How To: Using MIDI on the Darkglass A.D.A.M. (Aggressively Distorting Advanced Machine)

As requested, I created a how to video on setting up the Darkglass A.D.A.M. to use with a BOSS ES-8 MIDI Switcher.
The A.D.A.M. has a lot of great new features. This video focuses ONLY on the MIDI controls. I'll leave the sound tweaking and demos to the other guys.

Couldn't figure out why I couldn't get my setup to work and found your video. I think my cable is the problem. Had some generic one off Amazon and it doesn't say if it's Type A or Type B. Now that I know what works for you I'm going to pick up a new cable. Thanks for the video and breaking all this down.

Hey there, nice video but I don't get a crucial point..I'm a MIDI noob and I'm trying to understand how to recall my ADAM preset on D E F channel using and Ampero MIDI Controller. Problem is that I can't understand how they communicate: I mean, I select the channel 3 (mapped to be the D preset) and insert the value over 22 but simply nothing happens....and I don't understand why!
I also don't understand if I've to set PC or CC and there's NOTHING on Dargkglass site who can provide this information!!!
And I can't find either what Data correspond to what action...It's a little bit frustrating....

is it possible to turn the noise suppressor on and off with midi? (for me that would be incredibly helpful. i don't HAVE to have it, but it would be a nice ability)

If you place Adam before the h9 in the chain, won't this be a problem for the h9 signal? how do you use the H9 in combination with the Adam and the boss es8. the clean sound of a delay is nice, but what is the response if the Adam is before the H9, what settings do you use on the Adam?

Honestly, I never fell in love with the sound of the ADAM. I use a B7K though.
The ES-8 allows you to put them in whatever order you wish, or split and send each channel to it's own pedals , and then recombine or send them to 2 separate amps.
The real hero of this video is the ES-8.

Do you know if the ADAM is entirely digital, or is it an Analog pedal with only Digital controls?

Darkglass uses the term "distortion algorithms" - that definitely refers to digital code. The cabsims are code. I don't know about the EQ circuits and compressor, but I'd guess that it's the same.
Some will like that, some won't. But, so far, I'm happy with the tones I'm getting, which are VERY different from what I see Darkglass pushing in their demos.
