  • Hi! I am TANGO. I am back on the field to practice my shots at 50 yards (45.72 meters) and 60 yards (54.86 meters). I decided to score my practice on a National round. The national round is an archery round where the archer shoots at two distances 50 yards and 60 yards on a 122cm target face. The archer begins shooting 4 dozen arrows at 60 yards, then moves on to 50 yards to shoot another 2 dozen. That is 72 arrows in total.
The archer will shoot 6 arrows at one end and score them. The national round uses an imperial scoring system. It is scored according to the coloured ring the arrow landed on the target's face. Yellow is 9 points, red is 7 points, blue is 5 points, black is 3 points, white is 1 point and no points when the arrow misses the target.
I've increased my draw weight to 52.5lbs from 51.5lbs. I am trying to get new sight marks, practice my form, and minimise the inconsistencies in my shots.
I must remind myself to centre my peep to the scope and have my back in the right posture. I have to pull back my release arm when triggering the shot.
I've also tried to capture my shot process using different angles. I hope to use it for my own analysis and improve my shoot.
There will be a club competition on the weekend where we will be shooting a Western round. Stay tuned for more updates.
