Gig Vlog IV - Time of my life
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 жов 2012
- "Time of my life" played with "FREE STEPS" on October the 19th in the "Hansezelt" in Bremen, Germany during the Freimarkt 2012.
I thought it might be a nice idea to see the differences in my playing from my alternate video taken four years earlier in 2008: • Time of my life - Drum...
Recorded with a ZOOM Q3HD set to "Auto Level - One Way Down". As I am sitting in front of the Hi-Hat - it unfortunately records way less than actually is hearable.

Hello, how is everything? I am from Brazil, precisely from Salvador, Bahia, I enjoy your videos a lot mainly by technique and like turning with clean and very accentuated notes. congratulations susesso!
Hey there Jacome,
Thank you very much.
I am glad you enjoy my playing and videos so much.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to gig very much in times of Corona. But hopefully I will be back on stage and recording new videos very soon.
Greetings to Salvador and keep the groove alive my friend!

Hey Pedro,
Thx a lot. I have been playing this song for ages and still enjoy it. It's a neat and tight groove.
Hello from Mauritius..I really enjoyed your drumming skills..hats off bro!
Abdil Fathemamode: Thx a lot and please do also check out my other Gig-Vlogs. Greetings to the good weather from the ice cold here.
Hi, You ghost notes are incredible, what are you playing in the bridges and choruses?
I'd love to be able to learn that, can you do a video for it on a practice pad or something? Loving the drumming, Thanks
Man that snaredrum sounds clean! Great balanced sound. Is that the standard snare that comes with the Kirchhoff acryl kits? What heads did you use for it?
Great bass in those toms as well and just from a camera microphone I assume. It's almost like they've gotten a bassboost and some compression post-processing, but now in reallife, realtime. Very interested in such a kit. Those acryl kits are just so sexy and underrated compared to wood in my opinion. Relatively affordable too, bit of a midrange price for a shellkit that sounds better than some top of the line 5000 euro+ shellkits in my opinion.
Great playing as well by the way ;)
Hey there,As you assumed, the recording was made with just a ZOOM Q3-HD and all I did in post was to normalise the level to 0 db.I must say, I also love my Kirchhoff Set. Especially in that setting. It is a great Rock/Pop drum-set. When I play more funk/jazz/fusion style music I rather play my Kirchhoff Artist Bubinga set. Mainly because it is more versatile.Unfortunately I must tell you, that my snare is not the standard snare. It is a 13" x 6" Avantgarde Arcylic Sparkle Snare. Which costs a little more than the standard Kirchhoff snare. If you are interested in my equipment set-up, feel free to check it out on this webpage:www.michaelhugh.com/mh/drums.htmlAnyhow, thx for the comment and enjoy the grooves.

sorry, hab grad noch etwas entdeckt...die sängerin hat doch bestimmt matz ausgesucht wegen den dicken hupen :)
Thanks buddy. Do feel free to post a video reply with your version of this song and check out my other videos. I have quite a few cover versions on my youtube channel.
Hi Thomas,
I'll try and make a video of the actual ghost notes that I play in a seperate video. But it might take a while as I am very busy at the moment. And thanks for your comment.
Hey! Du bist ohne Frage ein super Drummer....aber ich finde das du viel tighter und straighter spielen solltest. Meiner Meinung nach ist das alles zu zerhackt. Gutes Beispiel ist dieser Stil....Trocken und geht nach vorne!!
