  • In this second part of a three part series, I show you how to drill stainless without burning up your bits. Many people struggle with this due to using a corded high speed drill.

This is a great walk through for people not used to working with metal. Thanks man.

Thanks for the great video. I am going to drill three 11 gal SS brew tuns/pots tomorrow and was nervous about it until I saw this video. Thanks for being very informative and accurate!

Those Chinese step drills really do work great I’ve used them for 5/8 holes in 3/8 cold rolled tow bars. Excellent tutorial. For extreme precision in cutting stainless kettle holes, try a carbide tipped hole saw. You would think it was laser cut

Ive heard a few people say that the conduit punch is the best way but the Greenlee ones are ridiculously expensive here in Australia. I mean $100+ (thats buying from overseas. Probably twice that if you can find them retail) to make one or 2 holes. The cheaper option is the Q.Max punches. about a 3rd the price. They use a hex key. Has anyone tried them? Thanks for the vid by the way Bobby. Watched it about 20 times lol.

How are you able to punch through so quickly with that 1/8" bit? Is it a special stainless bit? I can barely make a dent in mine using every type of bit I have. You make it look so easy!

What about putting the temperature probe outside the pot completely in a T fitting? Or is that just possible on the mash pot with circulating wort?

Bobby great video! Hey, what size Greenlee Knock out punch should I use if I'm going to silver solder a half inch nipple to a pot or keg? Thanks.
