Lovely idea. I really like the pendant. Loved it more without the coral. Just my kinda taste i guess. Got loads of ideas in my head now. Thz for the tutorial
This piece is lovely! It is also inspiring. I have so many ideas about my next project. I have to tell you , though, as a retired RN, every time you say "polyps" I picture something entirely different. If you want a laugh, look up the word :)
I've been watching Sharkfest and this matches the coral reefs perfectly. I really like how you attached the bale. I would definitely like to see the other way to make this pendant.
Cool project. I think if I were going to want to seal the polyp section, I would just dunk the entire thing in polyurethane varnish. I think that might strengthen the attachment of the polyps as well.
For those of us allergic to latex/rubber, are there any imitation rubber tubes available? It is nice to have the matte black tube, to focus your attention on the coral piece.
Hi Samantha, question... does the liquid clay cure to a hard surface, or to a rubbery surface? As always, thank you for sharing these wonderful videos!
Well I got it done in nine hours I did too and they were pretty big I can’t tell what your sizes but I have hand cut mine and I made the dag on coral LOL small. Never again! Much better to make them larger like you did in the tutorial. Super easy to do but not when you decide to make 1 million pieces on one piece LOL
I love the way you come up with such cute projects. Thank you as always.
What a beautiful pendant!
Great tutorial Jessica, thank you for making it look so easy.

Gorgeous, Jessica! Hope you are all keeping well and safe xx :)
Would love to see how this works using Pebeo paints. Beautiful pendant!

Another wonderful tutorial. Thank you. What alcohol do you use to remove the paint please?

I am not sure. Black leather cord would work well as a substitute.

It's more of a rubbery surface.

Are the polyps baked before attaching? Could they be?
No. I attached them while raw. You could attach them after baking them, but you'd need to use a lot of liquid clay to get them to stick.
Love this!!! Where did you get the rubber cord?
You can buy it here. www.etsy.com/au/listing/719523465/black-rubber-cord-necklace?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1&crt=1
