Brenda you shouldn't feel weird when talking about yourself! Your job is intertwined with your personality and taste and it's so intriguing! I appreciate you giving out this info about behind the scenes management and fashion events
I loved this episode, I believe as a gen z er that we all view ourselves somewhat as micro influencers and it can be very weird and exhausting at times, so listening to all of this really rings the bell that this is an actual job for people so if it’s not your job and you’re not looking forward for it to be, then you can take it easy and be chill about it
i think talking about your accomplishments and work is not cringe, even as someone who recently began following you, i am so proud of you and thank you so much for doing this!
thank you!!!! I find it cringe talking about "worth" because of course it is a pretty vain field of work that I am in and calculating the worth of.a person sounds so strange but I have no better ways to describe my job!
@@brendahashtag that is so true! but still, i think talking about your worth in the industry (both Fashion and as a talent), is talking about your strengths as an individual and literally your talent and accomplishments, which can understandably come off as cringe (thanks to the 90s showing-effort-is-cringe), but it shouldn’t! idk it just makes me sad seeing how passionate you are about everything you do, and seeing you thinking about it coming off as cringe :((
@@brendahashtag and in a way, almost every industry has vane roots, and just because art and fashion mix it with aesthetics and visual language doesn’t make it any less, if it makes sense xd anyways, thank you for episode!!
incredibly insightful as always. do you think you could talk about how you built your platform from scratch and how to grow and strategize in earlier stages of becoming an influencer? would be super helpful :)
Love this episode so much Brenda! I am in my first year in fashion school and I would like to know if you have any strategy tips on promoting my work and finding my audience.
Dear Brenda, First of all, thank you so much for your work and for sharing a lot of valuable insights. This episode inspired me for a question, if I’m allowed to ask: When it comes to reviews of your work, for example in some companies there are yearly work reviews, where in fact you just in a position of judgment of your employer, what kind of strategy are you using in such situations? Maybe you have some thoughts on this matter or maybe in your field you don’t really have this “overlook” of you as a journalist/media person. In any ways it is overlapping with another episode about self value, but talking about strategic thinking and planning, I was very curious about your opinion. Thank you so much in advance if you will find time and space for this question, if not, I will also understand. Wishing all the best, Your supporter Daria
wow that's an interesting thing to think about, I do in fact never really get reviews on anything. however if repeatedly jobs turn into one off jobs where the client doesn't book me again I guess that would be my hint?
would love a whole podcast about your interior design taste and approach
