The Benchmade 940 has the best action, (for bar locks)making it the most fidget friendly in my opinion. But no surprise there. I really like the looks of that Kershaw, has a Doug Ritter look going on, I’ve never held one though I’m gonna have to check it out
The same applies to the 945, I think it has to do with the length and narrowness of the blade. Ritter is great in the hand, feels as wide as my cold steel 4-max but has a great texture on the g10. Also has quite good action.
@@rockymountaincarry7921 sure U'll love it & the Microtech Amphibian feels better when U switch the MSI deep carry clip over to the Amphibian it fits really perfect after slight tweak with a round diamond file on the inner recesses of the holes to make it line up with pattern on knife it want fit otherwise but the removed clip off Ur Amphibian will fit on the MSI no adjustments needed U'll fully understand why when U get good look at how Microtech's deep carry clip is designed, I U'd think if one fits on one of the knives perfect they would swap no adjustments needed U'll soon see I'm sure
My two benchmade 945's and hogue ritter all lock up tight, no blade play at all. They also have buttery smooth operation and drop shut prettier than in a short posted for edc clout. Btw, loosen the pivot on your bugout very slightly. Both of my 945's came too tight to let gravity do work.
I would love to handle a Hogue Ritter. On the list for sure. Thanks! I have had a hell of a time getting it dialed. Eventually I decided I didn’t care that much about the blade play, I love the action on it right now.
@@rockymountaincarry7921 Ritter is as fat in the hand as a 4-max and the g10 is textured so well. Knifeworks put up some of the green g-mascus with magnacut when I asked about a restock. Feels lovely and stays in the hand, fit and finish was flawless and the action was right out of the box. For the bad, their magnacut feels like it needs bumped to 63-65 hrc and I switched out the stock pocket clip for a benchmade mini deep carry clip due to a hotspot where the end of it poked into my hand uncomfortably.
I have Benchmades with thick scales like the drop bear and they lock up super tight. That said, my mini Bugout with Crossfade scales is perfect too, in every way. I'm looking at a Kizer for my next cross bar lock. I wouldn't give up on your Bugout. I just make them fractionally too tight, then break it in. Make sure to use a little blue locktite first. I have zero play and pure butter.
Why CRKT? THIS IS A BÖKER KNIFE. Apparently you don't know your own knives😂 so people immediately trust your opinion and your expertise. Really embarrassed. There is even the designer and the Böker logo written boldly on the blade😄🤷♂️🤦♂️
The Knife I could not remember is a Boker Plus Kihon. It is NOT a CRKT. My bad
Thanks for the comparison! The cross bar has become one of my favorite lock styles, so it's very helpful to see them ranked.

Yeah, I can see the resemblance for sure. I do really like the design of the Heist.

The kershaw Bel Aire that I have had always been my favorite axis. I don't have any Benchmades so idk if it's any better. Kizer is also very good
The second knife you showed isn't a böker plus?
Awh $#@*… yup it sure is. That’s the Boker Plus Kihon. Thanks for pointing that out.
I'd say who now makes the best bar lock type is Microtech Ram Lock Amphibian pretty much same type of lock but twice as good
@@Stevieray55 Good to know! Yeah since making this I have seen a bunch of others on the market I have yet to try.

kizer clutch lock ti
Yes Sir
I saw a review and specialist are saying that the best of the best is clutch lock by Kizer
Axis lock
Bar locks are trash, the fatal flaw is the omega spring. If the spring system was more reliable they would be perfect

Yup. Pretty bad. But I’m not re-recording a 30 minute video 🤷♂️ That’s why I pinned that comment up top.
Man, you don’t have to be such a dick about it lol
