The last questioner asked what you gave Pavel... I would guess since Pavel always gives you credit in his latter books that the Dan John Goblet Squat is a biggie. Pavel states that he is surprised how many westerners can learn to squat correctly by utilizing your squat. And I'm one if them... the goblet squat was a game changer for me.

Just for reference, it seems I recall that the Mind Pump podcast mentioned a study allegedly demonstrating upper body growth from lower body squat work. The explanation had something to do with advantage of central nervous stimulation for whole body strength and hypertrophy. I have also heard of raised testosterone particularly from squats is a thing, allegedly backed by scientific studies. So this is not the first place I have heard of these phenomena. Whether it is well demonstrated and replicated science is a different question. Citations and review is obviously needed!

Hello Dan. I love your programs and love complex training that you introduced to me.
I been thinking of doing easy strength with Olympic weightlifting version.
But I have very little time so I was think of doing the complex from your mass made simple using easy strength method.
Would this be a good idea

is the six sentences worth of advice Pavel gave you in one of your books? I've read Easy Strength but can't remember that part. Many thanks!

I did read a study years ago (strength and conditioning journal) that Squats illicit a high HGH response. That said when I was 34 ( I was then about 50 kg) and will add I'm female, I could do 100kg for 20 reps,. I was overall at my most muscular.

@@DanJohnStrengthCoach I recall the study only studied the effects of squats.

I left a ziploc bag of EAA powder on the table in my hotel room in Vegas for several days earlier this month. There is no way the housekeepers thought it was EAA, and also no way it was the worst thing they'd ever seen.
