Also I doubt Tony retains much of entertainment like movies as readily accessible information.

Interesting note: When Peter answers the question in class just by quickly glancing at the board, the graph on the board is about an object that’s swinging which is why he immediately knows the answer because swinging is obviously his specialty

The question was related to spidey's web swinging abilities. That was the reason he knew the answer even without listening in class. If you look closely you will see the diagram of the pendulum on the board. Spiderman is the pendulum.

Thats really impressive. He must have worked really hard to become so smart. It must have been really stressful for him to hunker down, put his blinders on, and pursue knowledge with an objective persistence. Unless they didnt write his stresses into the script. Then maybe he is just naturally prone to developing intelligent modes of thought. Wow. He is so complex and interesting, yet his dialog and demenour are so casual. It really brings him down to earth for me. But like what earth now that the multiverse is without debate real and the most important aspect of our current understanding of the physical (and metaphysical) universe. This is so inspiring.

Either way, I think we can all agree that Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Shuri, Peter Parker & probably Rocket Raccoon are within the top five most intelligent characters in the MCU

I find him much more interesting because of how his carer as a súper hero is developing.
Instead of watching uncle Ben die again, we see him starting in a universe that already has seen the Avengers. Also Tony being the first character in the saga acting as a mentor seems fitting.
And Peter's career development with Tony's legacy in his back is interesting. Damn all of Peter's super villains have been created by the mistakes of Tony, if that doesn't tell you anything idk what will

When Tony already knows that Peter is quite strong and agile and knows he would be a good addition to the team. Then finds out that he makes his own webbing, his eyes show that he now knows that Peter is as smart or even smarter at that young of an age with very little help or support then even Tony was with all his resources.
Yeah; in iron man one, they had only said that Tony had built his own bike by that age, which anyone can do if they either have good training/a manual. Building your own material with immense tensile strength is a whole different ballgame
I will say the knowledge of things Tony had at that age vs Peter is vastly different. He's talking in terms that didn't exist when Tony was a child. When Tony was a child his sources to things were the people around him. Peter, the whole world is connected, mass information, that's a far greater resource than Tony ever had as a child.

@@mashedt8rs290 true but Harry Osborne barely knew his father too but he was still left with all the resources from his fathers legacy so whether his dad was around to play catch with him or not he still had the family fund and resources to experiment where Peter grew up in a somewhat poor home and had pretty much only the resources his high school gave to him and still formulated the things that he did
