Chris, just discovered your older videos a few weeks ago and was totally blown away. But this is - as has already been reported below - a different level. You have a truly unique talent. Play Yorkshire. Please!!!
BEATS OVER LIVE BAND all day! Also, loving the longer format with the full crowd work. I’ll stay for as long as the video is. Comedy bit is almost as entertaining as the rap.
Umm, you should go watch some of the footage from the Pretty Lights tour...and then imagine people rapping over some of it? Clean hiphop beats are fire tho. Classic beats are classic for a very good reason, beyond audience familiarity. In other words: several live musicians in perfect NOT"just press play mode" are often amazing.
Yeah, I meant I like it better when Chris raps over a recorded beat, rather than a when he has the live band in the club. But how random that you reference Pretty Lights. You mean the band? By Derek Smith? I’ve been a huge fan for a couple years now. Seen them live twice down here in Florida.
@@dane462 Some of that probably has to do with the difficulty of recording live music. And yeah, Pretty Lights was basically a DJ/producer and now he is in a band and with a troop of vfx and audio technician nerds lol.
Chris is on another level on this one.. you can clearly see his skills have evolved. Also you sound soooo much better with real beats Chris. please always use real beats and not some improvised weirdness. When the beat is improvised makes your skill look not as incredible as it really is
I mentioned this before on another video, but I swear your flows are improving. On some parts of your rap, there just something about your cadence that wasn't there before. I can here the difference now, compared to your older raps. Nice work, man.
What a gift! This fuller clip has gotten my 2024 off to a great start. If they ever allow the double smash of the Like button, I will repay your generosity kind sir.
What a genius, when breaking into the rap, the guy has such a memory, constructing the rap the whole time he's talking while cracking jokes THEN breaking out the rap, it's insane.
This was incredible. The crowd work, the the beat, the flow, the knowledge. But most importantly, no high-hat-obsessed down-syndrome Jax Jones on the keyboard.
She doesn't know about the fabled Australian elephant?!?! 52 feet tall with razor sharp tusks, runs at a sustained 130 mph for weeks on end, one drop of their venom is enough to kill every living creature in history five times, and it desperately hates anything besides its own species?!?!
Probably one of the only “freestyle” rappers that exists. I hate how rappers are always like “freestyle” this or that and then they just spit some shit they pre wrote… freestyle is off the cuff, made up on the spot. Idk how Chris Turner does it.
@chrispjturner u should check ur facts better darling. Muggsy Bogues was 5ft3 and a very good NBA player. He was a point guard, the guy who starts and sets up the attack, the strategist of the team. Being short wasn't that much of an issue ;-)
The look on their faces when I started rapping 😂Come check out a live date: www.christurnercomedy.com/tour-dates
Loved this one, great when you get stories from everyone and just go with the flow. Hoping to see you live soon
Love seeing you go in on dextah beats
You're the illest

Your cadence is evolving, I can hear new patterns, very cool

Unreal. This is what years of practice, a dream, and a sharp mind at work will get you! I’m such a fan. Keep flowing, you awesome Brit.
This is One of the best among your raps skit
This one was top class
The crowd work is a good as the rap, amazing job!
"I like to tick, tick, tick and then I miss the box" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's no way! Sharpest wit ever.

Agree, skills evolved! But what do you mean by "real beats" etc ?
@@getdavemoore think he means pre recorded beats and not live ones made by the band on the spot
Word. And these surprise raps are so awesome
As an event planner I’ve seen so many bands doing their impro in a proper way right away
Harry Mack got nothing on Chris. He's good but Chris knowledge and comedy make him so much more than a Mack one trick pony.

I've been looking for the full stand up for a while.. as I'm from the UK and I never had the oportunity to watch Chris in action.
Thanks.

Imagine what you could achieve with that sharp mind! 😅😅
Mad skills! 👑
Who knows, one day he might get to be a Careers Advisor.
You make it look so easy up there. Looking forward to your next upload Chris. They just keep getting better.

Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi!
The beat aided your skills massively. Don’t ever use a weird on the spot creation again. We’ve seen the difference it makes.
that flow!
that was straight up badASS! Not literally. Obviously.
😮
Threw a spanner in the works- or a spanakopita- that was clever
who put up the tripod for this one, he´s not that tall
some live audio would be nice too for the future, you deserve some more quality production
