Really enjoyed your take on Please Please Me. That's such a quintessential "guitar" song that doesn't really get recognized as such nowadays.
Dude in the white shirt at 8:57 : "Does anybody work here? Hello? Ah screw it."
Greg I stood there like that quite a few times. They’re usually so busy and/or recording GOTD that I’ve stood there like an idiot waiting to try out a guitar or an amp.
I haven’t been there since Mark was still the sales manager. I really have to get down there. Lemmo is a mind blowingly-talented guitar player and he seems like a really cool guy. I’m just trying to come up with a way to justify to my wife that I need another guitar. It isn’t in the budget at the moment. Hell, there’s no room for a Squier in the budget right now! 😂
Lmao that’s me
I thought those people were GOTD props.
@@rocketmann8660 Like, metaphorically or literally?
Greg...lol,so funny....I seen him before I read your comment
What an inspiring guitar and the usual inspiring and creative playing by Michael Lemmo! Great job dude 👍👏
Rick makes some great stuff.. I didn't like them in my younger days. Purchased a 330 in fireglo about 5 years ago. Outstanding build quality...
That binding is SICK!!!
Damn, I missed this yesterday (got home late, and up early for work) but my word, what a lovely beast!! I've always had a soft spot for Rickenbaker's, mostly my passion for their bass guitars but I have never seen a six string like this!! I love the shape and of course the demo was absolutely lovely, thank you Mr. Lemmo!! Jen those down the neck shots from the headstock just do me in, wonderfully shot, young Lady!! Looking forward to some "Edibles" tomorrow evening!!
Michael, this Rik, seems to suit you well, never heard the picking style sound this good. What an Axe. Great playing......🍁
I wish you *could* have that guitar, because you really do it justice. This is one of my personal favorites of Rickenbacker demos on UA-cam. Thank you for not going down the same path that many Ric demos go down, song-wise. Creative with a personal touch and different. Really liked the intro, I don't recognize it (if it's a real song) but reminds me of Wes Montgomery at times.. Liked all the playing, actually. A fine job!
Love your version of please please me. Wonderful playing.
Woah dude that first jam was so creative!
Great demo Lemmo. I'm saving this one in my "lessons" file to try to learn the arrangements on the Please Please Me and Twist & Shout. Wish Lemmo did lesson vids.
Greg that would be amazing
What a great arrangement, impressive and great guitar 👌👏😎
Beatiful guitar, buy it Lemmo , that guitar suits your playing and sounds incredible . Keep it on the family
. Kisses Jen
This guitar is amazing.
I love it Lemmo ! Thanks Jen ! :-)
That sounds magical and looks sick
Must be coming up to pay review time! Lemmo’s knocking it out of the park with his playing...
Very nice Michael! Thank you. 👍👍✌🏼
Really nice guitar, great sound and cool design.
Absolute dream guitar
AweSoMe guitar! Enjoyed!
Oh man what a great opportunity to play some TP and The HB especially as he was such a major friend of the store!!! PS or even some REM :-)
Good stuff, it’s clear that this guitar inspires you 🎸😀
Pretty guitar ! Thanks !!
That’s a pretty Ricky. I miss my 67 360/12 mapleglo. If we are talking rare, weird and obscure ricks,it doesnt get much rarer than the rick 700c/12 acoustic. I’d love to have one of those. I’ve always loved the look of the solid/slothead combo of the 12 string ricks.
Dang, that last one was pretty, good stuff, appreciate it!
German carve top and back..definitely some work involved in putting a Ric together.
Rocky Top Relics ricks are American
Ace ..the type of carve on the top and back is called a German carve. But thanks for the info
There's nothing German about it.
ClockCutter nope.. just the carve.
@@ClockCutter With all due respect Mr. Clockcutter, the gentlemen who designed the 300 series Rickenbacker guitars (as well as the 4000 series basses) was a German Luthier named Roger Rossmeisl. This is the model 381 with the distinctive "German Carve" top and back and is Rickenbacker's flagship guitar model.
Gotta get one of those!
Nice tone on this one-- well done.
I love this 381, better I think with Toasters yet the Black(Jet Glow Nov 69) is very cool!
Looks a bit like my Rainsong haha 😆 as usual Lemmo I watch you to learn 👍🏻🖖
One of my all time fav sounds is a Ricky through an AC30. Classic Pairing
love Rickies
John would be so proud. I'd love to buy this one but out of my pay grade.
John & George would approve.
Nice playing ML!
Killed it
Another amazing and fun GOTD. Lemmo..Edibles..Jen..you guys really lovr what you do and it shows. I'm going to pick on a technicality though. Lemmo..guitars have output jacks..not input jacks! Guitars=out .. amps=in.
Most beautiful Rickenbacker model by far.
They still make this model, but they produce them in low numbers and they're almost 5000 dollars.
Yeah nice Ric, and nice green lefty Tele in the back ground too
I used to have a 381 just like that. Same color, same pickups. Mine was a ‘72 as I recall, and I bought it in 1990. Great-looking guitar, but it didn’t sound as good as that one! Somebody had used a hammer on the bridge posts to try and get it to intonate with the extra-light strings that were on it. Rickenbacker wouldn’t sell me just the posts, so I replaced the whole bridge, and I had a set of toaster pickups installed as well. I still couldn’t get it to sound like a Ric-it sounded kind of dead, actually. It was gorgeous, though! I’ve played some newer reissues that sounded a lot better.
Great demo as usually lemmo. Was hoping to hear some smiths when I saw you pull that thing out
What was that first jam he did it rocked my soul to its core!!!
I love LEMMO, he is great!!! I have finally come up with a nickname for him. LOOPING LEMMO , what do you think? LEMMO just have fun my brother. And tell nicki that he is definitely a grumpy old man. LOOPING LEMMO ROCKS
Always wanted a Rick. And a Vox, too.
Carlos Guitarlos should be a guest star on guitar of the day
🙏👍👍
That would be an episode for the history books lol, I'd love to see that.
Let's start a petition for it
wId Frankie da Stallone
Carlos or Frank as a guest.
Lovely clean tones from all three positions. Great playing - but of course!
Nice!!
such a cool guitar , and a great sound , and it's black , tho I though you said they were high output p/u's , maybe should have cranked them out a bit more , still I luv the classic Ric sound , and I luv the Beatles , great set , well done , weird is good. thanks guys.
Lemmo is a great guitar Player!!! Great Job! I know your family and relatives are proud of you!!!!!
They made a lot of different numbers like 330 jetglo and such.a lot of 3 pickup versions.and 12-string s
Only a guitar can have the back on the opposite side of the top and it still makes sense.
I approve.
How many hours a day does he practice?
That’s a phat sounding guitar!
Those early hi gains sound so good. They're not consistent in how they were made. Some years, early '80s, had intentionally weak bridge pickups.
Cool shirt
Looks like a John Kay from Steppenwolf without the Sig. Killer axe..
g mat John Kay played a 381. His signature model was based on it.
His signature model IS a 381. The 381JK
I loved the take on please please me
Good to see a Rick for a change! Love a unique brand! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Henderson ?
@@LimitWHK for inlays alone, yes
Tone I'll have to get back to you!
Hey dude! It is almost impossible to pick up a Rickenbacker and not jam The Beatles and of course, the one and only Tom Petty!
I have a Ric 320. I pretty much warm up playing Beatles because it's fun as hell to play on a Ric.
Always liked the Rickenbacker look. This one sounds good too, or maybe it's the player? Probably both.
Yup. Definitely both. 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm always so curious to know more about the history of some of these classic guitars you show. The really nice guitars with fretboard wear and buckle wear etc...... Any way you could give more previous owner history on these guitars? If you know them.
I’m hoping to buy one in maple glow.
What is the first sonf
Siren Records Loves NRG!
When is the All Guitar Network going to start posting vids?
Nice Axe
Are them high output pickups? I would think was shipped with toasters, I dunno.
I commented the same thing…
Sometime in about 1968 or 69 is when the switch happened I think. It may have been the early 70s and those were swapped in.
This model originally had high gains, but the new model 381v69 ships with toasters.
I’ve never seen a ‘69 Ric without “toaster” pickups - and I’ve owned a few. The high-output pickups, as far as I know, didn’t come out until mid-70s. Good chance this guitar was modified later. You should check with Rickenbacker to be sure.
Apparently, I was mistaken. Some high-output pickups were around as early as 1968. See:
www.guitarhq.com/rick.html
@@drglennb Right - the 381 came with higains from the beginning.
BLACK 69 RICK - HI JEN
Is the second one a jam by Lemmo or something else, I swear I've heard something like it before
Ron Swanson's Good Ear Rape Channel It’s a Megadeth song. I forget the name.
Smashing Pumpkins, "Tonight, Tonight"
Did the camera get a new voice actor, sounds off
I would have loved to hear a Jefferson Airplane song with that, but hey it's Hump Day ✌️
Well I hope you found somebody to love. 😁
I'm puzzled why you would put a pickup selector switch right in line with the stroke of the right hand.
So you can switch pickups with that hand, buddy. Practice on your strumming and you won't hit the switch unintentionally. Don't be a caveman
@@scottestes7768..you're absolutely right...some guitar you just have to actually learn how to play it rather than just playing it..hope that made since, lol
@@scottestes7768 Fair enough, I just thought it might be vulnerable to accidental switching. However, as you point out, I suppose if you have the manual skills to play, it is an easily learned skill to avoid it, while having it "to hand". :-)
@@wesleyalan9179 It did make sense, see my reply to Scott. I am thoroughly told off :-)
@@flamencoprof ...lol✌✌
well hello
On a Rick you should be playing some rem.
Here's the thing: at the end of every video you say, "Come check out this guitar on NormansRareGuitars.com," but all of them never get posted. Where's this one? Where's the '79 Jazzmaster? Enquiring minds want to see photos and know how much these beasts cost so we may purchase them.
Lemmo. Another great demo. How about some loud and some distortion. Rics sound great thru RH POD or FOXROX OCTRON EMULATING 12 STRING.
Nice, but theres this one thing I need to know, does Jen play guitar
Stone Brandon No.
Is it me or does the double cut shape look like Pac-Man?
What are the two output jacks for?
Edward Hart it’s like a stereo sound I believe
Left and right channels for stereo I guess
Mono and stereo output I do believe.
@@j.mshrader4104 Exactly.

lemmo should release tabs for everything he plays
Why? He's playing it right in front of you. Train your ears, you'll be better off for it.
tiny b already doing that, i just prefer tabs
can I have it?
so this has 2 outputs shouldn't Mr. Lemmo have used them in some fashion, I assume the sound is a bit different from each one? (clues? thank you)
The guitar has two outputs because you can use it in stereo mode with two amps at the same time and if you want different settings in each of them.
@@diegolopezlira3267 Thank you...
Last: Twist And Lemmo
Ur not weird.....
No gain on the high-gain pickups???
I'm missing the Jags and the Mustangs. Cool Rick though.

Michael>Mark in every way
I don’t think it’s really fare to compare like that. I enjoyed both immensely.
I don’t think Mark knew he was going to have to do the Gibson commercial like that when he signed up. Bad look. Still love him tho.
Lemme does have mad skills.
Another great Lemmo Demmo!
Do you suppose that Jen thinks about his D while she's filming?
Kelly Clark probably more often than we think. She probably has a thing for him
@@josephgrant757 but do you suppose she thinks about "it"?
Kelly Clark it wouldn’t suprise me. I think i can see a small spark igniting between those two
Kelly Clark Yes. Women are worse that guys in worse than guys in that respect.
Joseph Grant Ummm, Michael is out of her league. Plus, Jen acted the same way towards Mark. The problem there was that Mark’s wife is nearly flawless.
Never did like rics and this has not changed my mind
Rics aren't bad...how can anyone be a guitarist and not like some of them...a real guitarist likes them all..a real guitarist would Rock ANY guitar ,ANYTIME ,ANY Day...you sound like a guitar snob...being a guitar snob isn't cool man..lighten up and have a lil' fun..and stop hating on Rics man✌✌
Try the wangcaster guitar
@@DanielGarcia-oq3li..lol
Jen knockin’ Lemmo has got to stop.
Hey Mike, your normal looking with a good personality and good voice don’t knock yourself, leave that up to a$$holes they make it a life’s mission. Kindness is weird not all people can pull it off. Ric looked way to chunky for lead
You make my least fav guitar sound good, damn.
George Chapogas why is that ur least favorite? I've always thought they are amazing
@@user-uq8lw9uw2d never liked the tone.
George Chapogas I’m with you on that. It isn’t versatile sound-wise. It feels and sounds like it’s limited to being a strummer.
The Edge from U2 uses a 360 12-string on 8+ of their songs over the years, but the guy’s setup is so complex that any guitar he plays sounds like him. He tends to use a slide when playing them for single string parts.
I wish Gretsch made a solid body Electric 12-string.
It’s only a rick if it has toaster pickups in my opinion
Then 1/2 of all Ricks dont count I guess, maybe even more
OK Boomer. Good thing your opinion means nothing and has no bearing on reality.
Why can't you pronounce rickenbacker !
