The Cardinals just need to rebuild their front office. It is no use to keep stashing away hitting prospects, who can’t graduate to stardom like their ceilings suggest, or their pitching prospects who can’t perform in AAA. So no. Don’t trade Arenado or anyone else only to turn the return to garbage. It’s obvious this organization has had this problem for over 6 or 7 years now.
I'm from Tulsa and am a Diehard if both the Cards where my very first favorite team in 85 and Thunder fan soon as I knew Supersonics where moving that said it's a totally different thing with the Cards are farm system is so so no pitching and MO and his bad decisions have really hurt this team where as Presti is a once in a lifetime GM that had built a powerhouse before all MO has done is regress
@@anthonyorman596 just saying if the fans can see that the team has a plan and is working to build the team. Fans will be patient if we see management actually building the farm system.
There seems to be a huge disconnect from AAA to majors…the cards are sucking on hitting right now and the hitting coach is still employed ..that’s an issue…
I like the idea of getting rid of our bad contracts and older guys to go after a very good pitcher. They have enough young solid options to have a 6 man rotation.
Keep goldy for 1 more year. We need his defense. It's hard to believe this offense will be this bad again but nootbar needs to step up. And Gorman too. Have patience with walker. But management needs a change
What do you think of this lineup for 2025: 1. Winn SS 2. Walker RF 3. Burelson 1B 4. Contreras C 5. Gorman DH 6. Donovan 2B 7. Arenado 3B 8. Nootbaar LF 9. Scott CF Bench: 1. Herrera C 2. Baker DH/1B 3. Siani OF 4. Saggese or DeJong INF I think this lineup could be like you talked about where we are partially rebuilding but also having a young team along with some vets. I also added the idea of dejong coming back. I think he’d be great off the bench.
Will guys like Donovan and Nootbar ever take that next step that we’re all hoping for? In a perfect world someone like Winn or Burleson step up and become all stars but with how this team is it’s more likely they flame out smh
Willson looks like a leader for the next couple years. Jury is still out on Arenado moving forward. Do you see the Cards going after another star level bat? I.e. Vlad or Rooker via trade. Soto is the dream move but DeWitt isn’t handling out a $500M+ contract. And who’s to say he would even want to come to STL.
In my opinion, yes. The Cardinals need to rebuild. However, not with the current POBO, front office, manager, coaching staff and player development personnel. Mr.DeWitt needs to clean house from top to bottom. Then he needs to bring in capable proven baseball people from OUTSIDE the Cardinals Organization to oversee a rebuild.
That was my question on partial or full rebuild. I agree with what you said. I think the organization needs a remodel, new leadership in the FO, more coaches, new coaches, pitching and hitting labs etc etc would be very helpful.
First off, stop with the platooning everyone situation. Players can't get better if they don't get opportunities. Next years lineup should be as follows: 1B Luken Baker 2B Brendon Donovan SS Mason Winn 3B Nolan Arenado LF Jordan Walker CF Victor Scott RF Alec Burleson C Willson Contreras DH Tommy Pham Say goodbye to Goldy. Package Nootbaar, Gorman, and Graceffo to Seattle for Logan Gilbert or Bryce Miller.
Tough to rebuild the wall if you don’t have any bricks, don’t have anyone who knows how to build the wall, and are unwilling to spend the money to buy the bricks or hire the people who know how to build the wall.
I hear people saying rebuild but we have enough good players to avoid a rebuild it would b a retool if anything a rebuild is when u get rid of everybody there not gnna do that!!
I think they can win more by playing small ball Bernie talked about who is our next big hitters in the minors if Walker Gorman flame out Do you think we need to go out trade or sign free agent to be that big bat Have seen / heard anything about JJ his batting average not showing much
Ask yourself this question? I've watched a played basketball ( When I was young 🤣 ) for alot of years. Been listening to and watching the Cardinals since 69". When can you ever remember a entire team not be able to hit? Especially in situational hitting? That has two gold glove corners that possibly is headed to Cooperstown in there! If it was one or two guys not hitting, okay that happens. But we're talking a entire team now for almost two year's! Could it be what they are being coached? Gorman hit I believe 27 dingers last season and JW'b hit 17......Their nonexistent now! Player's just don't regress like this without a reason. The only "Bust" on this team is named Marmol, Blake and Ward! They'll never see another playoff with these people in charge. I just don't know if its ignorance or errogance that DeWitt and Mozo don't acknowledge that? 😑👈
Pallante is pitching like a 3 ... We still Need a #1 ... Gray #2. Pallante #3. Fedde #4. Mikokas (who we are stuck with) ... stick Matz in the bullpen and pick up Gibsons option for insurance ... No rebuild needed ... Contreras/Herrera. Burley/Baker. Donovan. Winn. Arenado/Gorman. Segesse ... Noot. Scott. Siani. Walker ... let them play ... wait for Weatherholt Matthew's and Hence
Question for next time, do you see it possible they offer to let Liberatore become a starting pitcher (for real this time) possibly spend 1-2 months in Memphis to get where he needs to be and be in our stating lineup?
Keep goldsmith we need his glove.and they need at lest two.provin starters and I think all will fall in place the team needs to jell don't see it in this team to miney guts in and out off the line up
Walker will be a bust like Dylan Carlson was a bust. As soon as they get a good hitting instructor somewhere else. Gorman is included in this group. Try asking McGwire to come in and help them down at Memphis. A partial rebuild is good. If money is paramount, then players like Arenado and Goldschmidt have to go.We have to use cheaper alternatives like Burleson, Baker.
No one talks about Goldies DEFENCE, it is hold glove.
What is a hold glove?
@Boi-xc4dk He obviously meant gold glove

I am a OKC Thunder fan and we were all still interested and going to the games. We knew there was a plan and we had young guys to get excited about.

Can u show us what some trade might look like for matz, mikolas, arenado just so we get expectations right

Who cares nothing will change with same clowns in control of this circus
Walkers 22. A little young to call a bust, wouldn't you say?🤦♂️
I agree!! I hope you didn’t think I was saying that!

You’ve got to be kidding Nashville Cardinals? Something about just seems wrong 😂🤔hmmmm what could be wrong with that?
