    ABOUT SPEAKER
Ajahn Achalo was born in Brisbane Australia in 1972, he developed a keen interest in meditation at the age of twenty, and at 21 he headed off to Thailand to study Buddhism more sincerely. Ajahn Achalo ordained at Wat Nong Pah Pong in Ubon Rachathani (the monastery founded by venerable Ajahn Chah) and subsequently trained in Thailand for more than ten years. His main teachers in Thailand have been Ajahn Anan and Ajahn Jayasaro. Ajahn Achalo feels deep gratitude for the wonderful opportunities he has had to practice as a monk in a number of different traditional contexts... in practice monasteries, in remote forests, and whilst on pilgrimage. Currently, Ajahn Achalo is the Abbot of Anandagiri Forest Monastery in Thailand.

Hahahahaha my household once had a mice, cockroach, ant and fly problem! (not all at once!!! they seem to pop by according to the seasons). I spent alot of time thinking of how to control the summer ant infestations without terminating them or killing them by damp cloth..
The answer to not needing to enjoy or tolerate their presence was rather simple. Store food very carefully so there is not a crumb to be found/smelt in the house; even keep stored food in hard containers so mice cannot bite it's way though bags. make sure to carefully flush the lid of honey containers with water to prevent ants. Push the outdoor bin far away from main doors and windows.
Then they all disappeared without needing to call a terminator to poison them or anything harmful towards life.
Great talk Ajahn Achalo! i appreciate your teachings :)

Yeah it happens to me too, and I just let them finish their meal, then I clean up all the left overs and carefully store foods. Then all the pests just disappear, no need any killings.
