somebody with there own agenda.
Please show your water snakes and give some care information! Thanks! Love the videos!
❤Love these type of vids! Do more please! ❤

I want to see every snake you have
What beautiful creatures!
Thank you so much for the video as always brilliant
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the bubble gum videos!!
I love how you said to the mangrove, now what about you? She looked up as if to say umm what about me, I’m glorious!
When it reaches peak brightness, it fires a powerful beam.
they are very pretty! iv only ever seen black ones!
Everyone I’ve talked to about sunbeams made them seem difficult to keep. This makes it seem not that bad
If you follow my advice I think you may find success
Hi love you videos, your videos have taught me how to care for my animals better, whats the sunbeams diet like ?
Rodents, I realize I forget to mention that! Defrosted mice!
A lot of people are creeped out by legless lizards. Do you have any or have you had experience with them?
Yesssss. They are wonderful. The European ones are great!!
I love how sweet you are to your animals I could watch you all day😅
I love seeing the sunbeam snakes! ❤ My favorite is the normal, since the iridescence shows up so well- you did a fantastic job capturing it! I’m easily distracted, so now I’ll go back and watch it again a couple times… definitely missed info you gave the first two times I watched. 😂

@@NewEnglandReptileI've been watching for a response to my question about my Ball's funky hemipene. Iodine soak? How often?
Sunbeam snakes are super cute 🥰
What beautiful snakes. Thank you for sharing all of them with us.
I had a captive breed sunbeam for about a year. Wonderful snake, great personality. Escape artists though.
I've only seen the normal type sunbeam before, the other morphs are lovely! Nice video.
Thanks Kevin.
Very neat looking snake. Great video

The tiny eyes are adorable on these beautiful Sunbeams 😍
I adore nonsense! 😊
I’m full of it.
I can identify with the plight of the sunbeam snake.
Snakes in leaf litter. Yeah! Caught a worm snake once. Small a little fatter than a pencil. Had two eyes a little mouth. Brownish red color like a worm. Do you have any of those?

I don’t think so.

I really need to find out where he is getting these morphs. I love sunbeams which is why I got a breeding pair. But these morphs are super cool.
Im thinking we need to see the rest of your snakes 😊
I must be 1 of 10 lol love your videos Kevin and I hope you pick up the sub count 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Can you please do an Australian snake personality video for all of us down under?
What an interesting face on her 🤔 she must have small set in eyes from being under things all the time to protect the eyes? Am I correct?
