Connecting Bengaluru to Mangalore is more important. Need expressway...all goods and material gets imported and exported to Bangalore via Mangalore port only...moreover beach tourism is very much needed to Bangalore to connect Mangalore
How can a small stretch be a express highway? Do u know what is express highway? There will be atleast 6-8 lanes in width 3 or 4 on either side. At present sakleshpura - shiradi- bantawal has 2 lanes. U guess what gonna happen if u increase the width. Its a cakewalk to real estate worms they will destroy western ghats beauty in the name of resorts, villas etc...

Very good information... NICE Road ppl are really looting the public... just for 41 kms, Rs 180 is the toll that too only one way, there is no monthly pass or two way pass.. every time, one has to buy 1 way ticket. All politicians irrespective of parties are involved in this loot .
Let us be fair .govt has not invested any tax payers money in the nice ring road.entire expenditure has borne by nice.obviously they have to charge more.

He had promised to build completely a concrete road but all in all just 11 km is with concrete ,rest all with regular asphalt. Also, there is no lighting on the highway though it almost runs inside the city now. When he completely dumped the development, why he has to collect so much of money? Devegowda is the biggest beneficiary and also the road block for this project.. Devegowda was responsible for destroying this project too

Any idea if NH275 Will have seamless connectivity to NICE Road at Kengeri? I mean can a vehicle start from electronic city, pay a single toll and reach Mysore? Given the traffic, you need to wait 15 to 20 mins to get on to nice road at ECity during peak time. It does not wait once more at the toll to get on to NH275.

Wow I didn’t know that. I think the gave up on the NICE project and are switching over to Mysore road area. They are making 10 lane (6 lane expressway plus two of 2 lane service roads) Mysore expressway. They are pouring all of the money into metro and and suburban rail now, maybe that’s why. Travel time between mysore and Bangalore between peak time is approx 3.5 hrs, the present work to expand and bypass all towns along the route will decrease travel time to only 30-45 mins only! So after completion of extension of the highway travel time will be approx 3 hours and not 1.5 hours as u have mentioned! Covering 140 kms in 1.5 hours on any Indian Highway is impossible but possible only if all vehicles travel between 100-120 kms per hour! So plz correct.
Last month I travelled to banglore in this same higway route(not nice road) the work is almost done there is not much left to do other than bridges the expressway will be made soon......

Bro, Hindi is not a mother tongue, it is a very new language, don't have any literature, It uses literature of languages like Awadhi, Brhij, Marwadi,...... saying them as dialects of Hindi, but they are not, Hindi is a second language just for connectivity with other north India states. Great video. Very nicely explained. Most of our country's projects used to get delayed because of politics and corruption. Now, NHAI is doing good work with PPP model, especially under Nitin Gadkari as RT & H Minister.
PRR has got delayed as BDA has lied about the environmental impact. The solution is not to keep building ring roads but invest on Suburban Rail and build commuter towns with green spaces inbetween. These projects will kill an already dying city..
Many people here are commenting that many farmers will lose their land and Devegowda has helped them by putting the brakes on the project. But it was Devegowda who himself approved the project after settling for some X amount in return. He knew first hand how much land and how many villages would be taken up for the project. But once the project progressed the land prices around shot up by 4 to 5 times. This fact could not be digested by Devegowda and demands were put to Kheny for more money. When Kheny declined to oblige, Gowda instigated many farmers to file lawsuits against Kheny. It's as simple as that. Gowda is no saint or sanyasi.
Bangalore is the city of Toll....I have travelled a lot around India...but Bangalore has highest tolls some even within a distance of 1 km. Also only city I saw where even 2 wheelers have to pay toll...
Company should not build such large project single handedly. Partnership is must to finance such large project. Govt.support & easy land acquisition,& settlement is must to boost development.

No after completion it will become expressway and you will be able to easily drive at speed of 100-120 .. So 1.5 hour estimation is totally correct

Bro, Hindi is not a mother tongue, it is a very new language, don't have any literature, It uses literature of languages like Awadhi, Brhij, Marwadi,...... saying them as dialects of Hindi, but they are not, Hindi is a second language just for connectivity with other north India states.
Regional languages are spoken with parents, friends and locals.
I am from Rajasthan, Studying in IISC Bangalore, I have also learnt Kannada due to kannada friends. 👍👍👍

PRR has got delayed as BDA has lied about the environmental impact. The solution is not to keep building ring roads but invest on Suburban Rail and build commuter towns with green spaces inbetween. These projects will kill an already dying city..
Many people here are commenting that many farmers will lose their land and Devegowda has helped them by putting the brakes on the project. But it was Devegowda who himself approved the project after settling for some X amount in return. He knew first hand how much land and how many villages would be taken up for the project. But once the project progressed the land prices around shot up by 4 to 5 times. This fact could not be digested by Devegowda and demands were put to Kheny for more money. When Kheny declined to oblige, Gowda instigated many farmers to file lawsuits against Kheny. It's as simple as that. Gowda is no saint or sanyasi.
Bangalore is the city of Toll....I have travelled a lot around India...but Bangalore has highest tolls some even within a distance of 1 km.
Also only city I saw where even 2 wheelers have to pay toll...

Probably not Mysore has good wide roads! Hopefully they'll make more bypasses, grade seperators before the population of traffic rises
