can i ask a weird question? for cut and sew, do you print the design onto a massive sheet and cut the pattern/panel from that or do you only print the patterns/panels onto a sheet and have the design fit within those panels and cut that?
Can you please talk about Style Scape? Difference Mood board? I know the difference but can I have your opinion. I am trying to design my clothing brand
I’m a little confused and new to this process can anybody help me, if I want to create a super customized cut and sewn garment but still want to fulfill my orders through a print on demand service, instead of holding inventory, do I first create the garment from a manufacturer then send it to a print on demand service or how does the process go, im not too sure
I'm designing an updated version of an existing established work apparel item. It will be designed and manufactured in the US. No China for me, thank you.
Many ppl feel that way. It’s caused a big movement in domestic production. And as the global recovery becomes an issue this will fuel that movement as well 💯🇺🇸

Thank you
With all the political uncertainty, I’m staying in USA for now but on another note, I have a question regarding designs. Maybe this has a simple answer but no one has so far given me a usable answer. Is it possible to do hands on artwork and send a digital photo of it or the actual work itself, to a printer and wash my hands if it (digitally and print ready speaking)? Lord knows I have tried to like illustrator and photoshop and procreate but I just don’t have the desire to create on a machine. I want to discuss the final specs with someone regarding the hands on work and then have it printed. Am I being unrealistic in this digital age?
Ive tried this in the past but most printers ive experienced won't provide that service as theyre too busy or do not have a position in the company to convert hard copies to vector. I find it easier to do drawings on procreate, but you gotta save as a png so u can vector it out on illustrator. Hell if its just line art, you can scan and vector that easily. Ive also sourced fiverr for converting hand drawn art to vector. Its a real hit n miss tho. Imo you'll save a lot more money learning to use the software, its a huge learning curve at the beginning, but you do get faster and more familiar with the programs with every project you complete. Also the work is yours and you dont need to pay a commercial license fee like you would if you went with an online freelancer. I had to come to the realization that if we wanted our business to grow, then we had to learn to save our money cause designs are expensive when u hire ppl. Bit the bullet and have been learning AI for bout 18 months, but its helped me so much learning how to use it, haven't regretted it.
I see where you coming from. I made a vid a while back on why brands don’t share their vendors. Worth a look. But the main reason this is tough is if you have a good vendor. you don’t want to burn them with tire kickers. Having owned apparel production company in the past you want exposure but to the right audience. I def don’t want my name attached to 20k ppl asking a factory for quote. I always vet the brand that I connect to a factory if I choose to share that contact.

The panels are set for the sample size (say large or waist 34) but for fit protos yeas all panels for all sizes are made.

Good question. So it’s really either, or. Go with product in demand or do cut and sew and hold inventory. Pros and cons to both routes.
