I agree, the scene is good but having him make a point to read the cookbooks and get irritated that he ‘has’ to make it. Than proceeding to make it with a gas mask just is super endearing to me. Shows a bit better what he was willing to do to make her happy.

well, the cat fan book is just a fan book, not an actual volume of the manga. it reviews the first 17 volumes. and in the anime, they never mention the hat-boy, AKA Yuki.
