it is very wrong to use a spring hanger. The spring hanger only holds the body, but the inner conductors that actually extend with heat, the most extending conductor is the middle conductor. In this way, serious stresses occur at the joint

That's why have to use the expansion units in the vertical itself .. so it will occur the stress in that. ( vertical expansion unit ). By the way the busbar weight will hanging in the spring hangers and after some years later it will get one side stress and the busbar pieces will get uneven in the levels.. so in the joints the heat will produce and might get damage. Better will use the rigid support , is the permanent solution forever.

Spring hanger in real high riser building is disaster. Needs to be calibrated and no secure against thermal extending of current bars.
