I’m still on season 6 bc I simply CANT continue and it’s been two months. It’s so sad to see her downfall😭Sure they wanted to make her character relatable, but they definitely overcompensated.
I still like Rory I will never stop liking her but because at the other day it showed that life doesn’t always turn out the way you planned and that’s what they kind of showed in the revival and that’s what they kind of showed with her character because she’s the one that you think will fully make it but at the same time it just shows no matter what life doesn’t always turn out that way how hard you’re willing to work I mean it’s not fully Roy’s fault it was also grandmothers I think because she always try to handed everything to her and always giving her a way out

@@pink-uv3th a great life? She lost her job and she’s homeless constantly switching between her friend’s homes, she had full knowledge that dean had a wife and still slept with him, she became prejudice and all around had a very terrible down fall
@@lverslane820 which is a pretty common outcome for those high school over achievers. they often put to much pressure on themself, or others do that.
and than they crumble under that pressure.

paris on the other hand was an over achiever and still did well. its not necessary for over achievers to have a downfall like rory's
@@heyitskc192 yeah exactly she failed to realize that she wasn't special and broke under the pressure of her own expectations to be special.
and i would say most of the time the over achievers are at least moderately successful. but sometimes they can't handle the pressure they or other put on them and have a brake down.

Everybody thinks Rorys downfall was bad writing.
This is a child that was brought up by a single parent who started out as a maid, didn’t have a good relationship with her father until her teens, and he eventually left, got in touch with her grand parents at 16 and STILL MANAGED TO HAVE GOOD GRADES, NOT HAVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE ISSUES, or any other volatile behaviors.
Y’all really think her past would have had no effect on her?
I think her story line was perfect. The effects of her past trauma had be visible in her life choices at some point. Nobody who goes through all that comes out emotionally stable and decisive. And Rory managed to be the best she could throughout her childhood. I’d say her growth arc was realistic.
The main problem with her was being spoiled by everyone and she never held her privilege accountable

@FlyingMonkies325 I don’t think she will end up with Logan. I think she will end up with Jess in the future. Rory has a lot of abandoned issues especially with men ( thanks Christopher!) and Jess does too so they seems to be the most compatible but like her mom she needs to make something of herself before making those commitments. I’m currently doing a rewatching for the Fall!
I just feel like her "downfall" happened because she never allowed herself to make mistakes when she was young and how everyone around her treated her like an angel who could do no wrong and she has mentioned it when everyone blamed jess for the accident and it annoyed her that everyone thinks she could never make a mistake and i think that really messed with her and i think her dropping out of yale era was just her being severely burnt out . she worked so hard her entire life and it's okay to feel lost at some point but she got so villainized for it. It's really sad
