Except this time they don't even offer anything new or unique. I could for example trade entire tech tree branch + a some resources for a unique low tier fun tank like Pz 5/4, but this... it is just a scam. They just want to suck out resources without adding anything valuable.

Yep. It's happened to me in the past when I I've spent resources and then something in the shop or an event etc appears the next day or week and I'm like wtf. I just spent this when I could have gotten this for a way better spend of resources

They nerfed it 3 times. First it was 17 keys, then down 15keys and now 12 keys. What an idiot move from them. Im not sure what they are trying to achieve here.

what i observed was that in the test server it was 117 bonds for 1% in the official its now 200+ and its now a scam due to the high pricing fee from 9.9k to whoping 14k. WHAT A SIDE HUSTLE WG
It's a bad joke. I have waited with excitement to get rid of m454 and get the stb1 but this price is Insane. If you are a good player with loads of bonds, tanks, and stuff you probably don't even need this. But for someone like me with 4000 Battles who researched the wrong tank. This is super necessary, but now I can't even take part in trade in. It's like WG forgot about the fact that we have already researched an ENTIRE TECH TREE that we would lose in the trade? I'm not supporting this greedy play!

I want to trade Leo with Centurion bcs I'm not a good player with Leo, but I can make STB-1 works bcs I like some tank that have turret armor so I'm really happy that I can trade (yes I know this info from couple of months ago) but when I saw this, I guess I won't play WoT in near future, at least until I know reward for Well Deserve ones.
As a F2P for more than 10 years I've this advice : find fun tanks you like to play, save free exp and try to get as much blue fragments as you can by daily missions or event. When you got your ressources you have the choice to grind a line you want with the possibity to skip tanks. Blue prints will decrease the exp needed for tanks and free exp is useful when you have to unlock modules to avoid playing horrible stock vehicles. I know it could be depressing but being patient is the best way to grind
thats how i am atm im only missing a couple of 10s because i haven't researched the tier 9 guns, even though the 10s are 100% blueprinted. this offer is pointless for someone like me, ill just wait tell christmas and finish every line and use the extra gold on assembly tanks for 2025
The blueprint system is basically pointless now, they just give you a bunch of nation blueprints that you’ll never be able to use because they reduced the amount of universal blueprints you can get. I’m out of universal blueprints but I have 50-150 national blueprints for each nation…
it sounded good on paper, but then in practice, 16800 gold converted to exp on the normal rate 1=25 = 420,000 free EXP which can get you pretty far, but the special rates during events like 1=40 672,000 which is basically an entire techtree, you can keep your old techtree and have the new one for the same price.
And thats if you take for example swedish line with no blueprints unlocked. If you do this for soviets, with blueprints, you can easily go with 200k free xp or less
My friend was so excited for this when he first heard about it. He is new to the game and just got his first tier 10 tank. However, he really didn’t know what he was doing and he ended up grinding up a bad line and got one of the worst tier 10 tanks. He was excited for this because he thought he could exchange it for another one and fix his mistake. Now he isn’t even going to continue playing because he doesn’t want to waste the time grinding a new line.
I mean I get making a mistake sucks and there is no doubt that what WG is doing with this is dumb and greedy but if he doesn't want to continue playing because of this then he was likely going to quit regardless. Almost the entirety of the game is the grind. So not wanting to grind another tree is basically just not wanting to play the game.
I am proud of myself a little, even before I watched this, my red flags went up when I saw the event video in the garage. Seems like I am learning something from QB after all this time :D
As a 10 years F2P player I'm happy to see that this event is useless for me. Yes WG, with your blue prints system I've now researched every tank on every tech tree line apart the Czech lights so I don't need to trade anything. To other players : don't fall into the trap, play tanks you like, save free exp to skip or unlock modules to not play stock anymore and use as much blue prints as you can. Bonds worth way more than gold and the price for this exchange is crazy high
Hahaha that's just ridiculous, for that price there's no tech tree that is valuable to do this. And the one that are interesting we certainly already have them. I'm really curious who would do that... We'll never know... But why any player would do that... One for free would have been a nice gift, why not... But here it's just ridiculous. And if it was one free I would exchange one of the best branch for the worse one, just that I can replay the good one and get rid of the bad one without playing it.
i think personally it is a very bad deal. They might take into account that u can skip (trade) an entire line without gameplay time which might be very good for some good lines in exchange of some "bad" lines. but then they didnt take into account or gameplay time for said "bad lines" as someone who retired playing WOT i came back to see that if i were to switch any of my tier 10 lines to a line ive been wanting the most (K-91 medium line) i would need 15,700 gold without any other resources. i immediately closed the game after
WG will bring this back in a better form soon. But would you really trade a good Heavy line for a very hard/ not great Light line? At most I would trade just the Tier 10's (ST-II for EBR 105) and grind the Tier 6 to learn the gameplay. You could then even regrind the ST-II with the incredible IS-3-II.
If take in to account how slowly you can get bonds, these kinda trade-offs are just ridicilous... No one should fell for this. This could be called as scam without any hesitation... jeebus...
If it was free, I probably would have reinstalled. A chance to finally get the Maus without having to grind all the way up could have been really cool. But not for this price.
Never take the "good exchange offer" from WG. It is always about milking you. I havn't been playing for a while and have couple of trees unresearched. However, if I play randoms for a while, most of these tanks will get automatically research by blueprints, only the modules will require exp/free exp.
so they target free to play players which dont spend so much time to this game but price it like buying 2 premium tanks or they advice to spend bond like credits... They marketing goupe failed hard
that amount of gold feels like a scam for someone, like me, that only buys 20/40 euros of xmas boxes to last 1/2 years. And for those wondering, no, I do not have 10s of thousands of bonds to throw for skipping 1/2 weeks of grinding a new line.

Price of the trade in is actually disgusting... They literally have no clue about the economy inside their own game, it's like they thought everyone sits at millions of bonds, I really hope people won't fall into this scam and WG realise their mistake, wtf...
So this is done because... Probably a lot of players stick to their old researched tanks and dont bother grinding up the new trees... Due to often lack of exciting new tanks. The fact is. The best "best tank" in every possible metric, is already in the game. To prevent too much power creep. So anything new added to the game is per definition going to be kinda mediocre, middle-of-the-tree, and a bit boring to some that prefer their trusty old standard tanks.
Okay, so the price point is absolutely ridiculous, but the idea isn't that bad. For example, if had a tree you grinded where you enjoyed most of the tanks, you could buy out a new tech tree for zero grind, and then re-enjoy unlocking tanks you liked playing. In my case I could un-research the swedish TD's get a tech tree like the Japanese sniper heavies, and then go back and enjoy grinding the Swedes. 8.5/10, would try it (if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive).
This is so damn SHAMELESS. This is absolutely scummy from WG. I decided to see how much it would cost me to get a Rinoceronte by getting rid of my Obj 268 and I have to pay 50 national blueprints, 10 universal blueprints, 9500 free exp, 4000 bonds and 1269 gold coins. THIS IS GARBAGE WG

I wouldn't mind trading out my E100 tech tree for one of those artillery tech trees, that way I can experience grinding out one of my favourite lines again, and avoid grinding through the nightmare that is an arty line.

The players able to trade branches with just ingame recources have no need for it anyway, since they already have so many tech trees researched.... Its is basically a "pay XX.000 gold to trade", which is just a huge nono...

it took me like, 3 years to grind to the Type 5 heavy (mostly cause of on and off play), born in Gen Z, i hate my own generation and i absolutely hate gen alpha, i dont understand the i want it now generation at all..

I would have come back to the game if this is actually good but it's not. They made it too expensive to a point where no one is going to do it, and no old players like myself are coming back to spend money either, so their greed creates a lose lose situation for them. Typical WG
Well, in principle, everything you said is correct. The good thing is that you made a video where wargaming eats to extract as many resources as possible from the players. It's not a problem for Milim that they want to do it but they don't have to use the players that much. Those who want to wear tanks in a faster way should pay. What annoys me is that we older players, like you and others, spent time and nerves during the persistence of tank lines, and we only got drafts when they changed the whole system. Why didn't we get some benefits like a premium tank or similar? Because today's concept of wargaming is to explore lines as soon as possible.
They could've done it in 2 ways: - Free trade in - Double Down, where it would copy all progress from one tree into another instead of a complete trade in, which would probably justify the costs
Someone might have already mentioned it but their total cost to exchange the lines were changing with each resource they added. It went up from like 2000-3000 gold up to over 5000 gold before adding the bonds. The crossed out number is the total cost and not the discount.
I got the VZ 55 using only free XP and blue prints. Did not buy a single tier I-IX tank to get it. Then WG nerfed the crap out of the 2 shell magazine gun literally within days of me acquiring it.
WoT Account created: 10/05/2011. After being away from WoT for at least five years now, I downloaded the client to see some of the changes three days ago. I was very unimpressed with the continual nerfing of existing vehicles while introducing newer over-powered lines and premiums. But the one thing that I believe WoT thinks is minor that got me to just give up on the game was the limiting of crew members' number of skills. Now I'm not sure I had any crew to that limit, but directly screwing over your dedicated or returning player base to keep the game "more fair" is exactly why hundred of thousands of Eve Online players gave up on Eve Online. Moreover, with the continued ultra-focus on making Russian tanks the strongest in the game, there is no doubt in my mind that the game is still under Russian - not Ukrainian - control. I refuse to give my money to Russians. I miss WoT, and still really enjoy QB videos learning how to use the maps, etc. - I wish there was as talented of a youtube teacher for War Thunder maps and other games. But even though there isn't, I won't be returning to WoT. I deleted that three-day-old client last evening, and I'm done with it. All the offers of timed crew/tank switching when I logged in three days ago can go to heck. Keep it, War Gaming.

because wargaming is working on project cold war ( modern tanks ) and is using wot as their cash cow to fund its development, both the company and players know that. so tanks is now on life support until it shuts down for the newer title

Fixing the totally and absolutely broken match making system would probably do far more to bring players back to the game. It's the one complaint I see, over and over. Less than five minute blow-outs seem to be the majority of the games these days, and that's not even fun when you are on the winning team, which seems to be extremely rare for most people.
I didn't hear WG mention anything about tanks modules being unlocked as part of the trade-in so if those are still all locked and need to be unlocked, that's a complete deal breaker imho since having to unlock every turret/tracks/engines/guns/radios is an extremely large amount of grinding with XP, or a huge additional waste of freexp. That would be an absolutely toxic discovery after already investing in a pretty bad deal anyway.
9:00 This change smells of a greedy manager somewhere. When I saw the video I was excited, figured I might trade my Type 5 Heavy (which I got before all the HE nerfs) in and get the medium line using free experience, just like you pay for premium tank trade-ins in their normal currency, but they made it gold and limited other resources to 10% of the contribution. So thanks Wargaming for reminding me of why I quit the game several years ago, for a second there I was thinking of playing it.

I think the gold price is for the 5 tanks in the tech tree. If you trade in a tech tree with 4 tanks in the garage and 1 for research, the amount I get is 4000 Gold only.

At the beggining of the video I was genuenly excited that I could trade a tech tree I grinded but never used or liked (in my case it's the E50M, I don't like its bad dpm and high profile) for free, and come back to the game after a year or two... But no, in typical WG fashion they instead went for the money and wasted a great idea... At the end of the day it's their loss, the playerbase keeps getting smaller
Excellent video and explanation; I was caught in the “trap” of wanting to give up my Patton line for a TVP T50/51. As I watched your video and the cost associated; I looked at my Škoda line and realized I already own the Škoda T-50. After your video, I’ll just grind it to the Tier X.
i was actually excited about this when i first heard it, because i always wanted the leopard, but didnt want to torture myself grinding up to T9 imagine my shock when i tried to trade my badger line for it and even with 10.000 bonds and the other resources maxed out it still asked me for around 3000-4000 gold this is a complete fleece and has seriously soured my opinion of WG (moreso than it already was), its clearly NOT meant for new or f2p players, since it it unlikely for them to have this many resources to throw around in the first place what a scam
1st: Only and only 1 exchange of tech trees. 2nd: a: Money AKA Profit for WG is 1st: 2b: Gold is very oftenly for free, if not, pay for gold 2c: Bonds: need to get it from players so they are I) trying again to gain bonds (addiction grinding everything) II) 3rd: Ok, anybody of us is disgusted with one tech tree branch, so this is option to forget it and take another one - which is only positive on this offer.
It wouldn't be nearly as bad if it was 10% for universal blueprints 10% for national blueprints 10% for bonds and then the remainder in free exp. The problem with this is just how incredibly greedy WG is.
WG really missed their customer base since its so expensive only player who played a LOT will get enough gold and bonds for it, only problem is that they already HAVE all the tanks, so it really help no one overall

It's funny, too. I made a post about this a few places telling people to legitimately *report* WG for this because it is genuinely an international scam and illegal in MANY places to do this the way they did, especially with the constant changing of the price while hyping it up. Now they want me to pay $60 to trade a tree I finished for another and it still costs like $40 just to do ONE tank? Yeah, people need to stop licking corporate boots and actually be willing to hold them responsible. A large portion of the playerbase playing devil's advocate is gonna, as fucking usual, lead to them just making the problem worse next time or just never offering a similar event again.
*sigh*…I was actually excited to trade in a tech tree that I just don’t play much. The E100 line. I know that’s going to ruffle some feathers but I just don’t play my Tigers or E75 or E100. I don’t think I’ve played them in 3 years. I want the K91 line. Or the TVP line. Mediums are my bread and butter. I THOUGHT I was going to be able to trade in the line one time for free. Nice greed WG, very nice. Very on brand.
For me, the base gold price started at about 10,000, and with about 16,000 free xp, all the blueprints, and 2,000 bonds brought it down to about 7,000 gold. Looking back, it was probably a rip-off, but it was nice to get rid of my Conqueror GC for a 268 (I already have the 268/4).
The big issue I have as a long term player with a lot of premiums is that trying to grind a stock tank in any of these tech tree lines is absolute rage inducing torture. I can’t imagine being a new player to this game getting stuck into a tier 6 piece of crap tank and playing great players in their tier 8 Borrs game after game. WG needs to find a work around for that soul destroying experience or NA will fade away.
Most important currency is Free EXP. You can skip modules and bad tanks in tech tree. Bonds just are there. And that price is for the whole package. For me it's about 5000 gold without using blueprints etc. It depends how many tanks you have, how much exp you need for new line and other factors I think. So, yes it might be expensive in some cases but in others it may save you grind of boring and/or bad tanks in tech tree.I'm thinking about trading Kranvagn for 60TP or T110E5. For less than 5k gold I think it's worth considering
i say, just save fragments, gold, Free Exp for 2025 assembly.. REMEMBER that on holliday ops you get to put discounts on all tiers when you get the missions done... From tier 2 --10... don't throw away your frag, freexp & Gold💰 Holiday ops, which has traditionally launched in the first week of December, offers declining credit discounts on tech tree vehicles as the tiers increase. You do need to play and progress the "atmosphere level" to gain access to these, and you can pick one tank from every tier for a discount. Great video info, but this trade in blows big time..
When I saw the name of the video, I wanted to go back in for a few days. Then decided otherwise once I saw they are actually SELLING tech tree tanks, on top of removing your own.

what i observed was that in the test server it was 117 bonds for 1% in the official its now 200+ and its now a scam due to the high pricing fee from 9.9k to whoping 14k. WHAT A SIDE HUSTLE WG
It's a bad joke. I have waited with excitement to get rid of m454 and get the stb1 but this price is Insane.
If you are a good player with loads of bonds, tanks, and stuff you probably don't even need this. But for someone like me with 4000 Battles who researched the wrong tank. This is super necessary, but now I can't even take part in trade in. It's like WG forgot about the fact that we have already researched an ENTIRE TECH TREE that we would lose in the trade?

I want to trade Leo with Centurion bcs I'm not a good player with Leo, but I can make STB-1 works bcs I like some tank that have turret armor so I'm really happy that I can trade (yes I know this info from couple of months ago) but when I saw this, I guess I won't play WoT in near future, at least until I know reward for Well Deserve ones.
As a F2P for more than 10 years I've this advice : find fun tanks you like to play, save free exp and try to get as much blue fragments as you can by daily missions or event. When you got your ressources you have the choice to grind a line you want with the possibity to skip tanks. Blue prints will decrease the exp needed for tanks and free exp is useful when you have to unlock modules to avoid playing horrible stock vehicles. I know it could be depressing but being patient is the best way to grind
thats how i am atm im only missing a couple of 10s because i haven't researched the tier 9 guns, even though the 10s are 100% blueprinted. this offer is pointless for someone like me, ill just wait tell christmas and finish every line and use the extra gold on assembly tanks for 2025

The blueprint system is basically pointless now, they just give you a bunch of nation blueprints that you’ll never be able to use because they reduced the amount of universal blueprints you can get. I’m out of universal blueprints but I have 50-150 national blueprints for each nation…

it sounded good on paper, but then in practice, 16800 gold converted to exp on the normal rate 1=25 = 420,000 free EXP which can get you pretty far, but the special rates during events like 1=40
672,000 which is basically an entire techtree, you can keep your old techtree and have the new one for the same price.
And thats if you take for example swedish line with no blueprints unlocked.
If you do this for soviets, with blueprints, you can easily go with 200k free xp or less

My friend was so excited for this when he first heard about it. He is new to the game and just got his first tier 10 tank. However, he really didn’t know what he was doing and he ended up grinding up a bad line and got one of the worst tier 10 tanks. He was excited for this because he thought he could exchange it for another one and fix his mistake. Now he isn’t even going to continue playing because he doesn’t want to waste the time grinding a new line.
I mean I get making a mistake sucks and there is no doubt that what WG is doing with this is dumb and greedy but if he doesn't want to continue playing because of this then he was likely going to quit regardless. Almost the entirety of the game is the grind. So not wanting to grind another tree is basically just not wanting to play the game.
I am proud of myself a little, even before I watched this, my red flags went up when I saw the event video in the garage. Seems like I am learning something from QB after all this time :D
They should allow more than 1 trade in but make the first one free. Massive missed opportunity to bring people back or get people like me to play more

As a 10 years F2P player I'm happy to see that this event is useless for me. Yes WG, with your blue prints system I've now researched every tank on every tech tree line apart the Czech lights so I don't need to trade anything. To other players : don't fall into the trap, play tanks you like, save free exp to skip or unlock modules to not play stock anymore and use as much blue prints as you can. Bonds worth way more than gold and the price for this exchange is crazy high

i think personally it is a very bad deal. They might take into account that u can skip (trade) an entire line without gameplay time which might be very good for some good lines in exchange of some "bad" lines. but then they didnt take into account or gameplay time for said "bad lines" as someone who retired playing WOT i came back to see that if i were to switch any of my tier 10 lines to a line ive been wanting the most (K-91 medium line) i would need 15,700 gold without any other resources. i immediately closed the game after

At most I would trade just the Tier 10's (ST-II for EBR 105) and grind the Tier 6 to learn the gameplay. You could then even regrind the ST-II with the incredible IS-3-II.

If it was free, I probably would have reinstalled. A chance to finally get the Maus without having to grind all the way up could have been really cool. But not for this price.
Never take the "good exchange offer" from WG. It is always about milking you. I havn't been playing for a while and have couple of trees unresearched. However, if I play randoms for a while, most of these tanks will get automatically research by blueprints, only the modules will require exp/free exp.
so they target free to play players which dont spend so much time to this game but price it like buying 2 premium tanks or they advice to spend bond like credits...

Price of the trade in is actually disgusting... They literally have no clue about the economy inside their own game, it's like they thought everyone sits at millions of bonds, I really hope people won't fall into this scam and WG realise their mistake, wtf...
So this is done because... Probably a lot of players stick to their old researched tanks and dont bother grinding up the new trees... Due to often lack of exciting new tanks. The fact is. The best "best tank" in every possible metric, is already in the game. To prevent too much power creep. So anything new added to the game is per definition going to be kinda mediocre, middle-of-the-tree, and a bit boring to some that prefer their trusty old standard tanks.
Okay, so the price point is absolutely ridiculous, but the idea isn't that bad. For example, if had a tree you grinded where you enjoyed most of the tanks, you could buy out a new tech tree for zero grind, and then re-enjoy unlocking tanks you liked playing. In my case I could un-research the swedish TD's get a tech tree like the Japanese sniper heavies, and then go back and enjoy grinding the Swedes. 8.5/10, would try it (if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive).
This is so damn SHAMELESS. This is absolutely scummy from WG. I decided to see how much it would cost me to get a Rinoceronte by getting rid of my Obj 268 and I have to pay 50 national blueprints, 10 universal blueprints, 9500 free exp, 4000 bonds and 1269 gold coins. THIS IS GARBAGE WG

This is the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.
I wouldn't mind trading out my E100 tech tree for one of those artillery tech trees, that way I can experience grinding out one of my favourite lines again, and avoid grinding through the nightmare that is an arty line.
They are also doing a gold to free xp conversion rate of 1 gold for 50xp at the moment, which nullifies this offer even more.

it took me like, 3 years to grind to the Type 5 heavy (mostly cause of on and off play), born in Gen Z, i hate my own generation and i absolutely hate gen alpha, i dont understand the i want it now generation at all..

Well, in principle, everything you said is correct. The good thing is that you made a video where wargaming eats to extract as many resources as possible from the players. It's not a problem for Milim that they want to do it but they don't have to use the players that much. Those who want to wear tanks in a faster way should pay. What annoys me is that we older players, like you and others, spent time and nerves during the persistence of tank lines, and we only got drafts when they changed the whole system. Why didn't we get some benefits like a premium tank or similar? Because today's concept of wargaming is to explore lines as soon as possible.

They could've done it in 2 ways:
- Free trade in
- Double Down, where it would copy all progress from one tree into another instead of a complete trade in, which would probably justify the costs
Someone might have already mentioned it but their total cost to exchange the lines were changing with each resource they added. It went up from like 2000-3000 gold up to over 5000 gold before adding the bonds. The crossed out number is the total cost and not the discount.

I got the VZ 55 using only free XP and blue prints. Did not buy a single tier I-IX tank to get it. Then WG nerfed the crap out of the 2 shell magazine gun literally within days of me acquiring it.
WoT Account created: 10/05/2011. After being away from WoT for at least five years now, I downloaded the client to see some of the changes three days ago. I was very unimpressed with the continual nerfing of existing vehicles while introducing newer over-powered lines and premiums. But the one thing that I believe WoT thinks is minor that got me to just give up on the game was the limiting of crew members' number of skills. Now I'm not sure I had any crew to that limit, but directly screwing over your dedicated or returning player base to keep the game "more fair" is exactly why hundred of thousands of Eve Online players gave up on Eve Online.
Moreover, with the continued ultra-focus on making Russian tanks the strongest in the game, there is no doubt in my mind that the game is still under Russian - not Ukrainian - control. I refuse to give my money to Russians.
I miss WoT, and still really enjoy QB videos learning how to use the maps, etc. - I wish there was as talented of a youtube teacher for War Thunder maps and other games. But even though there isn't, I won't be returning to WoT. I deleted that three-day-old client last evening, and I'm done with it. All the offers of timed crew/tank switching when I logged in three days ago can go to heck. Keep it, War Gaming.

because wargaming is working on project cold war ( modern tanks ) and is using wot as their cash cow to fund its development, both the company and players know that. so tanks is now on life support until it shuts down for the newer title

Fixing the totally and absolutely broken match making system would probably do far more to bring players back to the game. It's the one complaint I see, over and over. Less than five minute blow-outs seem to be the majority of the games these days, and that's not even fun when you are on the winning team, which seems to be extremely rare for most people.
I didn't hear WG mention anything about tanks modules being unlocked as part of the trade-in so if those are still all locked and need to be unlocked, that's a complete deal breaker imho since having to unlock every turret/tracks/engines/guns/radios is an extremely large amount of grinding with XP, or a huge additional waste of freexp. That would be an absolutely toxic discovery after already investing in a pretty bad deal anyway.

When I saw the video I was excited, figured I might trade my Type 5 Heavy (which I got before all the HE nerfs) in and get the medium line using free experience, just like you pay for premium tank trade-ins in their normal currency, but they made it gold and limited other resources to 10% of the contribution. So thanks Wargaming for reminding me of why I quit the game several years ago, for a second there I was thinking of playing it.
With the massive amount of bonds needed, we are forced to use gold which makes us spend money. Yeah, totally SCAM!

I think the gold price is for the 5 tanks in the tech tree. If you trade in a tech tree with 4 tanks in the garage and 1 for research, the amount I get is 4000 Gold only.
I might have done this if the price was reasonable but 18k gold is a joke with minimal discount

At the beggining of the video I was genuenly excited that I could trade a tech tree I grinded but never used or liked (in my case it's the E50M, I don't like its bad dpm and high profile) for free, and come back to the game after a year or two... But no, in typical WG fashion they instead went for the money and wasted a great idea... At the end of the day it's their loss, the playerbase keeps getting smaller
Excellent video and explanation; I was caught in the “trap” of wanting to give up my Patton line for a TVP T50/51. As I watched your video and the cost associated; I looked at my Škoda line and realized I already own the Škoda T-50. After your video, I’ll just grind it to the Tier X.
i was actually excited about this when i first heard it, because i always wanted the leopard, but didnt want to torture myself grinding up to T9
imagine my shock when i tried to trade my badger line for it and even with 10.000 bonds and the other resources maxed out it still asked me for around 3000-4000 gold
this is a complete fleece and has seriously soured my opinion of WG (moreso than it already was), its clearly NOT meant for new or f2p players, since it it unlikely for them to have this many resources to throw around in the first place

1st: Only and only 1 exchange of tech trees.
2nd: a: Money AKA Profit for WG is 1st:
2b: Gold is very oftenly for free, if not, pay for gold
2c: Bonds: need to get it from players so they are I) trying again to gain bonds (addiction grinding everything) II)
3rd: Ok, anybody of us is disgusted with one tech tree branch, so this is option to forget it and take another one - which is only positive on this offer.
It wouldn't be nearly as bad if it was 10% for universal blueprints 10% for national blueprints 10% for bonds and then the remainder in free exp. The problem with this is just how incredibly greedy WG is.

I keep repeating it constantly. WG goes with typical template:
1. Release event with gold and freebies - lootboxes etc.
2. Release currency sink event
3. Repeat
4. Profit 😂
Don't you worry, WG will later put it back at a lower price so that players get the feeling of getting a good deal out of something which should have been free in the first place.

I made a post about this a few places telling people to legitimately *report* WG for this because it is genuinely an international scam and illegal in MANY places to do this the way they did, especially with the constant changing of the price while hyping it up. Now they want me to pay $60 to trade a tree I finished for another and it still costs like $40 just to do ONE tank?
Yeah, people need to stop licking corporate boots and actually be willing to hold them responsible. A large portion of the playerbase playing devil's advocate is gonna, as fucking usual, lead to them just making the problem worse next time or just never offering a similar event again.
*sigh*…I was actually excited to trade in a tech tree that I just don’t play much. The E100 line. I know that’s going to ruffle some feathers but I just don’t play my Tigers or E75 or E100. I don’t think I’ve played them in 3 years. I want the K91 line. Or the TVP line. Mediums are my bread and butter. I THOUGHT I was going to be able to trade in the line one time for free. Nice greed WG, very nice. Very on brand.
For me, the base gold price started at about 10,000, and with about 16,000 free xp, all the blueprints, and 2,000 bonds brought it down to about 7,000 gold. Looking back, it was probably a rip-off, but it was nice to get rid of my Conqueror GC for a 268 (I already have the 268/4).
Totaly agree on Point: taking away currencies from player base is the only one real thing for every player nevermind of comparing with other players.
The big issue I have as a long term player with a lot of premiums is that trying to grind a stock tank in any of these tech tree lines is absolute rage inducing torture. I can’t imagine being a new player to this game getting stuck into a tier 6 piece of crap tank and playing great players in their tier 8 Borrs game after game. WG needs to find a work around for that soul destroying experience or NA will fade away.
Most important currency is Free EXP. You can skip modules and bad tanks in tech tree. Bonds just are there.
And that price is for the whole package. For me it's about 5000 gold without using blueprints etc.
It depends how many tanks you have, how much exp you need for new line and other factors I think.
So, yes it might be expensive in some cases but in others it may save you grind of boring and/or bad tanks in tech tree.I'm thinking about trading Kranvagn for 60TP or T110E5. For less than 5k gold I think it's worth considering

i say, just save fragments, gold, Free Exp for 2025 assembly.. REMEMBER that on holliday ops you get to put discounts on all tiers when you get the missions done... From tier 2 --10... don't throw away your frag, freexp & Gold💰 Holiday ops, which has traditionally launched in the first week of December, offers declining credit discounts on tech tree vehicles as the tiers increase. You do need to play and progress the "atmosphere level" to gain access to these, and you can pick one tank from every tier for a discount. Great video info, but this trade in blows big time..
When I saw the name of the video, I wanted to go back in for a few days. Then decided otherwise once I saw they are actually SELLING tech tree tanks, on top of removing your own.
