I really liked this death battle and I didn’t expect you guys to watch it so I’m excited (Edit: I’ll also admit that I wanted carnage to win manly because I knew him and didn’t know Lucy. However when I saw the 4th stage of her hands I knew that would be the killing blow. So I’m not upset because now I’m actually a fan of the anime.
I was hoping for carnage too but i still like the battle. I mean, dude did good.

Yeah, it's one of the few DEATH BATTLE! match-ups where the combatants were actually very closely matched.
A majority of match-ups only appear to be "even" based solely on general similarities - submitted and voted on by ScrewAttack site users without much, if any research done themselves - but once the research is underway before the animated battle (which so many people don't realize is not what decides the victor) and the post-battle analysis explains why the winner won, it tends to end up showing that the match-up was actually quite a stomp in favor of the winner (Godzilla vs. Gamera, Red/Charizard vs. Tai/Agumon, The Flash vs. Quicksilver, Mega Man vs. Astro Boy, Kratos vs. Spawn, to name a few).

when this first got announced, I was rooting for Carnage. But as I watched, I knew Lucy had won. Sorry CLetus, maybe you'll get another shot someday

I prefer Lucy but I though for sure Carnage was gonna win. It's not the fact that fire weakness got me there cause he doesn't have that anymore, but the fact is just as they said: The only way to kill Carnage...IS TO TOTALLY OBLITERATE HIM! enough to even evaporate every drop of blood in the vicinity WITH POWER THAT'S EVEN HOTTER THAN THE SUN!!! :)

John Dejesus Yeah Screwattack was outdated that time, obviously cause of multiple changing stories. After being empowered by the Darkhold, Carnage is no longer vulnerable to sonic attacks and his weakness towards heat was diminished.

Sorry to bother you guys, but may you guys please react to RWBY again. I can’t tell if they blocked you, but if you aren’t go to the Rooster Teeth site to watch RWBY vol 6. You don’t need to be a first member, but you may or may not need an account, but either way, the volume is done and I think you should check it out. Also the rest of RWBY Chibi is on UA-cam, so I recommended that as well. I’m not forcing you, I just like your reactions to them. Sorry to force something on you, thx and have a great day.

The problem was that this fight showed Carnage cutting Lucy, wich would have allowed him to take control of her with a fragment.
It is explained in the note that the controlling power is only usable by direct contact, not with long range attack like the fragments.

And people ask why this was debunked so hard. Lucy is not a weakling, I'll even go as far to say she's a powerhouse, at least in her universe, though i wouldn't know since I don't care for Elfen Lied not do I plan to watch the anime or read the manga. Just doesn't interest me. Anyway, Lucy would not in a million years come close to killing Carnage, even if you nerf his speed and make it so that Lucy can tag him and hit him with her most powerful move, it would not kill him. The Gene Bomb is not a bio weapon, it's a flash fry which is completely different from bio weapons. It's a type that incinerates every living being in the area while doing no damage to the surrounding area. They even say that it's a Flash Fry in the book. Anywho, this was made to spread across the entire earth and kill every living being that did not carry the X Gene, non mutants basically. Carnage tanked this, was blown apart and managed to survive. Lucy wouldn't have come close to anything to that. Also, Carnage can easily get past the vectors, if a normal human could, I don't see how he wouldn't be able to. If they hadn't nerf him, he could have speed blitz her and slice her head off. One last thing, did they forget that when Lucy goes all out, she melts? She was clearly going all out and never melted once.

I just hate how they downplayed Carnage and made him lose because of a feat Lucy committed while she was under the influence of a drug and destroying a lab full of chemicals that ended up causing the majority of the explosion. As I said, Lucy is a powerhouse, in her universe. If she ended up in the Marvel Universe, or any other universe like DC, Jojo's, or Dragon Ball, she's getting slaughtered. Still though, I don't mean any disrespect.

Reasonably? Dude, this is the same research team they didn't listen to during Bowser Vs Ganon where they agreed Bowser would win, yet they change the result at the last minute. The problem i have, is they downplayed Carnage to the point where he was the weakest character in Marvel. Okay maybe not that bad, but they nerfed him hard. Lucy was not fucking nerfed, she was fucking buffed. She didn't even fucking melt. Just cause I'm not watching or reading the series, doesn't mean me and others are not gonna do tucking research. yea and they downplayed his speed he should be quadrillion of times faster than her he should have been able to speed blitz I am normally fine with death battle getting the scaling wrong as long as they get the right outcome but they were just completely wrong on everything

This episode of Death Battle is not the best, carnage can infect others with himself. He cuts her repeatedly, she should be infected by carnage.
