  • Born from the thriving Asheville music scene, Eleanor Underhill and Friends banded together in 2014 to create music that would entertain the dancer and the listener alike. With genre-bending grooves, thoughtful original compositions, and cover songs you would never expect from a banjo-fronted band, they create a sound that blends elements of Americana, world, pop, jazz, reggae, and acoustic rock. Unafraid to launch from Radiohead's Creep into TLC's Creep and back again, Eleanor Underhill and Friends thrives on experimentation and boundary-pushing.
Eleanor Underhill, singer, songwriter, and banjo player, is best known from her work with Americana-folk group Underhill Rose. Christopher Chappell Pyle, drummer and percussionist, toured the world over with Royal Trucks, Soulgrass Rebellion, The Get Right Band and most recently The Artimus Pyle Band and Chappell. Zack Page is a mainstay in the Asheville music scene, lending his upright bass talents to The Page Brothers, One Leg Up, regional jazz jams, and countless other notable acts. Eleanor Underhill and Friends features guests from the Asheville music scene at most shows, so you never know what surprises await.
