  • I meant to post this last week but got mixed up. I will take you around the downtown area and point out several different hotels, restaurants, theaters and little parks. We also walk through the morning Farmers Market.
    Downtown has lots of tall commercial buildings mixed in with older historic places.
    I hope you enjoy this walking tour of Knoxville, TN. Keep on Steppin' -H

    My Story: I'm a filmmaker by trade. In 2016, we sold our house to go traveling for the year in Europe. Since I couldn't work there, I decided to start another UA-cam Channel. I love walking as a way to explore and this was an easy thing to share. It got popular and I've continued. My goal is to share these treadmill travel and virtual tours of cities videos to help make your work out fun with virtual walks to make the cardio go more quickly.

    Knoxville is more than I expected. I love the mixture of the beautiful old historic buildings and new high-rises. And I also love the narrow tree lined streets which gives it that sense of enclosure and intimacy, and makes it very easy to walk around. Thanks for the tour.

      Very well said. It definitely benefits from the trees downtown. And, the little pocket parks. Thanks so much for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it. - H.

      Hi Scott, yes, it was quite clean. It got a little less attended to the further you got from the center. All in all, a very nice city. In my limited experience.

      48 US States have counties. Louisiana has parishes. Alaska has neither - there's nothing between city government and state government.
      I enjoyed this walk.

    It's not being exploitative to show homeless people. It's called honesty. You can always blur their faces.

    • @CityWalks
      @CityWalks  5 місяців тому

      @@barneyfyfe8313 Hi Barney, Thanks for the reply. The channel's not really focuse on architecture although I mention it a lot, and I don't mind mentioning or showing homeless people as casual passersby. You are right. It is an honest and open subject to discuss. I was just trying to clarify that I don't want to without their consent. Certainly, they are just as much a part of a city as the shoppers and other people that work and live there. I wouldn't focus on those folks as individuals either. Thanks for the feedback and thoughtful points. Always good for me to hear what people are thinking and things I could do differently or think more deeply about. Cheers. -H
