- This seesaw is for our church playground. I used TWP (Total Wood Preservative) to protect the treated lumber. I also used West System epoxy to cover areas prone to rot and all screws and edges, so the kids don't get hurt.

Another comment I want to make is a lot of people express how fast they can make projects, but for me I like to drag them out and enjoy the fun along the way. Half the fun is making them, so why rush it? Am I right? Don't you just absolutely love working with wood and creating new fun projects and bringing exciting new ideas to creation?
It usually takes me a while to complete a project because I either only work for an hour or two in the evening, or I work only when it is cool enough to work...avoiding the hot part of the summer days. Also, if I get in a hurry, that's when I usually screw something up. lol
I really need that tool that you use for countersinking those headlock screws there. I love how easily the countersink feature built right into the drill is, I want that in the worst way imaginable. Lol.
I guess I'll just have to use my forstner bit for now.

Really really really beautiful job but why are there only three comments I can see you put a lot of work into this. My comment would be boy this must be really heavy with all that pressure treated wood because I'm right in the middle of making one very similar but it's 12 feet long and I chose pressure-treated wood to make the base out of. But I want to say really really beautiful workmanship I love it
The pressure treated wood offered at Lowe's is usually pretty wet, for some reason, so yes - it was very heavy when I was done. Thanks for your kind words.
Hey, excuse me sir, I just noticed you cut a lot of pressure-treated wood with your skill saw and you weren't wearing a mask. I thought it was bad to inhale that stuff? Am I wrong? Pressure treated wood is supposed to be treated with all kinds of harmful toxic chemicals and now they're in the air and your breathing them into your lungs. I'm sorry I don't mean to be sounding rude. I was thinking of it from a health standpoint that's all. And I don't judge anybody trust me I really don't. You work anyway you feel comfortable that's fine by me.
Yep, you're right. I'm not diligent with wearing masks and safety stuff. Don't follow my example. : )
