I just replaced both sides with new control arms, it is still clunking when I hit the gas hard and let off. It is like a little pop that seems to be more loud on the right side. Cannot figure out what it is. I've replaced the struts already as well on both sides. Decided I'll just drive it until whatever it is breaks. Control arms were actually very easy, only thing is I had to have someone else hold the rachet onto the front bolt while I crawled under the truck to use my leg to push the bolt loose. It worked well but you will have to be one strong dude to get that one loose, it is on there quite tight.
You will have to get someone to put it in gear with the emergency brake on and duplicate the noise over and over till you can narrow down where the noise is coming from.
