Congratulations 🎉 on your first ffo. I feel sure Mrs Borders will appreciate it. Love the Disney Villains, such great strong bright colours!. You did a fabulous job on your fabric dying👍, wonderful mottlelling.(spelt incorrectly lol). Stay safe. Enjoy every stitch🤗🇬🇧
I love all the colors of fabric/floss, I get it. I would love to be able to dye fabric if I had the space for it, and do it with plants. That would be a challenge. Happy Crafting 🧵🪡
Good question! It’s three over one tent stitch on that pattern so there are three strands of floss stitched over one fabric thread but only tent or half stitch instead of full cross. I find on some of the smaller count fabrics that tent stitch is so much faster and not really any noticeable difference over doing a full cross stitch.
Love your FFO. What a great gift to give. I am so enabled right now. I want to go out and get a Carol Manning chart, and something from the Sewing Shoppe but I have to be good until next month. I've already spent my self imposed craft allowance for the month. Ughhh don't know if I can wait that long, LOL.
UA-cam has definitely been bad for my wallet! I want all the things that everybody else is doing! But it’s also awesome and so inspiring so hopefully it ends up being a trade off in the long run.
Your Grand Library looks so good! I've finished 3 pages of my regular size max color Once Upon a Fairytale bookshelf by Aimee Stewart. I still love the pattern but kind of got burnt out on it. I hope to return to it soon. I think dying fabric is fun too. I don't do any measuring, so each time I get different results.
So far I am just playing with scrap pieces and writing down what colors I used so if I want to make a bigger piece someday, I can. I don’t have anything in particular in mind to use any of them for yet. Just having fun for now!
So ummmm I think we may be pretty close to being the same stitchy person 😂😂😂, I am stitching or have bought almost all the same patterns as you! Minus the big HAEDs but like all the gothy/creepy stuff (which is not my personal esthetic) I'm so drawn too. I just binged all your videos and was like oh yeah I'm doing that one, oh yeah I have that pattern, I just had to let you know 🤪😁
The Grand Library looks so nice. I've never done anything like this, is there a lot of backstitching to be done on these designs? You deserve kudos for getting so far on such a large project.
There’s no backstitching at all. Just a whoooooollllee lot of cookie changes and a ton of confetti! There are versions of the chart with less colors so they would be easier to stitch but I think the detail I am getting with the max color version makes it worth the extra effort
Great video! I love all your projects but I especially love seeing the night circus! It’s amazing how just using 310 gives you a glimpse of the image right from the start. It’ll be so exciting to “flesh out” the picture, so to speak. Also, I would’ve totally skipped writing class on the teachers gift for grammatical concerns too 😅
Your projects are so lovely. I am also thinking about starting the haunted library. It's so cute. But I don't have the pattern yet and there are so many other things I want to stitch I keep putting it off. Is it hard to dye fabrics? I've thought about that too, but one more hobby I don't really need lol.
It’s not hard at all. Of course I am just playing with scraps right now and haven’t actually tried to do anything on purpose. I am a little nervous to attempt any bigger pieces and feel like I am wasting money if I don’t like how they come out. So I think I am just going to keep playing for a while before I really commit!
No. I use a qsnap and a lap stand. If you watch my Flosstube #2 video starting at about the 1 minute mark, I show the whole set up and talk about it a little more. This is the only one I use the lap stand for but I use qsnaps for all my other projects now. I used to stitch in hand only but once I found out about qsnaps, I was hooked!
Congratulations on the quick ffo. You are such a fast stitcher. The apostrophe issue really made me laugh. 😂

Congratulations on your FFO! It looks amazing! The grand library is so gorgeous, I love watching it grow. Greetings from Germany x
Because of your channel I'm buying more patterns on Etsy. Thank you for opening my eyes to other options!

Love all your work so far!
I too am in the Sacramento area, and just got into cross stitch! What do you mean by 3/110, on 25? I am still learning all the lingo. Thanks, Patt :)

Grand Library is looking great! Motivates me to pull mine back out :-).
Oooh! You totally should! It’s a labor of love to get through it sometimes but man is it worth it when I see it all come together!

I’m excited to see or progress too! This is definitely one of my favorite pieces in my rotation!
Your stitching is absolutely incredible. Wow.
Thank you!

Love the grime guard for fruits of plenty, may I ask where you got it?
