It's not healthy for fish
So you do what all good aquarists do, add some aquarium salt, and add crushed coral substrate if the water is too acidic.

I think the water is mostly for kids it teaches them responsibility. They are able to clean the tank without really harming the fish since kids may drink the conditioning for the water. This is my theory tho
I just googled it. Its over 8 Ph and very hard. Basically it's just bottled spring or well water. No chemicals, but lots of salts. It would be excellent drinking water, so don't worry about that. To get just as good water, buy reverse osmosis and remineralize with something like Equilibrium. Bettas don't need that high a Ph. My local grocery sells three galloons of reverse osmosis for $2.99 or you can fill your own jugs for 25 cents.

You never want to rinse eco-complete. It comes seeded with bacteria to help your tank cycle. Part of the cloudiness is a bacteria bloom. A couple water changes should clear it up if you haven't done so already.

you can buy Triops almost any where but online is best place to buy they will eat anything but like carrots, bloodworms and plants
hey j, the betta water is likely to be neutral to mildly acidic (7.0 - 6.4); bettas prefer those ph levels. acidic water is not good for human consumption.

Have you considered getting an RO/DI system? I have one and my water quality has increased tremendously! Using tap water and a chemical to remove the chlorine and metals don't work the best. Plus by having an RO/DI system and a water drum to hold the water, you'll save money in the long run and will have better water quality!

I would advise buying one used from someone and then buying new filter for it. that will probably save you a bunch of money!

Omg this is crazy I was just talking about this today I think that it is a waste of money because you can just buy 1 gallon of purified water for 97 cents and just add water conditioner
my bags of Eco-complete did the same thing in my 40. also my fish and shrimp in that tank die after i have had them in it for just under a month, getting ready to break down that tank and toss my Eco-complete. My water is very hard and i think that it is a factor with Eco. since my tanks with gravel are doing fine after 6 months with similar fish in them. The fish that died are a clown pleco, the colony of red cherry shrimp i put in there, a hillstream loach, and 2 albino cories. I think it has some thing to do with how the hard water reacts with the substrate as my water has a TDS of 1200 out of the tap, but not sure what is in it since i have not had a test done on it. Also my water was very cloudy like yours when i first put water in it for 3 weeks doing 30-50% every other day.
I didn’t cycle my Betta Tank what should I do?
Shrimp/ snails will most likely be killed by the pea puffer, especially in a smaller sized tank. The only tank mate that seems to work with a pea puffer are otos but they are pretty delicate or another dp of opposite gender......I've heard some people do have success keeping dp with shrimp, but ime it's best to just do a species tank.
I just got a dumbo halfmoon betta, he doesn't have a name yet, my other betta is a halfmoon and his name is 7! I've been subbed for a while now and you were the inspiration for me to upgrade both my bettas tanks to 5 gallons! I have plans on getting more fish not exactly what kind yet but I'm excited! Keep posting amazing content, it really inspires me to see another young kid just like me getting into the fish hobby!

Get a red blooded parrot fish there fresh water and there like the best fresh water fish I am getting one and I have a 10 gallon tank and you can put them in there there some times aggressive
My pea/dwarf puffers do fine with shrimp. No incidents at all. They are aggressive with each other however.
I always thought betta water is for people that didn't know that you need to by water conditioner when they get fish. Definitely a scam.

Hi! I have a question about a fish tank infestation. Recently, I gave away my beta fish, Akamaru, because I was neglecting him. Somehow, before I gave him away, a snail "spawned" in there or something. After I gave Akamaru away, I decided to just keep the snail. I never really played attention to the tank until today, when I checked on the snail. I saw 6 snail babies... Those were just the ones in sight. How do I get rid of them?

I use a brita filter water for my beta fish. I make one that will work and filter a 5 gallon bottle, since I have 6 beta tanks to clean. Brita water tests great for them

I must admit I really enjoy your videos, i like your enthusiasm. ALLTHO: A betta tank (or pretty much any tank in smaller-medium sizes) doesn't need filtrationsystem/pump, chemicals or heater (depending on your indoor temperature ofc, i need them during the winter), if you just know how to treat your tank correctly. Key is to have a good soil/sand, in a thick layer where all the bacteria can "live" and do its work. Together with good plants and correct animals (Ramshorn snails and shrimp will do all your cleaning) you wont need anything but water in your tank. I dont use any machines or chemicals in any of my tanks, and everything is doing more than fine. Everything is extremely healthy. All plants and moss are growing great, aswell as all the animals i keep. All fish i put into breeding produces eggs/fry. You should give it a try on a nanotank. Thanks and keep the videos comming!
Could you do a video specifically on cleaning sand because I recently changed my 10 gallon from gravel to sand and I'm not too confident in cleaning it.

betta water is pointless. They are tough fish. Just use your tap and treat it with a few drops, or buy decent distilled or alkaline water. Make sure they are warm and have space and places to hide. Then just filter and/or refresh the water as time goes by. This product is a waste of money.

Dude, you gave me the best idea. I honestly doubt there's anything harmful in that betta water, so I want to go to Wal-Mart and buy one of those, and drink it in a public place. Like at school or something.

Hey challenge the wild i live in Singapore a tropical country so do I need heaters for my tanks which have guppies betta panda Cory horn snails and some Yamato shrimps
I depends on the temperature of the water sometime the temp lowers during the night.

Bruh... why'd you drink it? There might be chemicals added to that to minimize stress to the fish that might not necessarily be for human consumption. Lol I want to see a vid on how you cycle your tanks. Do you test your own water or do you bring a sample to a pet store?
