Amberg is a beautiful gem between Nuremberg and Regensburg and smack in the middle of USAG Bavaria (Graf, Vilseck and Hohenfels). The city is one of the most picturesque in the region and hosts many Americans and their families from the garrisons. The dialect "Oberpfalz" is beautiful and Mike's curry level 12 will peel the rind off a potato - no joke. All your visits/food spots I frequent living here and they are ALL excellent eats. Bavarian Village? Amberg has 45,000+ inhabitants and greater Amberg-Sulzbach-Rosenberg-Kummersbruck has 75,000 inhabitants; not a village by any means. Anyway, a very nice video
Miss the old times when the Rose Barracks were in Amberg. Had a lot of fun and beers with the soldiers. They brought us cheep cigarettes and gas coupons and we gave them weed :)
