He's already on a pedestal. He has successfully used his gift to be most Grammy nominated so that means that he's a leader and has helped souls come to Christ. While he shouldn't be the soul source of a new believer coming to Christ, he's now a pillar in MANY folks life to the point we cared about his well-being. Once you realize how sensitive spiritual warfare really is it's not hard to see why folks are disappointed in his decision since he played such a big role in music this decade. That's an important thing to God bc, essentially, how can you bring them to the church from the club....then take them back to the club? It's confusion, to say the least.

What's sad is how quickly people FORGET that just like Everyone of US, HES HUMAN! Ain't NONE OF US Perfect!
We are all human and yes, no one is perfect, but there was a consistent pattern with him. He was constantly doing things that led up to him being dropped by Maverick city music. His behavior shows that his heart was not any of the gospel, but for himself. We are all human, but if we are Christians, we must keep God standards. It would be one thing if he made a mistake, repented for it, and grew from it and became a better person, but that’s not what happened at all.

Love your content big bro but I don’t like the way you worded this at all. Comparing Dante’s expression of ministry to coming out of the closet is out of pocket. . .I feel like if he is singing the itsy bitsy spider, it’s gospel because of who he is. I don’t even like labeling him as “secular” because that’s not what I felt like the album was. It was “life” music. Not necessarily “secular”.

Agree, and from what was said here and what photos that were very racey... very of Chandler Moore and his wife, I'm more offended by the photos. Yeah Christians can be freaks too but let's keep that in our personal space
So basically the take is that Dante got a big head and wanted to go solo so he intentionally caused conflicts to separate himself from the group.

My favorite song that he did was "Old Church Basement" the first time I heard it I cried because it reminded me of when my son was a youth in church- he is a prodigal now. I do pray for Dante ❤💯. I pray Dante always keeps the Lord first.

I think Dante is a good guy. I found him on UA-cam 2 years ago and thought he had an anointed voice. I just don't want him to get swept up in the tides and culture of this world. It's so easy to be driven to this arena. I want to see him prosper in God. He has a voice to set the captives free. Don't allow satan to steal your witness and use you for his purpose. I pray that you will use your voice unto the Lord. God bless you Dante.

He has to work it out himself and the more this community presses on him the further he would walk away. I'm very glad you were able to get this interview and that Dante answered these questions. However it confirms what I have felt and know we need to pray for brother Dante. His call is to lead people into Worship and it pains me to see the compromise that's happening. We are called to be in this World but not of it. ❤🙏

I don't have to be in his personal prayer life. We are called as believers to bear fruit and by that fruit we as the body of Christ hold each other accountable. Maybe if you knew Dante and where he started my comment would make more sense to you
@@72nyyfan You didn't say anything that proved you know his calling. You just quoted a Scripture people use to judge things they don't know anything about. You're holding him to where he started. Is it possible that his calling has changed. For context, I was a journalist who wrote about faith and culture. Before that I was an ordained minister. When God led me to transition into secular journalism and writing about secular hip-hop. I lost a lot of followers. People made assumptions about my relationship with God. And I did go through a season of anger and being in my flesh from Christians not supporting me. That was years ago, but I can relate to Christians who feel God is transitioning them into more of a secular calling.

I would say it's also a far stretch to compare your secular journalism to this. Btw as Christians we have a mandate from Jesus himself and in some way we believe we can do this our way void of the Word of God. If God led you to Secualar Journalism the proof of that calling will be the fruit that it bares remember we are not of this World. Its not about the now, its what has been, thats being exposed, a gift can only take you as far as your character (fruit) will keep you.
He simply wants to pursue a solo career, which I have no issue with. What i=I have an issue with is how its being done. I didnt like this interview because of the shade thrown at Maverick CIty. Not to sure if he was addressing specific people or those who ran it but he could have been more humble.

Sadly, this is the real Dante Bowe we’re seeing. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, Luke 6:45. Just because he sang Christian songs, lead worship, and wrote Christian songs doesn’t mean that he is a Christian. Anyone can sing Christian music. It doesn’t mean they’re saved or did they have a relationship with Jesus Christ. sometimes artists use Christian music as a steppingstone to launch their secular career. Dante has always wanted to do solo music and look for ways to be successful. In 2021 after winning his first GMA dove award, he wrote a big long post about how if it hadn’t been for that award, he would’ve quit music all together. He joined Maverick city music, thinking that it would get him tons of recognition and accolades. When that didn’t happen, he did things to try to get out. The dove award he won was not for anything he did with Maverick, but for his first solo album joyful. From there, he proceeded to make history at the Grammys by getting the most nominations. I think it was 64, which is what he’s bragging about in the interview.

Watching the hillsong documentary and the connections to maverick City opened my eyes to what i saw a while ago. I attend social dallas which also is a part of the umbrella and honestly it all makes sense.

God has gifted Dante Bowe, and as fellow believers we need to pray for him, not criticize. “Judge not that you be not judged.” Matt. 7:1
Actually, he does need to be criticized as his actions and behavior are not appropriate if he’s calling himself a Christian. his actions and behavior do not align with God’s standards as outlined in scripture. As for praying for him the only prayers that should be praying for him are prayers that he repent of his wicked, evil, and sinful ways, and turn to Christ, and develop the relationship with him. He doesn’t need to be in the Christians space so long as he is serving the world and the devil. He cannot serve two masters. He’s either on the side of God or the side of the devil. He can’t sit at the table of the Lord and at the table of the devil. He can’t drink from the cup of the Lord and the cup of Satan. Jesus says in Matthew 7:21 not all who say to me, Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the Will of my father. Some verses on loving the world and the lust of the flesh. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.”

We are called to judge and use discernment. He will not get any blessings so long as he is serving the world. God does not bless the wicked or the unrepentant sinner. God only blesses those who follow him faithfully and keep his commandments. The wicked will spend eternity in hell and will not be recipients of his blessings. So Dante doesn’t have any blessings from God.

I love this guy, but I will say with all sincerity, your gift will not take you, where your character can't keep you. I would've respected more transparency instead of making excuses and blaming Mav City for his shortcomings... Pride gets you no where. Most misused and misunderstood verse in the Bible. That verse is in reference to those committing the same thing that they are calling someone else out for. We are called to judge righteously and examine fruit. Yes, we are all human, but humans from the strive to be like Christ and serve God only.

No, they didn’t. They had every right to cut ties with him. His behavior was inappropriate and Still is inappropriate. No Christian artist is obligated to associate with him when he’s actively doing things that show that he is living a sinful lifestyle. He is not the victim in this. Pink constantly do you think the cost problems for the other members. His downfall with his own doing. He didn’t want to be held accountable for his behavior, so he left. In the Christian spaith, just like any other space actions words and behavior have consequences good or bad. The only thing that is hurt is his pride.

Going agaisnt scripture didnt yield positive results. Hence, you have a brother (Dante) who has been hurt & it is so unfortunate that he has such a huge platform which meams that expressed hurt may influence division in the body (due to social media popularity/ followers).
Was Dante right for his actions? No. Was Maverick (Christian Family) right in casting him out & rejecting him publicly for his actions, no. Is Dante right now for the negative talk, no.

It was a professional statement, this is a spiritual matter and accountability to protect. Dante needs to hold himself accountable for what was truly exposed and not throw shade at MC bc he's dealing with personal spiritual issues.

When he comes back around to where he started I believe his testimony is going to be powerful. His is going to draw more people to Christ than before. They didn’t make the reason for dropping him clear, but it had nothing to do with the bad bunny video and everything to do with him posting his nudes to his Instagram. This is 100% cause to cut ties with him. Any other Christian artist would have the right to cut ties with him for that too. Bethel Music also dropped him. In ministry you don’t do stuff like that. His contributions to Maverick city music don’t matter, because he lost all credibility when he posted those nudes.
