Hella Horn Install on Subaru WRX (Without Removing Bumper)

- Installing the Hella Horns on a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX using the GrimmSpeed BroTie and GrimmSpeed wiring harness.
We followed the instructions for the wiring harness from GrimmSpeed’s website - linked below. Install time was roughly 20 minutes and did not require removal of the bumper, just two trim pieces.

Why?
do you need to install the voltage relay if you're using the grim speed harness?
No the Grimmspeed wire-harness means that you do not have make your own Hella Horn harness. It's a OEM plug and play. They do say that without using the relay you loose a few dBs from the horns but the extra work required was not worth the effort. If you want to add the extra dBs in you can add the relay but it's not required. The Grimmspeed harness comes with instructions to help with the installing process.
Over a year late too the vid so I’m not really expecting a reply but… with the second horn, the one lower on the right in the vid. Do you just leave that as is and replace the middle one with the bracket and Hellas? I got my grill of yesterday about to install them in my bugeye and saw the second horn and had a little brain fart cause I’d never seen it addressed in a video. I should only be removing the center horn and running the positive wire of the harness to the oem plug and the ground to where the harness bolts on, right?
Yes correct. The right horn is still attached. The hella horns are running of the centre horn connection via the Grimmspeed wire harness.

Are you still able to remove the second stock horn with the bumper on?
Yea you can! You will need an extension bar to attach the socket onto. Its a tight fit but can be done. I decided to keep the other stock horn attached as im not too keen on having loose wires floating around.

You cant really see the stock horn as it is behind the bumper. I recommend the grimmspeed wire harness. It makes the install super easy!
@@OmniGarage do you disconnect the second stick horn? Confused if I just leave it as is or take the second horn off.

Yes. The Grimmspeed bracket will work. You just need to get the correct Grimmspeed wire harness for your year.
