Bungie have "Buffed" The Last Word in a recent update, although I always saw this a fix, rather than a buff. However, a lot of other Guardians have mentioned that it seems to feel much better than the small Fix/Buff that I expected... Maybe Bungie did a little more than we thought?! Enjoy!

My favorite meta was ADS last word. Thing was a monster even on mouse and keyboard in the earlier seasons of d2 when it came out

It was goated in d1 during the LW v thorn meta. Additionally, LW used to be able to 2 tap ads. Was insane.
Yeah, the fact you get reduced damage on ADS ( Even in PvE ) i hate it.
It's the flinch nerf. For whatever reason TLW just fliched so badly at times you missed a bunch of shots, now that flinch is practically gone it's a laser. Trust me I put around 3k kills on it before this weeks update and now it just doesn't move when you're getting shot.
This, I noticed the difference from before with mnk testing with flinch mods. Flinch mods was a must have to use tlw.
In the special meter sandbox, people treated special more carefully. Now we're back to just spraying wildly cuz we know we get more green every round
Im not touching trials until the crates are gone 🤷♂️
It's a two week experiment. You won't have to wait long. They've got enough feedback now that they'll know it's not worth pursuing in 3v3 modes, at least in this iteration.

@@JGburneraccount They probably won't, the whole reason for this was to get the feedback they weren't getting with crates stuck in labs. The intention of it wasn't to switch everything over to crates, even if it did work out they only wanted to use it in certain game modes like clash. And as they've learnt this week the ammo meter performs better overall and is preferred by the community, there's no reason for them to continue with crates. It doesn't align with their goal too.
The first intention of crates was to get people moving around the map, instead of deathball camping because people didn't need to move in non-objective based modes. Crates did achieve this because people were all over the place trying to get the next ammo spawn. But this was because ammo was spawning almost constantly. It's ridiculously bad how much ammo there is. It creates this issue where there is way too much ammo, enough to run double special very comfortably. You'd still have ammo to spare too lol. It solved the camping issue for the most part, but at a massive cost. And when you built up a massive reserve of special ammo you no longer needed to move, you could go back to camping. So it didn't really solve the issue.
The second reason behind it being tested was to bring up special weapons that were left behind in the new scarce ammo system. Several archetypes saw a large drop in usage because ammo needs to be earnt in the ammo meter system, and their specific archetypes didn't earn a lot of ammo. Bungie didn't want to make those weapons feel unusable, understandably. But again, the crates system failed miserably at solving this because it tipped it the other way, due to the overabundance of ammo. To make it worse, this issue can be solved whilst still using the ammo meter system. Just by adjusting the amount of ammo they receive. And due to the meter, you can still have ammo be infrequent enough so that it doesn't cause an overabundance of special ammo.
The crate system failed. It's unlikely that we will see it again due to the fact that it fundamentally doesn't work, mostly anyway. It's not a situation where small changes to it will fix it.

What makes the bar so better than the crates is not does it encourage primary play and rewards you for it but you also dont have to keep you head on a swivel for shot guns
I used it for the first time on mouse and keyboard, last used in forsaken on controller, and it felt pretty good. Got really harsh damage dropoff, but it does have a .53 ttk within 20m
Been pairing LW with a pulse rifle or bow on my Voidwalker with Astrocyte, its been pretty fun so far

Shotguns aren't the issue broken cncr fusion and snipers are.
Dying to a shotgun in maps that aren't anomaly is a skill issue legit.
I prefer the bar system, dropped over 2kd all 3 weekends with transmat over my typical 1.5.
I just got my first flawless win this season and I thought it would be much harder considering it’s adept summoner this week.

I've always played with TLW, and it really isn't that bad once you get used to it. ADS Is much more convenient though

Switching your weapons only gets rid of your super energy if you do it while you’re alive during an active round
@gernaderjake I don’t know how else to get this through but if you would be willing can you tell other people that passage of persistence is still bugged after 7 wins it won’t let you farm it just flaws and I’m hoping if more people say something bungie might actually fix there card even though they said they did

It’s the only way I would say last word is better is because of not the fix but because of the flinch reduction that all weapons got is making it feel better in my opinion.

We literally seen Jake go flawless while doing a carry with double special weapons of course this ammo crate crap is not good at all.😢; I tried a round or so of trials immediately logged off
For some reason I can’t trade my trials engrams for adept summoner and it doesn’t drop for me as a reward after getting flawless, anyone else has that issue?
Yeah you can’t use trials engrams for adepts. lol. You can only farm wins once you get 7 wins and adept summoner will drop 50% of the time when you win a game. Even after the card is flawed you can still farm wins and get drops.
It does drop. You just might go a bunch of games without it dropping that’s all.

I dislike this trials test weekend. I prefer it staying as it was before the test. Now it’s just people immediately rushing for special boxes.
The people who made the ammo changes most likely didnt play D2y1. Everyone waiting for heavy ammo.

Honestly, honestly, I think the biggest difference with the extra damage is the fact that it gives you more range. I understand that there’s no range increase, but the larger damage allows. The damage fall off to be extended. I believe this makes it feel better at range and further.

It got double buffed, the individual fix plus the hand cannon damage buff

I don’t understand this special ammo BS. How about players spawn with 1 or 2 bullets each round and that’s it. Keeping it simple and effective is the way to go.
Or every other round you load with 2? So players would have to be conservative and smart with their ammo usage. But yeah this double crate thing is ridiculous.

Here we go. Back to Jake. Crunching LW again. Anyone that thinks they are good by using last word on a controller knows nothing about this game. D2 holds the nut sack of people that use controller and last word is the jock strap
you are complaining cause you know a guy might have a shotty you can't just ape him, or a guy might have a sniper you can't challenge him across the map with a last word. do you see where people think you are being bit shitty. You answer to dealing with people who are good at something is limit them from being able to do that one thing you don't like. The only way players with out skill excell is by team shooting & taking a away special. I get it is your prefrence lthat others be put at a disadvange so you can have fun, but it dosen't make it fair. There are players if you give them a sniper, or a shotty put them on any map & 1v1 one them they would bury non stop at your skill level. Not saying I could ever beat you at what you are good at, that is why I don't play trials anymore. I am not very good, or willing to be good at team shooting people with wet noodles I use to be good with snipers & shotguns, but now I don't even use them even in PvE because they have contiuously nerfed them & limited them it isn't fun. Match making manipulation & ammo economy limitations the way they try to level the playing field. fun for no one. When you try to manipulate matchmaking it forces sweats, in sweats skill based weapons become king, so you have then have to limit their availability
not a buff, ppl just coping cause they havent used it since it came out, and forgot its actually a decent gun. ive been exclusively using it for the past year, and its just back to how it was pre health boost. the flinch nerf probably helps but its not insanely noticeable.
