Update: I cleaned up the paint and gave it a new paint job. Also opened it up, plenty of dead spiders and dust. Started making a weird rattling noise a few weeks after i got it, i realised it was the bearing of the cooling fan that was wearing out. Lubricated it and it's running great :), also cut the leads and put dinse connectors so i can use any leads i want, i'll replace them eventually.
That Lincoln welder wasn't box wasn't in that great of shape. Hope there isn't any problems. I'm going to but the Lincoln Tombstone welder soon. Haven't used one since High School, I just turned 47 and I might in role into welding school in the next few months. Want to practice before I start my school.
That's true, some issues did arise recently, i'll have to open it up and take a look. It still welds fine though, it just trips the breaker sometimes at 145 amps (it used to be fine at 225) so i'll have to investigate.

The AC225 is the best welder machine ever built
Agreed, mine is around 60 years old and runs beautifly.
Actually the Lincoln Idealarc 250 is a much better welder but for the money the 225 is good.
Question. Now if I run 6010 and 7018 rods which are DC+. Will I find a difference? And can this machine run 6010 with no problem
The sound on your video is corrupted. I am guessing you use a GoPro to video. Mine does the same thing........ie....GoPro sucks!
Dont forget eyes protection glasses 8 14
Gotcha bro, i've had some BAD experiences not wearing glasses chipping slag. It's no joke, you can seriously hurt yourself.
You are way too young to be welding that good.
thanks man
Strike the ark not tap the rod
Either striking it like a match or tapping it is acceptable. Tapping the rod works better for re-strikes to break the flux off the rod.
@@MiklthePikl I just at starting the arc so I just take it out and,tap it on the table real quick and put it back in

@@MiklthePikl You might want to have a electrian check out the breaker also and switch some breaker's.
@@WestCoastFront It's working great now :)
