I am not a hairstylist . Just a 72 yr old lady. I think your hair color now makes you look younger. I think it makes your eyes pop. And it makes your smile show up even more. Of course that’s just my opinion.

Dawn I couldn’t wait to tell you I’m so excited. I’ve been decluttering earnestly since middle July, my husband is over the moon that we can now have people in our home. I have hoarding tendencies and I’ve been so worried about refilling my home again, I don’t want the clutter anymore I’m really over it but I also know what I’m like when I see pretty things when I’m out shopping, ‘oh the gotta have’s.’ Yesterday i was in a store like Goodwill because I’m looking for glass bowls to put under my plants, so I can see if they need water and I came across a beautiful bread bin. I’m looking at it, gorgeous red colour, l touched it, opened the lid, it looked brand new and really wanted it, then I stopped. Before now I would have just brought it just because, got it home and thought where am I going to put it? I would have either shoved it on my kitchen bench or put it in my sewing room for another day. I thought I already have a bread bin from the 1940’s and have no desire to replace it, so I closed the lid and walked away. I am so proud of myself, I’m not saying I’m cured from hoarding, I think I will always struggle but yesterday was a small step to a brand new life. Thank you again Dawn for your gentle kindness in teaching us how to declutter, I really am getting there because of you, thank you 🥰
Way to go! A great channel you might appreciate is called “a hoarders heart”. She’s a recovering hoarder and does decluttering videos while doing a lot of teaching.
It will likely get easier! I talked my daughter into finding a stylus in our pen tub, rather than buying the one her friend uses (for $20!) and I was jumping up and down with her about it, LOL.
Your hair looks better like this! Even darker would really enhance your eye color. Darker brown tends to make your hair appear fuller/more dense. When you lighten it, the hair can seem more see-through and appear thin. I love your new look!

Another great idea for short people who can't reach things in the back of the upper cupboards very easily: we only have 4 mugs since decluttering, but my husband is tall and pushes them all the way to the back because he forgets that I'm short, so we got a lazy susan for the mugs, and it's been perfect! So easy for him to never forget where to put them, because they have a "home" now, and that home is really easy for me to quickly rotate and grab what I need! Plus it's kind of fun to spin them haha! And 4 mugs fit perfectly on the lazy susan size we got, so it was a great fix! Thanks for your videos, Dawn! I always love watching them! You have helped me so much with decluttering my house and making it easier for me to tidy up! :)

We have had an egg cooker for several years and we love it! We don't have extra gadgets in our kitchen either but this is a favorite in our house Love the darker hair!

I switched to Corelli dishes several years ago when my hand arthritis bugged me lifting my heavy stoneware. I agree they are so easy to clean and much less space to store. The white makes it easy to go with everything.
And so boring all year round!! I have other bowls and a few plates I bring out to avoid boredom. I have lived with same white Corelle for probably 50+years. Fairly indestructible.
Word to the wise, never freeze Corelle dishware! If you put it in the freezer, then drop it after taking it out, they WILL break. I learned this from a coworker years ago who learned the hard way with their set. Otherwise, they are virtually indestructible compared to other dishware.
Yes to magnetic clasps. I make resin and clay jewelry. At a certain age you just buy jewelry that can go over your head! The magnetic clasps are so wonderful.

I have a necklace that has a screw clasp. I’d like to put an extender on it because it’s just a little bit too tight. But I don’t see anything that works. The ones that have a screw of class on the end so it wouldn’t necessarily be easy to open any suggestion.
I actually really like the veggie chopper! I have significant back problems and can’t stand at the counter cutting and prepping for very long. The chopper makes it so quick, which really helps me out!
I have bought 2 the first one didn't work at all. The one I have now can take more time to clean than just chopping normally. Maybe with the right stuff it's worth it

Mine came with little cleaning brushes and tools, and rinsing & cleaning it immediately after use has never given me a problem. Maybe the hand chopping time and back pain it saves me is what makes it worth it in my life.

My concern is the health aspect. False lashes are a prime breeding ground for bacteria, especially if left on for a number of days and nights. We only get one set of eyes, and they must last us a lifetime.
I'll admit I don't love these kind of videos, but I'll watch them because I love you! However, in saying that, I think with the progress you've made in your house, it is enjoyable for you to make little improvents because you've built up to the capacity to be able to do this. I'm the same. I love making little improvements around my place, and it's really cool to see some of the little things that can make a difference. And it's kinda fun to share them. 😊

❤I thought of you today when I looked at the wooden bowl on my island. It lived there for a week while we had company and guess what happened?…it became that durn clutter catcher. Back to the pantry it goes and it will live there until we use it as its normal purpose (a beautiful chip bowl) for when we entertain or have movie nights. Hey Dawn, your colour looks great 😍 if you want a wee tip from a hairdresser, only apply it to your roots, then last 10 min comb through, so you don’t get a a dark build up on your mids and ends. Makes lightening it up come spring much kinder to your hair 🤗 love your channel x
Thanks for the recs! I have the water bottle racks and wish I had found them sooner. We can now see all our water bottles/coffee tumblers, we can reach them without having to search through the cupboard, and we're actually using what we have. We used to forget what was in the back of the cupboard, never use them, and then buy more. Not anymore. Can't say enough about the racks. Also my Corelle dishes. Another "wish I bought them sooner" item. I'm a potter, so I actually MAKE all these beautiful, artistic, handmade dishes. And yet I still use my Corelle. Corelle is so light weight, which is better for my arthritis, better for husband's carpal tunnel, better for kids, better for older people. They take up less space. They don't break. You can microwave them. I can't say enough. I love them.
I have the veggie chopper and I LOVE it. I figured out the secret to not having to press hard is not to overload it. But even doing smaller batches at a time still is much quicker than hand chopping all those veggies. I also use it as an egg chopper when I make potato or egg salad. But I make a lot of soups, stews, salsa and guacamole and that chopper has saved SO much time and effort! I would not part with mine.
Hi Dawn, I wish I had seen this video before I ordered that crappy veggie chopper. Two of my favorite Instagram people swore by it. I always thought I was doing it wrong because the onions I was chopping never came out great and it takes up space in my cupboard that I can’t really afford. Your honesty on products is always spot on so keep giving is your great advice! By the way, your new darker hair color is super flattering on you….maybe you should keep it
I just wanted to stop by and first say Hi!! 😊 But also, I LOVE watching your videos, I'm almost daily watching at least one to get me morivated, not to mention I feel like we're besties now since were together all the time 😅 I have made quite a first pass through our house- getting rid of furniture soon that just holds stuff and we dont actually use- its a big step but I'm ready! Youre SO right, a simplified space just feels SO GOOD! I have told so many people about you, shared your videos and tips bc it just works and like you've said, I just want them to experience the same thing bc its SO good! I've got to tell you, I used to be someone who would just shop for fun (thrift stores mostly bc Im cheap😅) but I couldn't go into a store wothout buying something. We’ve used inexpensive IKEA dishes for years and years. But as I’m aging and having more back issues, I was really noticing the extra stress to my back when loading and unloading the dishwasher with the heavy dishes. So we just invested in Correlle a few months ago, and I am absolutely adoring it. When I was young, I would never have imagined that the weight of dishes could bother me, but aging me sure does!
Lots of interesting things here - just a note that I talked about the Waterpik with my dentist last week as I was so proud I was using mine regularly! She said that it's better than nothing, but can't get to the spots where your teeth touch each other so regular floss is still better. Just a public service announcement :)
We have a small laundry room and the wall mounted drying rack has been wonderful. I was so grateful for that recommendation. I love my Instant Pot and use that to do hardboiled eggs but there again, I use that for many purposes. Love the coffee maker that grinds the beans idea! Christmas list now started!!!!

I was coming to comment the same thing! Not a vegan, but I LOVE my veggie chopper for large batch prepping. I agree it's not worth cleaning it to chop 1 onion, but when you have 3 onions and 2 peppers, etc...

We have a food chopper similar to the one you showed. We make a lot of pico de gallo every summer with veggies from our garden and love the small dice. Ours came with a brush, so it is easy to clean. I wouldn't be without it.
I bought the green bathtub toys for all of my little grand nieces and nephews and a couple of my own grandkids last year. I was so impressed. I had an issue with a bonus book missing from the order. The company was wonderful to work with and sent the books right away. Also, you've recommended the adhesive cord holders that stick on appliances. They are life changing!
I love my veggie chopper! I think it depends on what kind of cooking you're doing! We do a lot of preserving and freeze drying, and I have no patience for chopping
Dawn, I love your approach to this video. My take on the chopper is that it’s great if you need to chop a large amount of produce and care about even sizing. I tend to pull it out more if I need a small dice on carrots and other veggies, but for regular cooking I just use a knife and settle for rustic carrots (sliced and quartered).
There are a lot of comments about your hair color. It is so pretty, but if you like your hair a bit lighter, go lighter. Do what you want with your hair. I bought the dishrags a few years ago and love them. Love what you use and use what you love, whether it's microfiber or not! I did buy the ceiling fan duster thing a month or so ago, when you said you love it. I love it! And it washes beautifully. Thanks for doing so much for us! We love you!

O Cedar spin mop is great! I got the model with a rinse water reservoir which is okay but not necessary, the mop fabric and spinner is the main advantage

I love those dish cloths since years ago when you talked about them. I've got sets for everyone for Christmas that year. They love them. They last so nice. Love my O cedar mop the best. Others in my family use it as well. I. Wore thick eyelashes this year for my daughter's wedding and I wore the brand that you talked about loved them. And they look so natural. I like what you share. Because you're someone I would trust and have not been disappointed on any products that I have tried. I love the little smiley sponge . Years ago I thought I had to have white porcelain dishes. They were so heavy and they took up so much space. I finally listened to someone in my family and went to white. Corral. Have had them for way. Over 20 years and they are fantastic, love them love them. There are everyday dishes. They don't take up as much space and they are durable. What I like about the white ones is I can put them on different tablecloths and it looks pretty. ??? I have a question. Are those glasses pretty durable? Those stools we have in white, love them❤ like you said durable
I KNEW you would love the egg cooker! I have the smaller version, and I use it weekly. I don't put them in water, leave them on the counter, or prep the eggs in any way. The reason they peel easier, is because you poke a hole in the top of the egg, and the steam escapes, and that creates a space between the shell and the rest of the egg. I refuse to peel eggs that were hard-boiled any other way, now.
I have to also chime in and say that the darker color makes you look younger and soooo gorgeous! It must be the color that best matches your skin tone!
We purchased the instant pot that has the air fryer. Actually I gave my older version without the air fryer away and replaced it. My husband uses the pressure cooker option 3-4 minutes for perfect poached eggs every Saturday. I make "hard boiled" eggs in it @4 minutes, 4 minute pressure natural release and then ice water bath. Easy to peel right away.

Love the comprehensive list. I use corell bake ware for casseroles etc. So much lighter weight than glass or French white casserole pans.

The skin in a wind tunnel look is scary.
My concern is the health aspect. False lashes are a prime breeding ground for bacteria, especially if left on for a number of days and nights. We only get one set of eyes, and they must last us a lifetime.
I'll admit I don't love these kind of videos, but I'll watch them because I love you! However, in saying that, I think with the progress you've made in your house, it is enjoyable for you to make little improvents because you've built up to the capacity to be able to do this. I'm the same. I love making little improvements around my place, and it's really cool to see some of the little things that can make a difference. And it's kinda fun to share them. 😊

❤I thought of you today when I looked at the wooden bowl on my island. It lived there for a week while we had company and guess what happened?…it became that durn clutter catcher. Hey Dawn, your colour looks great 😍 if you want a wee tip from a hairdresser, only apply it to your roots, then last 10 min comb through, so you don’t get a a dark build up on your mids and ends. Makes lightening it up come spring much kinder to your hair 🤗 love your channel x
Thanks for the recs! I have the water bottle racks and wish I had found them sooner. We can now see all our water bottles/coffee tumblers, we can reach them without having to search through the cupboard, and we're actually using what we have. We used to forget what was in the back of the cupboard, never use them, and then buy more. Not anymore. Can't say enough about the racks. Also my Corelle dishes. Another "wish I bought them sooner" item. I'm a potter, so I actually MAKE all these beautiful, artistic, handmade dishes. And yet I still use my Corelle. Corelle is so light weight, which is better for my arthritis, better for husband's carpal tunnel, better for kids, better for older people. They take up less space. They don't break. You can microwave them. I can't say enough. I love them.
I have the veggie chopper and I LOVE it. I figured out the secret to not having to press hard is not to overload it. But even doing smaller batches at a time still is much quicker than hand chopping all those veggies. I also use it as an egg chopper when I make potato or egg salad. But I make a lot of soups, stews, salsa and guacamole and that chopper has saved SO much time and effort! I would not part with mine.
Hi Dawn, I wish I had seen this video before I ordered that crappy veggie chopper. Two of my favorite Instagram people swore by it. I always thought I was doing it wrong because the onions I was chopping never came out great and it takes up space in my cupboard that I can’t really afford. Your honesty on products is always spot on so keep giving is your great advice! By the way, your new darker hair color is super flattering on you….maybe you should keep it

I just wanted to stop by and first say Hi!! 😊 But also, I LOVE watching your videos, I'm almost daily watching at least one to get me morivated, not to mention I feel like we're besties now since were together all the time 😅 I have made quite a first pass through our house- getting rid of furniture soon that just holds stuff and we dont actually use- its a big step but I'm ready! Youre SO right, a simplified space just feels SO GOOD! I have told so many people about you, shared your videos and tips bc it just works and like you've said, I just want them to experience the same thing bc its SO good! I've got to tell you, I used to be someone who would just shop for fun (thrift stores mostly bc Im cheap😅) but I couldn't go into a store wothout buying something. Since decluttering so much, the other day I went to multiple stores and didnt buy a single thing! I was amazed!! Thank you SO much for your inspiration and help along the way Dawn!! I've still got many layers of the onion to go but I can definitely feel the difference already and want others to have the same experience. Working on my moms house soon!!
We’ve used inexpensive IKEA dishes for years and years. But as I’m aging and having more back issues, I was really noticing the extra stress to my back when loading and unloading the dishwasher with the heavy dishes. So we just invested in Correlle a few months ago, and I am absolutely adoring it. When I was young, I would never have imagined that the weight of dishes could bother me, but aging me sure does!
Lots of interesting things here - just a note that I talked about the Waterpik with my dentist last week as I was so proud I was using mine regularly! She said that it's better than nothing, but can't get to the spots where your teeth touch each other so regular floss is still better. Just a public service announcement :)

We have a small laundry room and the wall mounted drying rack has been wonderful. I was so grateful for that recommendation. I love my Instant Pot and use that to do hardboiled eggs but there again, I use that for many purposes. Love the coffee maker that grinds the beans idea! Christmas list now started!!!!

I was coming to comment the same thing! Not a vegan, but I LOVE my veggie chopper for large batch prepping. I agree it's not worth cleaning it to chop 1 onion, but when you have 3 onions and 2 peppers, etc...

We have a food chopper similar to the one you showed. We make a lot of pico de gallo every summer with veggies from our garden and love the small dice. Ours came with a brush, so it is easy to clean. I wouldn't be without it.
I bought the green bathtub toys for all of my little grand nieces and nephews and a couple of my own grandkids last year. I was so impressed. I had an issue with a bonus book missing from the order. The company was wonderful to work with and sent the books right away. Also, you've recommended the adhesive cord holders that stick on appliances. They are life changing!

I love my veggie chopper! I think it depends on what kind of cooking you're doing! We do a lot of preserving and freeze drying, and I have no patience for chopping
Dawn, I love your approach to this video. My take on the chopper is that it’s great if you need to chop a large amount of produce and care about even sizing. I tend to pull it out more if I need a small dice on carrots and other veggies, but for regular cooking I just use a knife and settle for rustic carrots (sliced and quartered).

Wore thick eyelashes this year for my daughter's wedding and I wore the brand that you talked about loved them. And they look so natural. I like what you share. Because you're someone I would trust and have not been disappointed on any products that I have tried. I love the little smiley sponge . Years ago I thought I had to have white porcelain dishes. They were so heavy and they took up so much space. I finally listened to someone in my family and went to white. Corral. Have had them for way. Over 20 years and they are fantastic, love them love them. There are everyday dishes. They don't take up as much space and they are durable. What I like about the white ones is I can put them on different tablecloths and it looks pretty.

I KNEW you would love the egg cooker! I have the smaller version, and I use it weekly. I don't put them in water, leave them on the counter, or prep the eggs in any way.
The reason they peel easier, is because you poke a hole in the top of the egg, and the steam escapes, and that creates a space between the shell and the rest of the egg. I refuse to peel eggs that were hard-boiled any other way, now.
I have to also chime in and say that the darker color makes you look younger and soooo gorgeous! It must be the color that best matches your skin tone!
We purchased the instant pot that has the air fryer. Actually I gave my older version without the air fryer away and replaced it. My husband uses the pressure cooker option 3-4 minutes for perfect poached eggs every Saturday. I make "hard boiled" eggs in it @4 minutes, 4 minute pressure natural release and then ice water bath. Easy to peel right away.
Your hair color looks very nice! I love my veggie chopper and is not hard to clean because it comes with a little tool and I clean it right after I use it.
