You definitely don’t have the figure for this
@@Mark_1826interesting. Lol
@@Mark_1826 she has the PERFECT Figure for this!!! I guess that's why she's an ambassador for many of the brand's.
@@Mark_1826lmao you’re just jealous because you probably don’t have the figure for this. She is absolutely beautiful and I think it fits her very well!
❤❤❤❤❤
I always wondered how you guys kept the bottoms in place. It makes sense now. Thank you for sharing your art.
Any time!
You can also use the double sided body tape. That’s what I used a prom and other events especially with no brah to keep everything close.
What? They’re just bottoms dude.,,
@@lillymurray8408they are small though and when you move around they often move with you. if i was wearing something that small i would have to sew it or i would flash someone lmfao
@@lillymurray8408clothes move around when you're wiggling and jiggling

indeed
And stockings!!
Ravers too!!! So much of this can be worn for a music festival
Girl, tell me why I always wondered how girls at festivals had perfectly soft looking legs and now I understand a lot of them were wearing tights sewn in 😂 thank you!!!!! Imma try this
Yesss lol the more you know 😂
@@Bahamianistaa complete life hack 😮💎
I’m from a Muslim family, I’ve never worn this little clothing. I wonder how it feels. Maybe one day I’ll get to try it at least once. Or have the confidence to do so. The outfits are beautiful
It's haram
@@floppy_hands1770 not your business. Shove it
@@floppy_hands1770 It's none of your business
It’s freeing for sure but keep in mind there’s a lot more to the culture than just this 60 second video. In fact there are costume bands that are modest in attire but some of the most BEAUTIFUL AND INTRICATE costumes I’ve seen in my entire life.
@@Bahamianista thank you for informing me 🤍. You are so right. I need to educate myself. I am from Toronto, so I will make the effort to do so since we have so many wonderful Caribbean people! I will ask my friends more questions.
It really is a work of art and so beautiful, I love looking at costumes
this is such an incredible fashion!! i myself am a humble raver who usually wears tshirts and kandi to festivals, so i have hella respect for all the gorgeous ppl who go full out like this. you look great girl!! ❤
Thank you!
We need to normalize wearing costume gems on our faces in our daily lives. It’s just so pretty lol
I do. everyone loves it!
Maybe smaller ones cause I’d worry all day about having a sunburn or tan with the shape of the accessory. Or sunscreen
I do it all the time I get dressed up I love putting gemstones on my face
@@yucol5661 yes! Haha
No you don't. I'm still sick of people wearing full drag lashes to the post office. 🙄
The bag that you put on your leg it's something I would have never thought on thinking!!
It's quite convenient. The first orange one is by www.mrchbynico.com (code BAHA10) Made and owned by a black Caribbean woman and can be worn around the thigh and several other ways. The second golden one is by Carnivalista.com (discount code: BAHAMIANISTA)
@@Bahamianista thank you!
Absolutely! I usually wear a fanny pack but I wanna try the thigh bag it seems to add to the outfit rather than distract from
The detail in these costumes are outrageous, and you make them look beautiful with your body. absolutely gorgeous.
Aww thank you so much
@@Bahamianista your very much welcome
Watching videos like this always helps me connect back to my culture that I never got to experience. I always wondered how carnival actually worked after i found my moms old costume and pictures ❤
You should come to carnival sometime! I’m white but grew up in a predominantly black area, and always looked forward to carnival, there’s no reason I should get to experience this culture but you don’t. I hope you get the chance some day, and can make your own costume to boot 😁
Your costumes are so pretty, I love carnival costumes with the feathers and gems, very beautiful
Thank you!
So similar to the things we do here in Brasil for Carnaval! Your costume is gorgeous!!!
Thank you!
*shocker* Carnivall all around the worr is all a derivative from Carribean culture
@@smitty5641No, it isn't. Carnivals' origins can be traced to ancient Roman and Greek celebrations to commemorate the end of the winter. After the rise of the Catholic church, the festival was rebranded as a Christian celebration, like we know it today. It was then popularized, especially by Italy and France, and spread through Europe. By the XV century, Carnival was a well established festivity throughout Europe, so when they came to the Americas, they brought Carnival with them (and yes, that includes the Caribbean). Speaking of more modern traditions, the way Carnival is celebrated today varies from place to place, but most festivals draw heavy inspiration from Carnival in Victorian Paris and, later on, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Woooow you look so stunning! These are some great tips i especially love that festival bag (so versatile!) and those stockings make your legs look amaaazing
Thank you so much!!
No funny, I think her legs also just look amazing!
you can really tell who in this comment section has never heard of carnival in their life
edit: if yall dont go watch the movie rio (ive been told it’s a pretty accurate depiction of brazilian carnival)
exactly.
Hi! I'm curious, what is a Carnival?
@@Gaukilicious carnival is an annual celebration of culture and marks the start of lent🫶 atleast in brazil lol i don't know if there's other carnivals 😭 but they're always so colorful and bright and the clothes are always extra and bright and colorful!! i'm not Brazilian but my step father was and we went to carnival in rio!
@@Iserenityy :0 That sounds really fun! Thank you :)
@@Gaukiliciousit’s a Caribbean festival, these outfits r normal and apart of the culture there so idk why everyone is so mad
I do glitter body art and face art for my state fair and i coupd only imagine how cool it would look on these ladies! We have gems, flowers and so much more ❤
I’m so glad to see more people expressing this! I’m from Barbados and we have crop over, I’ve never done it before but it’s similar !
You must go to Crop Over! I go down when I can & stay by my mom, otherwise it’s PRICEY if I don’t plan ahead!
I have serious body image issues, and because of that I usually wear rather modest clothes to hide my body. Like, if I wear a crop top I feel too self-conscious to leave the house
Seeing women of all shapes and sizes wear those beautiful, colorful and often revealing costumes for carnival while looking absolutely stunning is really cathartic and somehow makes me very happy. 💜💜
Exactly. You hit the nail on the head. We have a saying, every body is a carnival body and although things tend to lean to the skimpier side - when you're actually participating its for the most part a judgement free zone. It's extremely liberating so not only finding historically through carnival but also through other avenues.
That is so cool and I can’t imagine walking with all that stuff in the sun! Hope I get to see it one day!!
Thank you! I actually have a Caribbean calendar here for 2024 if you want to find one that's close to you. They vary in size of participants, events etc: bahamianista.com/caribbean-carnivals-calendar-2024/
I wish I was black sometimes, these people are beautiful!!!!
Anyone can do carnival! It’s not cultural appropriation so your fine ^^
Edit: I forgot to say this but I’m Trinidad and Jamaican so I’m pretty I’m allowed to speak on this
I used to do renaissance fest costumes so sadly the most skin i ever get to show is as a belly dancer, these are gorgeous. Sewing sticking to the bottoms is revolutionary to me. Awesome job!
Awww love that! Thanks!
I’m from Trinidad and nothing more I love to see than a beautiful girl in a beautiful costume ! U ate n left no crumbs 😍
Thank you so much!
Your costumes are absolutely gorgeous! Holy cow. Straight out of a goddess photo shoot.
Thank you so much!
Girl looks so etheral in that...I need to research more about these carnival costumes, can someone please educate me why they dress this way and what is the carnival for and from??
I’m from the caribbean, and a lot of us celebrate carnival here - but i am uncertain if the history differs. For my country, we were taught in school that it came forth as a result of colonisation/slavery and is a celebration. It lasts only a few days tho and is specifically celebrated in the earlier half of the year (like Feb mainly in my country’s case).
I'm just here for the algorithm. You already know ya look good 😍
😊 thank you
That looks amazing!!! Carnivals are most fun when people dress up and have crazy outfits so I don’t get the weirdos’ comments😂
Exactly!!
I'm literally never going to wear anything this revealing myself but I love the idea of stitching your bottoms to your stockings. I *will* find a way to use this in my day to day wardrobe somehow. 😅
Omg you look amazing!! And damn girl your festival outfit game is absolutely PEAK!!!!
Thank youuu I appreciate it 🫶🏾🙏🏾
god you’re so gorgeous. the outfits are beautiful! i would feel like a goddess in that!
Thank you so much!!
You are literally so freaking pretty! Like hello?!?
Oh thank you!
As a canadian, I wish people here could wear something that amazing without getting frost bit lol
What are you talking about? There's caribana in Toronto every year in the summer. North America's largest carnival.

Can someone explain wear she is going
@savannahgoodwin1589 hey Savannah, check out the rest of my UA-cam channel for information on Caribbean carnivals - I also have a blog on everything carnival as well here so you can educate yourself: www.bahamianista.com
you look so pretty dont let the uneducated people in the comments hold you back😘😘
Thank you!
I could never but this is fascinating and beautiful
i have never seen anything more stunning than this before
Sewing the costume to the bottoms is genius 😊
Ohhh! Goddesses DO walk among us after all! That's it, I am going to need to do research on where her shrine is.
Giiiirl, you are so insanely gorgeous, it should be a crime! Argh jealous! Love the costumes! What kind of carnival is it? Your makeup, outfit, everything, SLAY!!! ❤❤❤❤
Its a bunch of Caribbean carnivals that I went to where I just stitched clips together to create a video like Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad etc. Thank you so much!
My jaw immediately dropped by how absolutely GORGEOUS they look!! Absolutely beautiful! 😲❤️
Thank you so much!!
Love it, very helpful
Seconding the sewing kit. I always take needles and thread, and safety pins, to science fiction conventions. One year, a couple of hired models could NOT get their costumes right for a ComicCon. Safety pins came out, and they were set. Sweet gals. I hope they're doing well.
Thanks for sharing!
Bro these costumes are so cool
I love when people dress to celebrate! I used to go to raves & we went to a rave in the middle of Mardi Gras. When I tell you I was 100 pounds heavier when I got home due to the beads!!
Mardi Gras is on my list!
Wow, those outfits are so gorgeous ahhhh
You so damn smart sewing your bottoms to the stocking MAAM do your damn thing I'm here for it ❤❤❤
Thank you!
I don’t know how exactly to explain this but you have an incredibly wise vibe. Like I feel like you know the meaning of life or something but I’m only going to find out if I ask the right questions, but to figure out the right questions I’ve got to free myself of earthly possessions, then solve a bunch of incredibly difficult riddles, then climb a mountain cause you’ve been living in enlightened solitude up there for thousands of years and you’re not about to come down at this point. Basically I’m saying you look like a goddess.
You look like a goddess! ❤😅
Omg thank you - such a nice compliment 🫶🏾
Ignore all the haters girly they're just boring you look amazing!
awww tysm!
I hope you have the happiest healthiest life! 💕 It looks awesome!
Omg you are so beautiful!! I have bad anxiety and struggle to leave my house so I apriciate you showing thus stuff so I can see more of the world and give me motivation to go outside because nit all of outside is bad
You look so beautiful, really, like an ancient reawakened goddess!!
Wow, thank you!
Ive NEVER been to carnival but! I am disabled so!
Plasters (bandaids)
Wipes and tissues!
Spare pain killers (i use the pockt thing from australia to label all the pills)
A cheap fabric wrist of ankle wrap/splint
Gel soles and spare set
Socks! Fluffy thick ones and normal ones!
Wow a Godess gracing a carnival. Absolutely gorgeous! And the shining stalkings and adhesive jem stones and ropes of shiney pieces on the first outfit are all soo cool! 💜
Thank you so much!
everything looks incredible, so stunning
Beautiful! ♥️
Thank you! Cheers!
So smart to sew the bottoms to the stockings
So cool that you explained the prepackaged snack situation! On my Japan trip I kept being so confused why the parks were selling sooo many prepackaged snacks 😂
STOPPPP that first outfit was everything
1 : you lookinf stunning n u r beautiful.
2: just now i got educated on how these costumes stay in place..
❤❤❤
I'm one for the quiet life but it's interesting seeing how you party people do things. Sending happy vibes your way.
Thanks! I'm actually a homebody believe it or not lol .
This looks so damn fun
The glitter tights 😱😱😱
From Carnivalista - they 're my favorite
You are so beautiful!!! You would look stunning in literally anything
Oh thank you!
This came onto my feed for the first time and imma be honest I have no idea which carnival this is for or what it’s about or anything but you’re SLAYING and thanks for the tips if I ever go to a carnival or parade or something like this in the future! Is this for Brazil carnival or Mardi Gras or is there another carnival for this? Sorry I’m only really familiar with Purim carnivals lmao and those aren’t the sorts of costumes we wear for those lol.
Hi there! Thank you so much! So all the footage in that 60 second clip are from primarily Caribbean Carnivals like Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad Carnival, Saint Lucia Carnival and the list goes on - there are some similarities when it comes to comparing Brazil or Mardi Gras but the Caribbean carnival is an entirely different and unique experience. You can check out my Caribbean Calendar list here: bahamianista.com/caribbean-carnivals-calendar-2024/
I also do a lot of guides for the different Caribbean carnival on my UA-cam. I have a few coming up for 2024.
@@Bahamianista Oooh, interesting! Thanks for the information!!!
Something about your accent is so nice to my ears, i keep replaying this video
Tysm! 🫶🏾
You genuinely look so beautiful, i love your carnival wear!
Thank you so much!!
As a person who feels overdressed even in the simplest outfits how do you do it please give me some tips like if you have some thoughts you don't like or stares what do you do.help genuinely will be grateful thankyou
Seconded!
I won't lie I think everyone deals with this issue from time to time but Caribbean carnival culture has been around for centuries. It's not so much about the costumes but the euphoria one experiences - the costumes evolved over time due to the commercialization of it however everyone is in costume and it's a community of like minded people who generally respect each other are welcoming. So that helps because thousands of people participate in the culture this way.
that skin tone stockings are just 💯
Absolutely stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow what a beautiful outfit!!! I love all of these tips!
Thank you so much!!
You look amazing!! The body is goals!!
You are a goddess! 😍😍 Those rhinestone tights are so beautiful, and the thigh bag is genius.
DUDE I always wondered how you guys were so comfy wearing those bottoms in public it makes me feel so much better knowing that you guys wear tights
Imagine!
The vibes are immaculate I’d love to see a carnival one day!
Definitely check out the pinned post on this video - I have an international carnival calendar on my blog.

Yeah a lot of time goes into it.
TYSM! I always wondered how the waist band of the tights never showed, now I know ❤
You look gorgeous
Thank you!!
im so obsessed with your outfit
Fun fact, the Just Dance team sews the costumes to the bodysuits to keep them in place. I NEVER thought of doing it for this! Great Idea.
Things I will never ever use but will spend a lot of time researching 😂😂😂
This looks super fun!
It is!
This is so fun! I've never seen anything like this. Looks beautiful queen
Thank you so much!!
This is on my bucket list for sire!!! I feel like I need more history so I fully emerge in the experience.. soon come!!!
Wow damn that costume is so beautiful
Respect for these fits, girl, I would feel so exposed and insecure and she's so confident- BIIIIG RESPECT
I miss when carnival had had costumes and not just strings with stones and feathers
You look awesome and the costumes are so intracate and fun! Also, if i looked like you, id never wear "normal" clothes ever again. Gorgeous! Hi from New Zealand ❤
Oh thank you!
This is an insane masterwork of costume. I don't know how I got here. But, I'm not leaving. Thanks.
Pls stop harassing the Muslim woman. She is just curious. She doesn’t have to go out in public with the look of she so desired to wear it. She could literally just wear it for her husband or experiment at home. It’s private affairs anyways. Don’t be so shallow.
@koshilinx8703 someone in the comments was getting harassed by other people bc she said she had interest in the carnival outfits.
@koshilinx8703 Yeahh I hope she doesn’t feel too bad irl
i didn’t even read the replies to that comment because i KNEW the misogyny was gonna be out in full force
@@hadesisbaby its sad
Wow thats so cool, and shiny.
Yaaaaa I agree with everything and then of course comfortable shoes

I watch all these women and I'm just stunned how beautiful they are 😭😭
You must feel like you’re out of this world when you look like that, I love it
I do - I call it my alter ego (coming from an introvert)
Ma’am you are a GODDESS ❤
God damn those outfits look super intricate and hard to put together is there like a place to buy outfits like that or are they all handmade? Really impressive
They're all pretty much handmade. Each carnival has a collective of bands/troupes (comprised of designers, band leaders, staff, mass production workers etc) that come up with themes each each year and costumes that represent those themes so that's where you would buy the costumes.
I love everything about this lol damn sassy, but still classy af.
