This is my local park run and I had the privilege of running in the 1000th event. So lovely to see all the volunteers in this video. They are there come rain or shine - so thank you to each and every one of them for cheering us on! Thank you Parkrun - simply amazing.
@ActionGoVideos brilliant video reflecting so much the atmosphere of the day, and finding myself in the video (I couldn't believe it). Thank you this memory of the day will always be with me
It was just amazing the day was fabulous and I’m so thankful it’s my home parkrun. Amazing video still waiting for results I think I saw you but you were further ahead ❤
I have run at Bushy mainly at Christmas time over the last few years, this turnout completely dwarfs that significantly. I’m fortunate to have 2 Parkruns within a reasonable distance of where I live. It’s remarkable how this has been such a success over the years. I attended with my brother and we were surprised by the numbers. The volunteers all gave their best and certainly went the extra mile, there were a few drops of rain and then it stopped. The rolling start was probably as good as you could get with the numbers of folk running. The hardest bit was to have just enough space to allow you to either pass by someone or to let others by. Everyone was well behaved and really seemed to get the spirit as it were. The children of all ages were very well behaved and none made a fuss about waiting. For me the challenge was to keep up with the runners ahead with the gold helium balloons as a focus point. The funnel was as good as you could have made it. The finish time is not important but the actual being there and a part of a magic moment is something that will be remembered by everyone there. I cannot envisage another event having this number of runners. The biggest of thank yous has to go to the fantastic folk that allowed it to happen, without them it would not have been possible. A great day, a great turnout and a great advert for Parkrun! Thank you one and all!
I was the bloke who was in the video who said he was from Tamar Trails. It’s true! Fan bloody tactic event incredible event incredible institution. I came 3556- the only complaint was I think my time was 1 second out…..😂😂😂😂
A HUGE big up to all the volunteers!! At Bushey's 1000th and every other PR every week. If you don't currently volunteer, please give it a go sometime, it's really fun and gives you a whole different view of the event. (105 runs, 55 volunteer credits)

I was there all the way from woking! Thanks for having me.
Amazing that our little parkrun, Byxbee in California, got a mention at 4:17 - thank you so much (wish I'd been there myself)!
What are the chances!
I hope to visit Bixby one day, when in California.
Planning to be at Byxbee in a couple of weeks! Excited 🤸♀️

Brilliant.
Both a nightmare and an epic experience
Wow - 6 lanes! Bet you enjoyed that Dianne and crew 😂
Excellent video, even saw myself during the 8:30am briefing clip. Well done everyone.
Normally we try to capture everybody at least once in our videos. That seemed slightly impossible this time.... Great you spotted yourself!
BRING BACK THE STATS. 😊
Thanks for making a record of this great event. Miraculously saw myself not going very fast! From Balham, & Clapham Common PR
You did well to spot yourself amongst that crowd!

Lord help anyone going to the park for some peace and quiet
LOL
Got to be the best comment!
Did they actually have 6000 tags at the finish funnel? 😂
Ran out at 4,000. Over 2,000 written down on paper, hence the delayed results!
@@ActionGoVideos haha amazing
