Lithium Sunset (Lyrics)

- The lyrics to Sting's song Lithium Sunset, on his album Mercury Falling.
This is what Sting had to say about this song in his lyrics book:
"A South American shaman told me that the human eye can't filter yellow light, so the lithium in direct sunlight goes straight to the brain. Quite how he knew that lithium is a constituent element in sunlight I didn't find out. He explained further that this was why it was good to watch the sun go down, to feel calm and at peace before nightfall and before the mercury falls again" (Sting 212).
There were two changes that I take responsibility for. One, the lyrics book says, "And fold my darkness/*Into* your yellow light." The other is when the lyrics book says, "I see that mercury falling."
Like this video, dislike it (if you must), comment, share it on various social media sights, recommend the next song that I make a video for, or just sit back and enjoy. In any event, thank you for watching and I hope you like it! :)
What a great tune.
I read that Lithium is the medicine Sting takes to treat his bipolar disorder, so this song is about his disorder.
Yes, Lithium was a standard medicine for BP some years ago. I think the darkness in the lyrics is a reference to the depression part of BP.
@@mailtorajrao IDK if true but if not it's accurate

:) Saludos.
