was remembering my grandfather, he always had horehound candy. i might have tried it once, but don't remember. my grandmother always pulled out a butterscotch hard candy for us every time we visited. they weren't my favorite, but it is a good memory.

My grandmother used to bring us horehound candy every time she went out of town to church. But the one's you have are coated. The original ones back in the day were just a slim piece of candy about 4 inches long and it was kind of clear to where you could almost see through it. I remember the chocolate cover peanuts and chocolate covered cherries and cases of fruit we would get for Christmas. Back when food was purer...those were the days. 😊

I was considering making this “HOREHOUND OLD TIMERS COUGH SYRUP” but the cheapest I could find was $70AUD delivered may have to give it a skip. I use this flavor and peppermint as ingredients in my old time cough syrup. Which works well. I was a sweet tooth as a kid and my grandmother had a candy bowl too. They aren't to everyone's taste but I enjoy them and other candies that some others don't care for like black licorice. Thank you for the video

I think horehound candy is very sick tasting. I can't believe anybody would like that.
