I literally bought a XM on Friday and spent the weekend trying to integrate with live 2 so this video is a blessing from the Heavens out of all the synths I’ve tinkered with I’ve found more useful patches sounds etc . for the genre of music I enjoy making and Roland Cloud doesn’t work on Mpc software w/o hacking since it doesn’t have a vst2 on PC
Wonderful- you explained this very well. And you are right, I'm always confused with videos about equipment. They simply be missing steps and it's a pain because you know it's something simple. But great job here. Please keep this up.
Thanks for the video, Roland and Yamaha support audio over usb, so basically you can record MIDI and sound using only USB connection. Not sure if Korg does it.
Cheers mate. Just got one of these shipped from Newcastle (near Sydney) across the country little old Adelaide in South Australia. Couldn't find the MSB LSB PC# in the manual at all. Got the original JV 1010 & other equipment from the past & present to sync up to this beauty easy! Not sure what Roland manual has the proper bank listings but the retail manual is rubbish haha. Cheers again for a great clip!

Question on your sound packs are they mostly drum packs and are you doing any Black Friday deals? Also, can you give same kind of tutorial on the 06 on how to add sound packs?
The preloaded models label is wayyy too off on the left. Numbers 1 to 7 do not match models Jupiter-8 to Jupiter-X symmetrically. Great video by the way, very informative. Thanks.

I wish akai implemented audio over usb cable. Not the Tascam model 12 route but 1 usb cable from synth to a hub and Mpc will read both midi and create ghost audio lane or track picking up audio too with that 1 usb cable. Roland and Yamaha support this.

A nice advantage of the Xm is that it can be battery powered. Makes a perfect partner to the Live.
