OVERPRICED JUNK! The one i looked at still came with projection headlights. The led headlights are not standard as on other makes. My 2017 T680 is junk. Maybe i got a lemon, but it has pushed me away from owning another T680. Paccar engine I have zero issues with, the electrical in mine is horrible.
When the electronic components are made somewhere other than China I'd start considering some of the new tech. But because I know the scam that is China and especially when it comes to electronics ill steer clear. Right now automakers can't even put their vehicles to sale because no one is getting ECM from the distributors lol. They've been making chips as usual they are just playing economic games. Nope anything with a single component made in China I'm out. China is ash hoe
I recall having a lot of electrical issues as well with a T680 I drove for an O/O. I loved the truck design and comfort(his had air bags on the front axle) but the electrical is a big turn off.
@@eddieo8706 I'm the same, love the design and layout. I just spent 5k on this. All electrical crap. Yeah, it's up for sale. Kenworth should be ashamed of putting this T680 on the road.

Why would a trucker buy an automatic those damn things break down so often. Next, Paccar has been horrible with DEF, absolute horror show for break down and down time. Has this issue been fix? Sure is a pretty truck, but grass burners make me nervous. I honestly do not know if it is reasonable but I prefer the exhaust to be high above my nose.
The upright stacks are pretty (when chromed) but heavier and expensive. The MX13 is on the order of 400 lbs. lighter than the cummins, but only serviceable at a Paccar shop. The new automatics are very reliable though more expensive to fix when broke.
@@frankswain9483 I know you are right, those beautiful chromed stacks are great to see, but behind my sleeper unattractive stacks get that exhaust way above my nose too LOL The newer Automatics still breakdown 100s of times more often than a manual. They do not give as good fuel economy either. Next who enjoys trying to hook a trailer in the winter with them. I did not know the new automatics were more expensive to fix. $$$$ wasted on them rather than train a trucker to be a trucker. that is my ancient trucker thought. The MX13 may be 400 lbs lighter and it is still junk (in my mind anyway) because they crap out with DEF far too often. The down time kills profitability even if they warranty fixes it each time. I believe weight is king most of the time, but Paccar needs to fix this maybe if they gave me a new Paccar in my next rig I'd take it but they'd have to give me a computer to force a DEF regen as well Have a great weekend bro
Well if you don’t handle automatic properly of course you will damage it. I drove automatic over 900 000 miles only thing I changed clutch in 490 000 thats all. Paccar improved engine and def, Paccar engine is lighter and quiet. Best fuel economy and more reliable. Cummins engine more powerful but it is heavy loud and not much fuel economy you get.

Kenworth makes a great truck, bad automatic transmission. They can't get out of their own way. Terrible. Volvo's auto trans is much better, and more responsive. If I were to purchase a Paccar product, I'd skip the automatic, and go with a manual trans.

I can understand drivers don’t want to shift gears the city or rush hour traffic but me I can deal with it I despise automatic gearbox in a large truck I love shifting a big truck but I cannot drive a manual trans in a car or pickup LOL hey what the heck so what I want to suggest for those drivers that get lost in multi speed shifting how about the old reliable 5 or 6 or 7 speeds no repeating shift pattern no tricky range change & no tricky gear splitting no getting lost in the gears strate shifting transmissions good solid safe dependable and it’s a manual it gives you your dignity as a professional driver you get to keep your self respect when you look at yourself in the mirror in the mornings
T 680 🔥🫵🏾 the most comfortable & roomie truck on the road OTR
If they were so keen on aerodynamics, they get shot of those hood mirrors and use cameras....personal choice,i'd still keep door mirrors though. Everything you stick on your truck costs fuel, sun visors, aerials even!
Put up against 379 Peterbilt with a cat 😺 no chance for t680. But it looks nice yes. But 200k why? What makes it worth that. You can get a custom 389 Peterbilt cheaper. Just a thought. Lose the def man 😂
Canadian dollars!
Would you choose this over a W900 or W990?
I agree with Brian a nice paint job would make her very attractive
How much it costs?
With they came in manual.
You can get a manual. It's cheaper than the auto shift, too.
@@wheelburnerexpress I don't like them. I like having control over the gears. As long as you aren't driving like a dumbass your fuel mileage will be fine.
Shifting gears is part of trucking. Makes it a lot more enjoyable.
My dream to driving truck.
Make it a reality!
My company has 150 2020s. They are trading them in. To many issues and horrible down time. Electrical issues as you said
When the electronic components are made somewhere other than China I'd start considering some of the new tech.
@@thejasongenovaarmwrestling1520 I share your opinion of china, but probably 6 - 7 of the next 10 things you use/touch came from china.
Saw one of these a couple days ago on the road, thought it was styled by beavers with that stupid chrome grill. Maybe tone down all the chrome on that grill cause it looks silly, considering how sleek/unadorned the rest of the rig looks
Nice truck, too bad it’s a paccar, a Cummins would of been so much better
With that MX13 it's good under warranty only. After that it's over.
Cummins is available if you prefer.
@@frankswain9483 I know you are right, those beautiful chromed stacks are great to see, but behind my sleeper unattractive stacks get that exhaust way above my nose too LOL
The newer Automatics still breakdown 100s of times more often than a manual.
I believe weight is king most of the time, but Paccar needs to fix this maybe if they gave me a new Paccar in my next rig I'd take it but they'd have to give me a computer to force a DEF regen as well
Have a great weekend bro
Well if you don’t handle automatic properly of course you will damage it. I drove automatic over 900 000 miles only thing I changed clutch in 490 000 thats all. Paccar improved engine and def, Paccar engine is lighter and quiet. Best fuel economy and more reliable. Cummins engine more powerful but it is heavy loud and not much fuel economy you get.
@@samirkasimov4934 what a fool thing to say.
@@vitaquasus1120 What ever you don't know is a fool think to say. Did you ever had a new generation auto trans truck? Did you ever had a Paccar engine for hundreds thousands of miles? NO, of course not.
Do INTERNATIONAL LT
Haha, we'll check it out!
I've been thinking of a career change and want to buy my own truck and start my own authority. I want a brand new truck because I have crunched the numbers and that seems to be the way to go for me. Only one problem: Where the HECK do you buy a new truck these days?!?! I've been looking at the T680 and I know there are shortages of a lot of things, but never thought this would be one of them. Anyone care to comment on this?
Looks a little better than its predecessor... Kenworth should get rid of bull face design on front... They should learn from international drop-nose trucks
International = ShitterNational
@@hayzeproductions7093 are you sure! ... Have you ever drove latest model? Do you know Volkswagen? Including Scania/ Audi/ Bentley/Bugatti/Cupra/Ducati/Lamborghini/Porsche/Škoda and others .. Helping navistar international to make better trucks!
@@Anti-Incorrect im honestly thinking about flicking a match in the fuel tank of my volkswagen at this point. Dpf filter plugged 30k miles out of warrenty. And also went in for the emissions recall before filter failed.
3k for new dpf filter.
Sign me up Ronen...
Ha! Yes Tim!!
Warning drivers: fuel tank and def are the same place 🙈🙈🙈
If you can't recognize each tank you should leave your driving license on the desk before you get out.
It does have brake pads …no shoes 😆
Disc brakes on the truck and trailer are the only way to go
I don’t understand why anybody gets hyped over new trucks, unless they’re a company driver. But for the small owner-op, they’re just a huge waste of money. The standard heated headlight lenses are funny - because the faddish LEDs don’t produce heat, but the heating elements are just one more gadget to crap out.
like the video
Better not get one before me I'll be lol
Killer !!
😎😎
Did you see the Dash , it
s a Computer and if it goes down your in the Sh*%
Hello
Hello 👋🏼
Paccar 13 works way harder than the X15
Mack Anthem?
If I chose a truck color actually any color my order is RED/RedVine Drak Blue Black /Red or
White andBlack
Kw..where brake downs and tow trucks go together like a horse and carriage
Kenworth makes a great truck, bad automatic transmission. They can't get out of their own way. Terrible. Volvo's auto trans is much better, and more responsive. If I were to purchase a Paccar product, I'd skip the automatic, and go with a manual trans.
Kenworth doesn't make the transmission! The transmissions are sourced from a third party manufacturer same as with Volvo, Freightliner, International,.....etc.
True . My truck has been in shop over 2 months can't get parts.will never buy kw or Pete. Again
@@DavidJones-hr9bn I don't care who makes the transmissions, all I know is they're terrible if you need to get moving quickly. We slip seat at my work, so I've driven both the Pete & the KW versions, and they respond the same. SLOW! The rest of the tractor is great. Good visibility, comfortable. Just that trans makes me want to avoid the truck.
Lol if kenworth sees these videos buddy not reviewing another truck
