@lovelykillerx I agree completely. If my house was on fire and I could only grab a few knives this would definitely be making the list!

This is a nice piece, but it isn’t built to take any degree of punishment or pommeling.

I think the pommel on the KA-BAR style knife is not really made for using as a hammer or to hammer on, but in my opinion it’s designed to help you pull the knife out of whatever you stuck it into and to keep it in your hand. I may be wrong but I believe that either version is not meant to hammer tent stakes etc. It would work to pommel someone though without any damage.

It will probably not cause issues-but
I do not like the itty bitty screw and think, if the pommel itself fits tight over the tang, a screw from they side, through pommel and tang would be sturdier. Or they could have put 2 screws, one on each side of the tang
" tongue" extension, but at least the knife will not fall apart if the pommel goes....

@ the screw is a bit bigger than it appears on video but I hear you. There is always a better way to do something. I was thinking about how I would do it if I designed it. And my thoughts were this. Why not design it similar or exactly like the finger guard by the blade? Flare out the full tang and use half the circle on either side with the tang running slightly beyond the pommel for hammering etc.
