Sadie and Caleb brought their A game this season. Dear Billy and the scene with Lucas crying over Max's body were just perfection. Seriously the acting this season was on another level whether it be Hopper's speech in Russia about his daughtet Sara and how he thought Eleven and Joyce needed him but he needs them, Mike’s monologue to Eleven about how he loves her, Jonathan telling Will how he loves and cares about him, the speech Henry gave to Eleven during the flashback in the Massacre at Hawkins Lab. It was all done so well.
Who do we remember most from this season? Jason. Jason was the one everything dislikes right? But how good of an actor aren't you to do make that into a reality. Jason, like Eddie, really was one of the stars this season. You feel his loss of Chrissy and the inner turmoil's how to handle it. Unlike most people losing a friend - Jason had so many friends around him he couldn't show his pain in public. He actually walks into a forest alone to just give himself the moment to cry and show human feelings and his pain over losing his girlfriend. Poor thing's life was just in a wreck. All he wanted want to do something... to not think about the immense pain of losing Chrissy.
GIVE JOE THE GUITAR!!! He absolutely deserves it for bringing the character of Eddie to life and giving his sacrifice so much emotional weight, despite only joining the cast this season. I won't lie, that scene had me tearing up at four in the morning.
I thought El's goodbye to Papa was perfectly appropriate. He clearly loved her and meant a lot to her, but he also used her and did nothing to earn her forgiveness. He didn't even show contrition.
I felt that way too. Maybe it's just me, but I never saw him as an actual father figure for El, besides from her calling him Papa. I actually saw him as a way more "evil"/antagonistic character than Matthew and Millie seemed to have understood him. I thought walking away from him was the only good option. If El would have forgiven him, I think it would have made me upset even lol
@@kylecook7187 its crazy how they made such an evil characters death still have emotional impact, i think it was probably due to the fact that although he was no good man you could see he was trying and that his death also kind of leaves a part of this show behind, that emptiness of that brenner is now gone and the show will never be like it was back in s1 when it stole all our hearts as this awesome netflix original

That’s how I feel too! Hearing him have such a different take on the inner emotions of the character makes me form a sweet n’ sour sort of love for him. Makes me want to look back on just Dr. Brenner scenes and view them again with this new perspective.
Matthew Modine has my heart 🥺🥺 Years of being in the industry and he expresses what he feels about his character and his acting with milllie in such a genuine and wholesome way, just made my heart melt 🥺🧡

But I guess the fact that he was a misfit that always ran away from everything but in the end he didn't to save his friends. And the fact that he was still seen as the killer & not the hero when he should have been...didn't resonate with you or just didn't make the connection.

my grandma watched it and because he looks how he does she thinks he’s a bad guy (which doesn’t make sense because my dad looked like that in the 80’s like long hair metalhead but he also played football so he was popular lol) so she didn’t cry cuz she didn’t like him (which sucks cuz he’s literally my husband so…)

Caleb’s emotional scenes were my favorite yet heartbreaking emotions from all the seasons combined, you felt his love and affection for max so strongly it was gut-wrenching I was balling my eyes out. Then Gaten too as Eddie was dying oh my goodness so sad but powerful
I love that Felicia Day is hosting this show. She’s obviously really intelligent, she asks super interesting questions, and she’s funny. Totally cut from the same cloth as Chris Hardwick.
She was in one of my all time favorite shows, The Magicians. She was great in it too. If you’ve never seen it, you’re really missing out. Incredible show. Outstanding supernatural sci fi, vivid and fully realized characters, worlds and mythology, superb writing and performances, truly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying a lot cause I’ve seen it all. 😂 if you like Stranger Things and Felicia Day, you’d love The Magicians.

honestly, most actors brought their a-game, none of them were slacking even will not having as meaty of content as some of the others noah bodied i still find in funny so many people said in volume two that most of the child actors (that aren't children anymore) couldn't act anymore just because they didn't have big dramatic scenes
I have a prediction for Steve's future. I think that he's eventually going to go to college after all and that he's going to become a teacher of some kind. There are a lot of jokes about him looking after kids, but that seems to be a thing he actually enjoys doing and he likes the idea of having several kids himself, so I think he'd enjoy a job working with kids.
I haven't read this anywhere, and it's entirely my opinion, but Steve was the primary character giving out death flags everywhere throughout vol.2. Of course, he didn't die this season, however that doesn't mean he's safe especially when his character feels like it has reached the end of its development. He's at the top of the list.
I love Millie and Matthew’s relationship. The bond they have created is the sweetest thing. The way he got emotional because of the scene where Eleven didn’t forgive his character, I felt that. I really wanted her to give him peace of mind.

No! Go back and watch season 1. He basically tortured that child throughout her whole life. He deserved so much worse than what he got. That being said, the character was absolutely great and Modine's acting impeccable.

The Duffers really lucked out finding a young cast so talented and with talent that continues to grow. I would really like to see Noah and Finn have a chance to shine again next season. Love this show. I love how it has something for everyone of all ages and interests and backgrounds. I love the messages behind each season too, about how love and friendship is so powerful. The cast, characters and stories come together so well. Kudos to everyone involved in S4.
When Dustin is talking to eddie s uncle telling him what a nice guy was, he didn't run and fight for the city that hates him was the most emotional part for me😓😧
It's nice to see creators who don't want to draw things out unnecessarily. It means they really care about the pacing of their show and want to give it the ending it deserves.

gaten, sadie, and caleb absolutely need some type of recognition for their acting this season. caleb and sadie’s scene in the attic truly made me feel something, i had tears streaming down my face. gatens scene with joseph was so incredibly moving and believable.

I think not developing the relationship mother-daughter between Winona and Eleven before thing went downhill was a missed opportunity. Millie is right about her relationships with men and that would've been quite interesting.
Yeah that’s fair. However the relationship between El and Max was amazing. Max opened her mind and showed her a whole other part of life, which is really why I think they’re each other’s best friends.
I think one of the most impactful seasons this season WAS eleven letting go of Dr Brenner. She’s dines all of this work on knowing and letting go of her past trauma and pain, and if she were to have actually forgiven him it would have been a little sick, as if she couldn’t really let go. She let go and knew that happened to her was wrong, but you can tell it still hurts her to see him go. On top of their stellar performances, the cinematography and the SCORE were both lovely. Wish I could find the music they wrote/used.
Gaten deserves the biggest award for the scene. i literally cannot watch it without tearing up every time. maybe those were real tears becuz there goes joe and no more working with him but anyway, great scene A+
He could return kind of like Billy came back this season. Like Vecna could play with Dustin's mind and we see more of Eddie in that way, or just memories from the group

I'd actually guess that Enzo might gonna appear in S5 somehow (as a side character or so) - especially because he and Hopper developed like a little friendship over the time in Russia.

This show has really shown these actors and actresses performing their hearts out. I mean literally all of these people have had REMARKABLE performances. I think for me. Noah, Sadie, Caleb, and Millie are just constantly going to the next level. Not taking away any other persons talent, I just think those 4 are constantly raising the bar for themselves and each other. Love them. So excited to see more of Noah’s talent in S5 especially.
The Duffers have said that the origin of the upside down will be revealed in the final season. And that they considered not revealing that it is currently stuck in time on the date Will was taken. Here’s my prediction. When Vecna was sent to the upside down, it was full of monsters and darkness and power, this reflects the darkness inside of Vecna and it didn’t take him long to use this power. I believe the same happened with Will, he was taken and the upside down then reflects Will. Which is just a carbon copy of Hawkins. I believe Will is going to play a big role in the final season by being able to somehow use the upside down against Vecna. Doesn’t make a lot of sense but I’m sure the Duffers have a much better ending
Idk if this will make a lot of sense, but my fiancé has a theory that that the upside down is just a physical representation of Henry’s mind. That’s why everything in the upside down is essentially a predator to humans.

I can’t believe I literally grew up w the cast members on this show. Sadie (Max) was born 3 days after me irl. This is a piece of art I will continue to rewatch and be a fan of for the rest of my life. This was the first TV Show in my whole life that I truly got invested in and always wanted more. It takes something special to have me geeking on youtube about it.
I got to say I loved sadies, calebs and gatens dramatic performance as well as millie, Eddie and a lot of other characters, but I think that noah really encapsulated the real feelings in the scene with jonathon. That scene wasn't intense but his acting was on point
Sadie & Joseph Quinn we’re truly amazing in these seasons I hope even if they don’t continue on stranger things I just hope they go onto to other roles because they are amazingly talented! I love this whole cast they are all so talented and I love them & the duffers did an amazing job
This entire series has turned into some Harry Potter on steroids stuff. Being a fiction writer myself, I am amazed at what the Duffers have created. The writing, the acting from the talented cast, the effects, everything is beyond superb. I can't wait for Season 5🍿. ❤❤❤❤❤
This was absolutely Sadie's season. Honestly, I wasn't a fan of where she was at with her craft in season 2. She was just young, inexperienced, and awkward. By season 3, she began to show real promise, with a more refined and subdued performance. Season 4 was when she cracked the stratosphere. She was absolutely incredible, and gave an award worthy performance. Caleb was great too. I really began to buy into the love of Lucas and Max this season. Their friendship/pseudo romance felt natural, authentic, and mature this season. They were compelling together. Nothing will ever be as great as season 1, but season 4 was really something else. Monumentally better than the last two, relatively lackluster seasons.
I'm so happy the Duffers said we're going to get a lot of the original pairings from season 1 back for the final season. I've missed El with Lucas, Mike and Dustin. The original chemistry was the best.
I wish we could have seen people react to Eddie’s death scene as sad as it would make me lol but it was such a great moment that showcased Gaten and Joe’s acting abilities
Ikr - Dustin and Eddie's uncle seemed to be the only ones who actually cared - like yeah Max was in a coma an all but at least she was still alive - cos Mike and Lucas were in Hellfire aswell as Dustin but they didn't bat an eye
Eddie could totally come back in season 5. Bring him back as kas! There are so many things mentioned and done in season 4 that could make him coming back make perfect sense
@@joeywild2011 Kas in the d&d world is basically an helper of Vecna, there are a lot of theories rn regarding him. People think that since eleven had the powers to save max maybe also vecna could do the same with eddie and "use him" as his helper, probably under a spell. In the d&d lore kas ends up helping in the defeat of vecna, so it could be a pretty amazing way of bringing eddie back. It can be also backed up by the physical description of Kas which should be a pretty muscular man ,with wavy hair and minimal armor. Not to mention the fact that they didn't explain us yet what they did with the eddie's body and instead did a 2-days time jump.

I adore Eddie - he’s an awesome character (Joe Quinn’s fantastic in the role) - and I would have loved to have him for S5 (I hope we get a cameo or two); HOWEVER, I respect his arc and how he went out. I don’t feel it was disrespectful to the character’s truth: not being afraid to be yourself and finding the strength to stand up for those you care about and what’s right. Vecna and narrow-minded panic turned Eddie’s world inside out, and he finally realized he could take a piece of it back. Meeting the other characters in the hero group and seeing their love/loyalty/bravery inspired him. He found the same within himself. His line “I didn’t run away this time, right?” got me because it’s true. You could tell how proud Eddie was that he conquered his fear and penchant for self-preservation and learned to be selfless. He found his inner heroic, metal badass. Given the crazy journey he went on in those handful of days, I don’t think Eddie could have lived with himself had he not made such a stand. And although I saw his death coming from his first mention of how he ran away when Vecna killed Chrissy (and I share the fans’ pain), it was no less impactful. He saved Dustin; he saved Nancy, Steve and Robin (who could have been devoured by the demobats had he and Dustin simply fled); he helped more than he realized. And even if Vecna still “won” this round, Eddie didn’t die for nothing - he died for EVERYTHING that mattered to him. And trying to negate that by saying he should have run/didn’t have to die/etc seems a disservice to this wonderful character. Just my perspective.🙂

The way Joseph made us feel so connected to his character Eddie Mudson is a true talent! I bet there's not one person that didn't cry while Eddie was dying!
Ig unpopular opinion but I didn’t cry lol. I was actually so shocked with the amount of ppl that were sooo upset about his death. Now max I definitely would have cried.. but Eddie I was just like dang. Not much more than that, so yea I’m definitely an unpopular opinion lol

But I guess the fact that he was a misfit that always ran away from everything but in the end he didn't to save his friends. And the fact that he was still seen as the killer & not the hero when he should have been...didn't resonate with you or just didn't make the connection.

my grandma watched it and because he looks how he does she thinks he’s a bad guy (which doesn’t make sense because my dad looked like that in the 80’s like long hair metalhead but he also played football so he was popular lol) so she didn’t cry cuz she didn’t like him (which sucks cuz he’s literally my husband so…)

Caleb’s emotional scenes were my favorite yet heartbreaking emotions from all the seasons combined, you felt his love and affection for max so strongly it was gut-wrenching I was balling my eyes out. Then Gaten too as Eddie was dying oh my goodness so sad but powerful
I love that Felicia Day is hosting this show. She’s obviously really intelligent, she asks super interesting questions, and she’s funny. Totally cut from the same cloth as Chris Hardwick.

She was in one of my all time favorite shows, The Magicians. She was great in it too. If you’ve never seen it, you’re really missing out. Incredible show. Outstanding supernatural sci fi, vivid and fully realized characters, worlds and mythology, superb writing and performances, truly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying a lot cause I’ve seen it all. 😂 if you like Stranger Things and Felicia Day, you’d love The Magicians.

I have a prediction for Steve's future. I think that he's eventually going to go to college after all and that he's going to become a teacher of some kind. There are a lot of jokes about him looking after kids, but that seems to be a thing he actually enjoys doing and he likes the idea of having several kids himself, so I think he'd enjoy a job working with kids.
I haven't read this anywhere, and it's entirely my opinion, but Steve was the primary character giving out death flags everywhere throughout vol.2. Of course, he didn't die this season, however that doesn't mean he's safe especially when his character feels like it has reached the end of its development. He's at the top of the list.

I love Millie and Matthew’s relationship. The bond they have created is the sweetest thing. The way he got emotional because of the scene where Eleven didn’t forgive his character, I felt that. I really wanted her to give him peace of mind.
In the end, he still didn't deserve it. But I loved Modine's take on the character's mentality. Put's a whole different perspective on his character.

Caleb and Sadie were phenomenal this season, I’m so glad they had their moment to shine. Gaten and Millie also outstanding as always. The Duffers really lucked out finding a young cast so talented and with talent that continues to grow. I would really like to see Noah and Finn have a chance to shine again next season.
Love this show. I love how it has something for everyone of all ages and interests and backgrounds. I love the messages behind each season too, about how love and friendship is so powerful. The cast, characters and stories come together so well. Kudos to everyone involved in S4.

gaten, sadie, and caleb absolutely need some type of recognition for their acting this season. caleb and sadie’s scene in the attic truly made me feel something, i had tears streaming down my face. gatens scene with joseph was so incredibly moving and believable.

I think one of the most impactful seasons this season WAS eleven letting go of Dr Brenner. She’s dines all of this work on knowing and letting go of her past trauma and pain, and if she were to have actually forgiven him it would have been a little sick, as if she couldn’t really let go. She let go and knew that happened to her was wrong, but you can tell it still hurts her to see him go. On top of their stellar performances, the cinematography and the SCORE were both lovely. Wish I could find the music they wrote/used.
God damn Dacre is an incredible actor. Cannot tell he is Australian at all, his accent is flawless. He is amazing.

The Duffers have said that the origin of the upside down will be revealed in the final season. And that they considered not revealing that it is currently stuck in time on the date Will was taken.
Here’s my prediction.
When Vecna was sent to the upside down, it was full of monsters and darkness and power, this reflects the darkness inside of Vecna and it didn’t take him long to use this power.
I believe the same happened with Will, he was taken and the upside down then reflects Will. Which is just a carbon copy of Hawkins. I believe Will is going to play a big role in the final season by being able to somehow use the upside down against Vecna.
Doesn’t make a lot of sense but I’m sure the Duffers have a much better ending
Idk if this will make a lot of sense, but my fiancé has a theory that that the upside down is just a physical representation of Henry’s mind. That’s why everything in the upside down is essentially a predator to humans.
I think the pandemic halting production for 6 months was the best thing that could have happened. The script was incredible this season.

I can’t believe I literally grew up w the cast members on this show. Sadie (Max) was born 3 days after me irl. This is a piece of art I will continue to rewatch and be a fan of for the rest of my life. This was the first TV Show in my whole life that I truly got invested in and always wanted more. It takes something special to have me geeking on youtube about it.

we all know that the only happy ending for the guitar is in Joseph's house.
This was absolutely Sadie's season. Honestly, I wasn't a fan of where she was at with her craft in season 2. She was just young, inexperienced, and awkward. By season 3, she began to show real promise, with a more refined and subdued performance. Season 4 was when she cracked the stratosphere. She was absolutely incredible, and gave an award worthy performance. Caleb was great too. I really began to buy into the love of Lucas and Max this season. Their friendship/pseudo romance felt natural, authentic, and mature this season. They were compelling together. Nothing will ever be as great as season 1, but season 4 was really something else. Monumentally better than the last two, relatively lackluster seasons.
I would actually debate that season 4 was better or just as good as season 1

People think that since eleven had the powers to save max maybe also vecna could do the same with eddie and "use him" as his helper, probably under a spell. In the d&d lore kas ends up helping in the defeat of vecna, so it could be a pretty amazing way of bringing eddie back. It can be also backed up by the physical description of Kas which should be a pretty muscular man ,with wavy hair and minimal armor. Not to mention the fact that they didn't explain us yet what they did with the eddie's body and instead did a 2-days time jump.

The “kids” are all super talented and deserve all the awards! They were all amazing in episode 9
I adore Eddie - he’s an awesome character (Joe Quinn’s fantastic in the role) - and I would have loved to have him for S5 (I hope we get a cameo or two); HOWEVER, I respect his arc and how he went out. I don’t feel it was disrespectful to the character’s truth: not being afraid to be yourself and finding the strength to stand up for those you care about and what’s right. Vecna and narrow-minded panic turned Eddie’s world inside out, and he finally realized he could take a piece of it back.
Meeting the other characters in the hero group and seeing their love/loyalty/bravery inspired him. He found the same within himself. His line “I didn’t run away this time, right?” got me because it’s true. You could tell how proud Eddie was that he conquered his fear and penchant for self-preservation and learned to be selfless. He found his inner heroic, metal badass. Given the crazy journey he went on in those handful of days, I don’t think Eddie could have lived with himself had he not made such a stand. And although I saw his death coming from his first mention of how he ran away when Vecna killed Chrissy (and I share the fans’ pain), it was no less impactful. He saved Dustin; he saved Nancy, Steve and Robin (who could have been devoured by the demobats had he and Dustin simply fled); he helped more than he realized. And even if Vecna still “won” this round, Eddie didn’t die for nothing - he died for EVERYTHING that mattered to him. And trying to negate that by saying he should have run/didn’t have to die/etc seems a disservice to this wonderful character. Just my perspective.🙂
