Here in New Jersey I live in what is called the Pine Barrens. We have those prickly pear cactus here too. It's cool that church is still standing, but a real shame that it's in such bad shape. Know it's location I wonder if you could research its history. It would be cool to know.
I’m binge watching your channel. I’m seeing a big difference in your old buildings compared to those made in the central part of NY state. Or older buildings were brick with basements. My daughter and her husband bought an 1864 school house and finished remodeling the first floor. The main part are the old bricks and they kept the old slate step that what have been used to get into the school. There’s a bedroom that was added on the front and a kitchen, bedroom and mud room added on the back. It’s interesting that your area building were just put on field stones.
there is some thing about churches that are so comforting even when they are abandoned.
One huge log under that foundation, amazing the ingenuity of the builders.
Nice capture !!!
That's neat. Thanks for sharing.
Yes... thankful they are getting the wood out and reusing it! I did notice the pile inside. Doesn’t look like it will stand for much longer... ☹️

Fine old church, rather sad
Wow not much left huh? Really can't tell it was a church
I wonder what the name of the church was and if it had a cemetery.
