I am not surprised prices continue to go up. It is the people that did not want Trump to be in office in 2020. Bottom line we all are paying the price because the people voted for Joey to be president.
Unfortunately nothing is race in the state's, so we have to deal with the terrible situation that we are going as a country.
Did not, PLEASE LET BE REALISTIC, THE ELECTIONS WERE A FRAUD.
If you think Joey won fair and square, you have issues.
@@itruck2009 do you mean Joe Biden???
@@raquelsuarez368 Sure
I like beef and refried beans on my burritos, not rice burritos.
For those reasons, I'm out
Then if you try to outsmart them by getting the bowl version they give you those tiny oval shaped bowls 😂
@@df6148people can outsmart them by making their own burritos. You can feed a large family burritos for what it costs to pick up Chipotle for one person - or maybe even less!
Stopped eating there 3 years ago. The employees there slop around the food. The serving counters food all over and in each other containers. Small portions, chicken overcooked and dry scraps, high prices. Employee turnover..they couldn't care less.
I read comments on internet. Most cannot spell or use English well. ALMOST all comments do not make sense and contradict what they are saying.
Chipotle charge you $16 for a burrito 😂🤣
Is that really what they charge now? Yikes.
I paid over $30 for me and my wife to eat bowls the other day. I’m done with them.
Wow! Haven't gotten a bowl in there for about 3 years or so. That's insane prices!
@@Deva-no3dnwhat state is that in?
More like a veggie burrito
Dirty stores tasteless food and unfriendly people. No thanks
i like real mexican cuisine that is made by heart
Most disgustingly dirty “restaurant” i ever stepped foot in.
If he's so concerned, he could always cut his own pay
I thought Chipotle was overpriced 20 years ago, one visit was enough for me.
Spot on
you will probably have a heart attack if you see their menu prices now 💀
I didn’t know that rice and beans cost so much 😂
Chipotle has terrible quality control and the their employees could care less.
That's good that they COULD care less because that means they do care SOME. If they COULDN'T care less that would be worse
@RussJAlan I agree with this. Hearing people get it wrong is like nails on a chalkboard.
any fast food worker could care less about there job and the food there making.
Exactly.
And their customer service contact center sucks. They really don’t care.
Cook at home. It's cheaper and healthier.
The nerve of Chipotle increasing their prices as high as it already was😑 they better be giving bigger portions of food for that higher price😑
😂 good luck on those bigger portions. Eating there with my kids in Yonkers, NY cost somewhere between 45 and 60
They’ll be the next one to fall. Labor costs will be a problem.
I doubt it. The Chipotle in my city is always packed. The lower-income areas will definitely feel it.
@@itruck2009 Don’t get me wrong, I love their products. But they’re not alone in being priced out of their target audience. At the end of the day, they have to make a profit, and their product and services are both skyrocketing.
I think they’ll turn it around …if they get rid of entitled employees and go to robots. I see the stock options for employees blowing up in their faces . There just doing that to keep employees and kick the $$ can down the road . Make them think they own part of the Co. That’s what Color tile did in 1997 . .. and then filed for bankruptcy and the stock went to zero. All the employees ever got was their weekly pay and the stock they needed for retirement vanished .
Harlingen Texas Chipotle was so dirty and no napkins or forks am never going back.
I stop going . Prices way to high, go to get better food for the money. Also the service really has a lot to be desired.
How do they know who is low income consumers ???
Mr. CEO is full of Chipotle his comment turned me off ☹ I will Never eat there
Whenever you see a Chipotle, you'll find a Mom and Pop burrito shop a couple blocks away that will make you an excellent burrito for same or lower price. 🌯
It was a good food. But no longer, they rise prices. Serve less and food stop been that good.
It has a funny after taste that it did not have a few years ago.
Are they smaller portions of protein now, or smaller of everything? Just curious.
@@gayle9428 it's not good any more.
If you have a kitchen you have the answer to high prices.
How the hell are people spending like this😮😮.. For a burrito
Who still eats at chipotle ? People have short memories. I remember hearing that multiple people died eating tainted food there allegedly ?
Just last week my wife and I stopped by a Chipotle for lunch for the first time since covid, and we were totally taken aback by the prices. For the same amount of money we could get some real Mexican food that is delicious and prepared by a real chef and not by assembly line workers. Chipotle is now charging restaurant prices for fast food. We’ll definitely not be going back.
How ignorant and greedy are these restaurants? They just keep raising prices and act like it's not a big thing. Hello? Yes, it is and I've stopped eating out completely for over 3 years now and will continue to do so. I encourage everyone else to do the same until they learn they can't just keep raising prices. In fact, the prices need to come back down. Immediately!
That’s it right there! They can and will continue to raise prices because, though people complain, they complain while continuing to buy it. What reason will any business stop raising prices if the people keep buying it?
Uhhh…I’m not a fan of higher prices either, but there’s a reason why we’re in an inflation. Businesses have to pay their workers and buy supplies to make their product to serve customers. Everything has gone up and it’s trickle down to the customers. Don’t vote for career politicians who don’t know how to run the economy if you’re sick and tired of things being so expensive.
Where do you expect the money to pay employees to come from? Many of the comments I see on the increasing prices of fast food lead me to believe basic economics is no longer being taught in schools.
I went to their competitor MOE’s two burritos nothing extra and two drinks $35.00 I was in the restaurant around 6pm and we stayed about 45 minutes not one customer came in.
Went to a Philly cheesesteak spot and 2 Lemonades and 2 sandwiches with fries were 51$ smh
If you have the time, just visit a mom-and-pop Mexican restaurant, better flavor, price and atmosphere. Our favorite place you can get two meals (actually 4 meals because they give you so much food you need to take the rest home), 2 DosXXs and butt loads of homemade chips and salsa for under $35.00 a good tip is extra
@@transparentglazier local independently owned Mexican restaurants do not get enough credit; the quality is by an order of magnitude better than "chain" restaurants.

Exactly how does Chipotle know the earnings of their consumers?
Close friends of the banks, using the nation's spy networks under the blessing of Joe Biden.
credit card co and banks provide the jnfo
And this is why I no longer eat there.
Using robots, aka, layoff employees
They should buy mannequins to stand around at the St Cloud, FL store because that is what 90% of the employees do. ONE person on the line doing everything while the others wait for the drive up customers!!
Don’t bother tracking the ‘first’ return trip from your consumer after a price increase. That consumer will generally be too embarrassed to question the increased cost. Track the lack of a second trip, or the decreased order size. Those are the real numbers.
Inflation will be passed on to the customers. Higher taxes will be passed on to the customers. Minimum wage increases will be passed on to the customers.
How do they know who the High income and Low income customers are?
They don't fill the bowls up anymore for a higher price. I learned to make better bowls at home.
I've gone from eating lunch or dinner out 2 to 3 times a week to once every 2 or 3 months. It's survival mode now.
I hear you. The only time we go for a fancy dinner out is New Yers Eve. Now, we gp to Thai Food every 2 months because the prices are still reasonable.
The nastiest food in the world.
I used to eat there before I found out they lace their rice with oil. Oil and salt = heart attack and stroke.
I've been eating beef bacon butter and eggs with salt. Lost 20 pounds and feel great. But seed oils do suck.
eat potatoes not rice or pasta, occasionally u can eat it
I’ve been there once about 11 years ago, got the shits, and have never been back.
If Chipotle wants customer feedback, their burrito prices are a joke and I've been boycotting them for a while, well before their latest round of price increases.
Chipotle Shou never raised the cost of a a six or seven dollars burrito.
how much chipotle cost for a meal you would think their minimum wage would have been $20.. crazy
I have a Chipotle right by my house been there for years i have never ate there however i notice its way down o traffic lately not many customers anymore

There was a Chipotle across the street from where I worked. I went there one time and didn't like the food, it was terrible. I never went to one again, not even when they came over to the dealer to give gift certificates for a free meal. One other employee, besides myself, passed on the freebie. If they do or don't raise the prices, the terrible quality of their food is what has kept me away.
I just bought food at Wendy's this week: 2 Singles burgers and 1 small fries, total came out to $20. It is absolutely insane with these fast food places.
Dont know where they get their money from. It sure isnt me since I stopped going a while back. Just ridiculous prices
These CEOs are so absolutely clueless. My bill for lunch at chipotle for a family of four was well over $60. That’s insanity
It cost us almost double to keep our restaurant open. We refuse to raise prices! Everything is way up! Utilities, food vendor, you name it! Its ridiculous! To offset the costs we started closing one hour early. It saves us over $1700 every two weeks. It's not much but like I said. We refuse to pass it on to our customers. I'll shut it down before that happens!
Every chipotle I go to seems to be severely understaffed leading the workers to be tired and the quality of the experience becomes poor. Hit or miss on how the food quality/taste is…
2 wrongs don’t make it right, inflation and increased wages doesn’t mean you raise prices
You never went to business school lmao
Real human beings do not eat chipoodle.
I can get a better burrito at my local mexican restaurant for $4 less than a burrito at chipotle and it tastes way better.
I haven't eaten out at any of these restaurants in a month or 2. Shopping the perimeter of the grocery store. Saves cash, and I feel better. Good luck all.
Protesting fast food. No more! Great value and fair price… please.
Wow…you just described a pricing/financial analyst with the heading profile in the link🙋♂️
Garbage expensive Dog Food and $3,164 stock price are you Kidding 😅😅😅😅
My question is ...are they raising prices because they can or are they raising prices because they also are paying more for. And if they payin more, is the price increase equally the same as the price increase they are paying?
Dear Chipotle…..why does your pre-order or delivery to go suck?
Luckily, I love their food and would spring for it here and there. Unfortunately I have darn near given up all fast food because it is more expensive than a sit down restaurant in a lot of cases and I can cook at home waaay cheaper. Even though groceries are stupid expensive, they are still cheaper than food out.
It's illegal to claim higher wages and higher prices for goods.
What? Where did you come up with that bit of wisdom?
It is still to early to see the impact of California's $20 wage hike as well as other states in a similar situation.
Expense before this!!!
7% is less then inflation. All about the shareholders even if it’s bs
This guy’s word are full of Chipotle - they are raising costs, and eventually will do away with living workers for AI
Never been in a Chipotle, never will.
As soon as no one is looking… they will get rid of human labor.
Chipotle sucks.. throw a bunch of things together.. and sell it.. crap
Our town's shitpolte is very bad. It's a shame.
Fresh tasty food make them stand out of other fast food, but they still employ the same stinky employee. Basically other fast food chains improve food quality, chipotle will continue to grow
Never been in one.
Can't even stand the name.
I go to Chipotle, but if you start adding the queso, and guac the price becomes stupid high. Their steak is over cooked 90% of the time. The Barbacoa is good. I prefer to go to Qdoba though. Better value, guac and queso is included, and they always have Tea available, and more menu options. Chipotle let's the drink station go, and get rough looking. They don't bother to restock it. They stock it in the morning, and just let it go. I have had to ask for tea to be refilled many times over the years, and half the time they tell me they don't have it.
I love Chipotle ❤
Read the comments. I havent been in years. But I ALWAYS hear same 3 things.
1. Bad employees
2. Dirty
3. High price/low portion
Haven’t been to chipotle in months. Food is always cold.
Great food; great value.
That was one of last places to get good food for under $25.
They are so expensive now, I am done with them. If they do a buy one get one offer (BOGO) then I might consider it, otherwise forget it.
That’s the problem is I understand a meal is eight dollars but when I go to McDonald’s and pay that I get a big Mac that doesn’t look like a big Mac anymore. It’s like a slap together mess off a snack it’s not a meal anymore
How do they know your income?
Chipotle is getting pricey. Visit once a month instead of once a week. Dinner for two can cost $48 with leftovers. 💸
There’s also more offered in the food
Multiple locations over packing chips while frying with no taste of lime, no salt, not light and crisp when biting. The chips are supposed to be fried with clean oil, not over crouded in the fry basket so they have room to bubble, they should always be fluffed before going from box to fryer, the bowl should be clean and dry frequently when tossing the chips so that the salt can coat each chip, the salt needs to be added when chips are still very hot, and you should taste the lime in every chip. The chips should be so good that you can have them by them selves as a snack not flat, dry, packed, under cooked, no flavor, hard to bite, no love chips that are not even being taste tested. You have all the tools employees just need to care more about quality and supervisors need to take responsibility for not inspiring the workers to be "Top Performers"
Chipotle gave me the squirts in 2017; they need to humble down their prices.
With Chipotlaway I can eat Chipotle every day!
I don't like all that rice anyway..
Chipotle has low income customers? You sure you're now thinking Low Standard customers? Chipotle wasn't cost efficient from the get-go.
"Restaurant team providing a great experience" that is not happening lol
I thought chipotle was a rip off before the price increase now I’ll definitely never be going there
Chipotle was always overpriced. And now burritos are smaller. They are always out of items.
“We look at our customers income bracket and low end customers aren’t pulling back”. My question is, how tf do you know peoples annual salary to label them low end customer and high end customer.
Go to Qdoba. They have the exact same products, do not charge for Queso, AND have plasic straws
I used to like Chipotle 5 yrs ago. Chipotle is going the way of Subway.
Poor quality. Missing ingredients. Long wait times at peak hours. Dirty. No way.
Now do McDonald’s and subway.. prices are stupid ..now not even worth it.
Wow, we have angry people… this does not end well.
I'm good with homemade, juicy jalapeño, lettuce, plastered in mayonnaise sandwiches, and a bag of original chips of Lay's. Oh yea...and cold Coke Zero.
“Low income consumers came at same rate as high income consumers- that tells us we are providing great value”. Correlation doesn’t always mean causation.
Are the low income purchasers paying with a credit card they will default on.
Chipotle quality is not the same anymore. I had to stop eating it. The food always made my stomach hurt
U just need Chipotlaway
FFS its rice and beans and a tiny bit of meat. I stopped eating there years ago and for about the same price i get a lot more from an authentic restaurant across the street.
Chipotle is cheaper than Mc Donalds
Isn't this the place that is always poisoning people?
Buy the stock before the 50 to 1 stock split .... thanks later 😊
That's the sixth time they raised the price?? Wtf?
in the 70s when I had my first McDonald, the burger was of good size and one meal is filling. Nowadays, the burger is only 40% of the original. That is not good enough as a proper meal. I always get hungry shortly after lunch. Also, the bun quality is so easy to crumble into pieces when it has the source in it. I really wish McDonald could restore the size and quality of the good old days. By the way, the burger meat does not taste like a real burger at all. For that kind of price and get only half full in your stomach is a total rip off. Don't get me wrong, I love McDonald, I only hope the Chairman of the Board can find a way to let the company's glorious image shine again.
