Thank you so much!!! I managed to thread it once in Dec. (took 6 days )..I moved the machine, and I had to rethread it and could not do it...I found your video that made sense and after one try, I did it....The Juki cd that came with the serger was not helpful at all about the red looper automatic threading and the thread in that groove, and other videos on here were too dark to see, and I wasted a day. You would think manufactors could make much bigger diagrams in the instruction drawings.

Very well done, great close-ups and explanation. I don't have this particular machine, but a couple of mine are very similar in design. This video would have been a tremendous help had I watched it a year ago.

What kind of thread are you using in the video? And also, what is the length? So I know what to buy when testing out my machine. What coordinating thread did you use on the skirt? I just looked up MaxiLock and it seems like it would add up when buying 4 spools for each project...
In this demonstration, I have used the polyester sewing thread spool but normally you get different threads for overlocking which are thinner than the regular sewing thread. In the skirt polyester sewing thread was used. I keep only black and white overlocking threads and if I want to match the thread color with the fabric color I just use the sewing thread for overlocking but may need to adjust the tension.

why no sound of the machine stitching? It is important to hear the sound to decide whether the machine is too noisy or whether the price is worth paying for the noise level.

Juki portable sewing machines are sergers are not in supply in India currently. Also brother is not available. You may get industrial/commercial sergers (big machines)

I am not very sure as I have never used a Singer. However most overlock machines have similar threading.

You might have missed threading through one of the guides or the thread tension could be too tight . Also try changing the thread spool.

You mean the upper looper? Yes one of the eye is difficult to reach and the auto threader would help in threading that eye.

Yes, none of the brands seem to have stock here of portable sergers. You may need to consider Commercial/industrial overlock machine.
