Morongo Valley, California. Down the hill from Joshua Tree National Park. Soooo happy I fought this, I’m getting ready to start my bathroom area in my short bus. Can’t wait!!! Thank you!!!
Ich liebe eure Videos ihr erklärt so viele Details und zeigt so viele Varianten wie man natürliche Oberflächen von Steinen erstellt und die sehen alle super aus
First time seeing you, I followed the link from a UA-cam commercial (so glad I didn’t automatically hit the “skip ads” button 😂) This was so much fun to watch! I am so, so, SOOO tired of my 27 year old shower walls and have wanted to do SOMETHING to change them. Lol, I just know the tiles mock me every time I get in, as if to say, “Ha! You’re stuck with us!” Now I know what I’m going to do and I’m really excited! Thank you so much for providing the materials and information for all the DIYers out here 😃😃
Watching from northern Italy right now. Researching for a new home build for back in the states. Beautiful techniques for counters and showers, absolutely will be using this.
Have you guys ever considered pouring directly on kerdi board? I believe it’s the same XPS product as the rigid foam, yet it’s 100% waterproof. Maybe it would save a step because it is more rigid than the foam insulation and you can probably skip the fiberglass.
BONUS POINTS if you made it to the end!! Let us know what you think of the song 😂 Thank you @projectvanlife again for the opportunity to speak at your Summit! All the different topics that all the speakers went over were amazing. Everyone gave so much valuable information we can't wait for the next one!
can you please show a video showing a shower / bathroom panel install that isnt in one peice, so it would need to be joined on site, while on the wall. Also an embedded image style would be amazing, like a waterfall or something
Your welcome. I asked about this 2 years ago, on 1/2 Instalation for my Cargo Trailer camper/ CTC, for the bathroom, when your brother was doing the videos, hope he's doing well in Hawaii, the last time I called In
OMG ITS OFFICIAL 🤣 Stone Coat Countertops gave me inflated confidence I'm about to do my whole KITCHEN 🤪🤪🤪 I got wood slabs with chunky holes gonna fill it with epoxy.. OMG 😱😱😱😱😳😳😳😳🤩🤩🤩🤩
It needed a little more blue. I wish you had done this tutorial from the very start showing how you did the foam from the very beginning prepping it for the epoxy. I have the old UGLY powder pink tile in my bathroom shower and walls. I'd love to be able to redo it or cover it with epoxy somehow. Any ideals would be helpful. Watching from GA, USA.
I would love to see a video on how you created the wall panel behind you. How would I pour a lighter color border with a bold center? It's eye catching
Great question. Have both your lighter and more bolder exotic pour buckets built at the same time. Pour out the bold color vein where you want and quickly follow on both sides of the bold vein with the lighter color bucket. This will keep the bolder vein from stretching and getting less vivid. Then continue to fill the rest of the countertop or shower with the lighter colored less busy exotic pour. Let me know if you have any further questions!
Howdy from Texas! Love your videos. I am planning to do my island countertop sometime in the future. Learning a lot and taking notes😉 Thanks for sharing!
Hey Mitch: When you build your schoolie, are you gonna do a roof raise? There are some real interesting vids on that. That's going to open up a whole new world of fabricating and engineering. Should be a whole bunch of fun. Tell me you're going to film it in detail! Good luck! We're in Lawton, Oklahoma.
I think I may have figured out how to redo my shower in my house. Now to your site to check prices.... Thank you for the video and the ideas!!! Daytona Beach FL
@@Chhesterification I'm concerned about how durable it is. If somebody slipped in the shower and banged into the wall hard, would the stonecoat crack? It doesn't have anything solid behind it.
Loved your videos! Can you give an approximate thickness each layer adds to the 1" foam board : 1. Quick coat and fiberglass mesh 2. 2 coats of expoy undercoat 3. color coat Thanks
Wisconsin. Once the panels dry can they be trimmed if you need to adjust the fit? Reason for asking is there is tile on the walls and I am thinking once they are off the angle of the way may be off to the straight edge of the foam.
What are your thoughts on the fact that pink hard insulation foam off-gasses for life, especially when used in hot areas like a shower, steam room etc.?
How will this hold up for a Tiny House (12x30 Gambrel Shed) that will later need to be relocated to a different property? Will this crack or damage due to the building flexing during loading and transporting?
What techniques are there if u dont want a flat surface other then adding aggregate on the top?. I had some epoxy spill onto a tarp that looked pretty cool. Something that peels off epoxy.
Just wondering how you bring the one piece of wall inside a tight bathroom or is a 3 story townhouse with at tight entrance and no space to bend or turn around. any suggestions, thanks in advance
3 bathrooms to do one with a shower pan and 2 with a tub ??? on the tubes do you lower it down onto the tub or raise it up because with calking the calking get a hard water stain and im getting tired of redwing it but im going with stone coating on all baths. on all the kits what else will be needed . Colfax wa come down for a class or where to
Cleaning-how do you clean it safely...we have hard water that will leave calcium deposits on literally everything. Was thinking of a white based marble shower so the calcium doesn't show as much.
Morton WA Up towards white pass I would like to a attend a clinic of yours Have a few projects to do with your stone coat One question will your stone coat hold up in a garage with studded tires? I know that’s asking a lot mid size SUV
I am looking at redoing my shower walls in my sailboat and this seems like a great option but because boats are EVEN TIGHTER spaces I think I may have to do my walls in pieces and then install them in parts and silicone the join or something I guess? What would you recommend in that case assuming they can't fit through doors etc otherwise?
Have you ever used a batter dispenser for a dirty pour? I was dreaming and thinking about it and they have like a trap door on the bottom and I'm just curious if it would work or not?
I would love to see a video specifically about cutting and preparing the foam.
This is that video. He tells you in the beginning. It’s a 3 step process.
@20 minutes in the video he goes into a lot more detail. 🎉
There's also another video with great info.

From Perth Australia 🇦🇺, love watching you create amazing projects ❤
I love love love all your videos, and you have taught me how to make so many amazing projects.
Shower walls and floors should be what you work on for the future in some episodes. More often than not
please do a step by step of preparing the panel - how do you cut to size, how to you prep with the fiberglass etc please
I am doing this next week in my van build. Stay tuned!

Hi guys. What is min. clearance if I want to install behind a wood stove? Like the music but you must admit singing about countertops is a tad silly.

watching from Brighton, Colorado. Thanks for a great video!!
I’m curious as to how long this will last before it needs any repairs 👀
What do you mean by how long it will last before it needs repairs? Why would it need repairs?

Greetings from Michigan. Love this look.
Have you ever attempted a foam epoxy bathtub? All sealed up and watertight

Wisconsin. Once the panels dry can they be trimmed if you need to adjust the fit? Reason for asking is there is tile on the walls and I am thinking once they are off the angle of the way may be off to the straight edge of the foam.
NE Ohio here. Is there any difference between the epoxy for countertops and the epoxy for the shower walls? You guys put out great videos thanks!

I'll be doing my first pour in a few days
so once you stick it to the wall, how do you cut out the holes for your shower head and taps? what do you use to cut it without ruining it?

Great video..Has Mike left the business?
Id like to make a marbled look. Not a slush. How do you make it look like real rock? Do you draw/drag lines through it?
What techniques are there if u dont want a flat surface other then adding aggregate on the top?. I had some epoxy spill onto a tarp that looked pretty cool. Something that peels off epoxy.
You didn't use the thickener included in your shower kit. Can you advise when/how to use it?
the preparing before epoxy. what did u have to do... also do you do the tiles in section when there is a window.

Can you build custom sized shower pans/floors with a similar method? How would you do it?

I don’t see why not but could this foam also be used as a backsplash to a countertop?
Could you do this for Kennel walls?
Is it possible to epoxy on a vertical wall surface? Or would it just run off.
Can I use Harleyboard for the shower? 1" foamboard is too thick for my space
how thick should it be to feel like title or just strong enough to hit it like you did at 21min?

After how long you gonna sprinkle alcohol
Do you have to peel off plastic cover on foam
I’d love to use your epoxy more often but I need a discount code 😅😅
Soy you need to remove plastic film from foam ? And if I want a rock edge and need a door mounting surface for glass doors how do I do that
I have marble tops can they be done Oreo I need to over them with wood first ?
Would using window screening as a mesh work??
